  1. Well, the stock programming in the 2011+ is adaptive to the the octane, as it gives it more room to advance timing. Maybe it needs a good dose of Techron in the tank to blow out carbon cobwebs.
  2. Pretty much any major brand like Castrol Transmax, Valvoline, even Advance Auto/Autozone versions with the Mercon LV specification will work fine. If you wanted to step up the game, you could put in Amsoil brand fluid (Mercon LV spec) but it would be considerably more expensive upfront (payoff is there though if you are keeping the Edge longterm). You need Mercon V for the Power Steering system though, and Mercon V is not interchangeable with Mercon LV.
  3. Didn't slow down at 75/80 mph? I assume you were driving in Lullubelle?
  4. 5 quarts is all that will drain at one time.
  5. The torque comes on rather quickly in the 2.7 EB, makes a wee bit of difference
  6. And this is where the AWD advantage comes in as power can be distributed over 4 wheels instead of 2 in case of the FWD. Less torque steer + more straightahead power.
  7. dassa, you need to take it up with Ford directly. They can help you out, maybe even reimburse completely, with the expense. I hope you have your receipts on hand (even though the info should be in OASIS). Try PM'ing FordService (Tricia) to get her advice on assistance Ford can provide, seeing as you are not far out of warranty. You need to get to 5 posts total on this forum to do so (you can do so in the TEST subforum), then click on this link: http://www.fordedgef...on=send&do=form
  8. 2011 Ford Edge MKX TSB 10-24-8_Drift Pull Right.pdf
  9. Unfortunately, it is time to visit the dealer. You can buy blanks on EBay, but dealers generally won't work with those keys. So the best answer to your question is still what akirby posted above.
  10. No powertrain warranty coverage (sorry!) per this TSB: http://www.revbase.com/BBBMotor/TSb/DownloadPdf?id=189151 TSB 15-0047 SHIFT TO PARK OR TRANSMISSION NOT IN PARK MESSAGE – DISCHARGED BATTERY DUE TO SHIFT TO PARK LIGHT ON-UNABLE TO REMOVE IKT.pdf However, it is worth PM'ing FordService (Tricia) to get her advice on assistance Ford can provide, seeing as you are not far out of warranty. 11. If it happens again, you can always try having the sensors re-trained.
  12. They will for 2011+ Edge models I believe. At least the hub bore is the same, not sure on offsets. Thought there were a couple of examples on this forum of people swapping out Taurus/X wheels
  13. There is a TSB that resets alignment through a subframe adjustment. Could be what the SA referred to.
  14. Can't go by visual assessment. Have to use a tire gauge. Always go by the sticker on the door of the vehicle (unless the OM recommends otherwise). The weight of the Edge is not substantially affected by the weight of the 22" wheels, and is easily taken into account by the mfr (Ford).
  15. Steel wheels you'll have to ask the dealer, look on EBay, or pore through junkyards to find a set that will fit. Maybe older vehicles (Ford?) that came with OEM steel wheels in the 17/18" range are worth looking at as well.
  16. Oh sure, now Siri gets to take all the blame
  17. Tirerack has the Advanti PO Prodigo's listed at 22x8.5 as "oem" size, as well as 265/40/22 for tire size. If both of these match, you are in business. Front and RearSize: 22x8.5 Offset: 35mm Backspacing: 6.18" Bolt Pattern: 5-114 Rec. Tire Size: 265/40-22 Weight: 33.0 lbs. Finish: Machined w/Black Accent Construction: 1pc. Gravity Cast Finish Warranty: 1 Year Manufacturer Part #: PO2A514355 144 http://www.carid.com/advanti-wheels/prodigo-black-machined-914208.html http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/WheelCloseUpServlet?target=runWheelSearch&wheelMake=Advanti+Racing&wheelModel=PO+Prodigo&wheelFinish=Machined+w%2FBlack+Accent&autoMake=Ford&autoModel=Edge+Sport&autoYear=2012&autoModClar=AWD The tires look like they are pretty wide. Should look more like this?
  18. What is the brand of the wheel, and what is the tire size? want to make sure you don't have issues down the road.
  19. That is correct. The TPMS system (at least on the Edge from Ford) will not tell you PSI. Might be able to with aftermarket software like Torque Pro, but not OEM function and not in the OEM dash displays. Those must be some EXPENSIVE car washes! Since they swapped wheels, very likely did not re-torque correctly. Also make sure they trained the TPMS for the "new" wheels.
  20. The 22" wheels have been known to have problems, so insist on having that wheel/tire combo carefully looked at. If everything looks OK, have it moved to the passenger side so it is still a drive wheel. Could be a loose lug nut as well. Even dealers over/under torque these things, under torquing will make you loose a wheel/wheel studs over time, while overtorquing will warp the rotors. Check the fender liner as well. It may have come loose if it was opened, for instance, to replace a fog light bulb.
  21. I believe you can heat it up a bit with a hair dryer or heat gun, then use fishing line or dental floss to work it loose.
  22. Hope you are back to 100%, Joe! Good luck with getting the beeping situation figured out
  23. Welcome to the forum, weldfreak, congrats on nabbing this nice '10 SEL! There WAS a turbo kit, but it was developed exclusively for SEMA. What kind of things are you looking to mod?
