  1. The dealer might even match the online price, worth asking.
  2. The latest update was mid Feb, so they may have been taking a shortcut. Can't say if the TSB works/doesn't work if it is not applied properly.
  3. 8. Is your bumper2bumper warranty period over? The dealer should have pulled codes at the very least and checked the sensors for waterlogging/corrosion. Any way you can take it to a different dealer? You can also enlist the assistance of FordService. 2 more posts from you and you will be able to PM them (Tricia).

  13. Have them check the throttle body while they are checking it out, in case it is not a MyKey issue. Maybe they will find a code or two that will be helpful.
  14. Any codes after a "failed" start? Do you have the key in the ignition when the starting problem occurs? When you open the door for a few seconds, do you have the key in the ignition at that time? If so, in what position?

  18. Welcome to the forum, Cheryl, sorry to hear your Edge is experiencing issues. Electronics issues can be particularly annoying! Has the Edge been in any "incidents" (front/rear) recently? Car Wash? Impacted sensors or sensors exposed to too much water at a time (such as a high pressure wash) can fail. Is the battery original to the Edge, any corrosion at the terminals? There is a possibility that incorrect voltages in the electrical system, including bad grounds, can cause all these problems. In some cases, the alternator (or wiring from it) has been the culprit. Since your Edge has low mileage, it is possible the battery is not getting fully charged while it is driven. Check voltages when EVERYTHING is turned off (should be at least 12V, preferably 12.5V or so), and with just the engine running (should be around 14V, preferably 14.5V or a little more when the engine is revved while in PARK).
  19. Typically these sounds in a Ford will indicate blend door actuator failure, and can happen with climate control on/off. I looked at these instructions from the 2007 FSM, probably not too different from the 2014 setup: Item Part Number Description 1 7806200 Glove compartment damper 2 7806024 Glove compartment 3 — RH lower instrument panel insulator pin-type retainer (2 required) 4 — RH lower instrument panel insulator 5 7804608 RH lower floor console trim panel 6 — RH temperature blend door actuator screw (3 required) 7 19C603 RH temperature blend door actuator electrical connector 8 19E616 RH temperature blend door actuator Removal and Installation NOTE: It is not required to install the new RH temperature blend door linkage parts included in the RH temperature blend door actuator service part kit if only the temperature blend door actuator requires replacement and the linkage parts are not broken or binding. RH temperature blend door actuator and linkage Disconnect the glove compartment damper from the glove compartment.Remove the glove compartment.Remove the RH lower instrument panel insulator.Remove the RH lower floor console trim panel.Remove the 3 RH temperature blend door actuator screws.Disconnect the RH temperature blend door actuator electrical connector.Remove the RH temperature blend door actuator.Manually operate, and inspect the RH temperature blend door linkage for incorrect placement, binding or damage.RH temperature blend door actuator linkage only Detach the 2 retaining tabs and remove the RH temperature blend door linkage. All vehicles To install, reverse the removal procedure. BTW, welcome to the forum!
  20. Cool beans! Did you spray/paste the terminals with corrosion protection? Really works! And enjoy that PCM re-learn
  21. You've been a busy bee! Enjoy your freshly "boosted" Edge!
  22. Well, that certainly slammed the lid on it! I guess a horde of eager buyers would have to hound them to get a product made!
