  1. My 07 SEL has plastic sill plates. For the '08, I believe you would need: 7T4Z-7813209-AA 7T4Z-7813209-AA / SCUFF PLATE, LEFT FRONT, STONE $131.97 $89.47 7T4Z-7813208-AA 7T4Z-7813208-AA / SCUFF PLATE, RIGHT FRONT, STONE $103.07 $69.88 7T4Z-7813228-AA 7T4Z-7813228-AA / SCUFF PLATE, RIGHT REAR, STONE $62.25 $42.21 7T4Z-7813229-AA 7T4Z-7813229-AA / SCUFF PLATE, LEFT REAR, STONE $45.70 $30.98 Part numbers appear to the same on the website across trim levels. I guess you'd specify at the counter which trim level you want the scuff plate for?
  2. Welcome to the community, Westo, and to your new obsession Though I never had a Dodge Magnum, always loved their looks, and the performance in SRT8 trim. Lookswise, also liked the Pacifica.
  3. One possibility is having the PCM connectors and pins checked for corrosion/moisture.
  4. O Danny Boy, O Danny ... Is he not responding to phone calls and/or voicemail? That's rather unusual. Sometimes he's out of town working with suppliers & product lines, but not unavailable for more than a couple of days, from what I have seen.
  5. Welcome to the forum, Ronald, and good luck with the Edge. Hope it proves to be an even better experience than the Focus. We do have a couple of members putting a LOT of miles on their rides, so you'll be in good company
  6. Ah, mea culpa Fingers crossed, they get a permanent fix in place!
  7. If it's anything like in the 2007: Removal and Installation WARNING: When carrying out maintenance on the starting system, be aware that heavy gauge leads are connected directly to the battery. 8. Welcome, Bluecuda. Have you checked the battery (with a digital tester)? What is the battery voltage when the Edge is completely off vs. when the engine is on & revved (2,000+ rpm)? Could be a crankshaft position sensor, a weak fuel pump, or a PATS-related issue also. Are you remote-starting, or the old-fashioned key-in-ignition way? Do you hear the fuel pump prime every time the ignition is turned to ON but without starting the engine?
  9. Professional job, mac Keep the info and the videos coming! Since the DryFlow has no special cleaning agent requirement, I'm thinking I might just make it routine to do a seasonal wash (no wax) with it, put a little extra mind into the minding.
  10. Wow, kudos to the dealership for taking prompt, decisive, and positive action! Is the new Edge also 3.5 or did you choose a different setup this time. Unusual to lose mpg to a reflash, unless they recalibrated the fuel system or speed monitors somehow.
  11. Can't speak to the Edge specifically, but in other EB applications, premium gas nets a bit more power, a bit more mpg. But the main benefit is the additional knock resistance, which is very important to boosted engines. Fuel quality can be "controlled" by using top tier and high turnover gas stations. The other thing these engines appreciate is a slightly rich fuel mixture (provides additional cooling). Which is why lower temp TStats are popular mods. They allow the engine to run cooler while still running a lean a/f mix, thus helping the fuel economy improve. http://www.turbokart.com/turbochargedengines.htm
  12. Thankfully, there are no flames shooting out of my Edge, front OR rear. Though that IS a project for another day! I am enjoying the sound experience thanks to the AFE DryFlow for sure And thanks, guys, for your kind words Certainly cheers up my holiday daze
  13. My own opinion, my own experience. Living in the salt belt makes for a cautious way of life As it is, there are too many instances of problems with the OEM brakes on the Edge.
  14. Do you get a chance to routinely "blow out the cobwebs", arabski? I would at least boroscope the valves to see if they are in need of cleaning. An induction service that includes throttle body cleaning might help mpg/performance.
  15. Good luck with the new 2015, be sure to post pics
  16. Welcome to the forum, sorry to hear about the travails with your Edge! Sure sounds like you have gotten bad advice/service along the way. Even if the correct parts were installed, they may not have been installed correctly (not uncommon). Grinding brakes could be multiple issues. Usually rotors & pads are not worn in (bedded in) properly, so there is a mismatch. Faulty pads can wear abnormal patterns into rotors. Staying parked for long periods of time can cause a lot of rust, and even cause rotor & pad to "meld" together. At least annually, the calipers, dust boots, slide pins should be inspected, cleaned and lubricated. If the caliper pistons are scored, again, you can have pads not contacting the rotor properly and end up with grinding/squealing/etc. I'd discard the rotors & pads currently on the vehicle, possibly the calipers depending on condition. But it would be better to go to a reputable service center first and let them look over the Edge. Establishing a good working relationship can be lifesaver. Not sure exactly where you are located, but a couple of recommended service centers in AZ: AutoNation Ford, Scottsdale, AZ 8555 Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd Scottsdale, AZ 85260 Phone: (480) 630-2827 Chapman Ford, Scottsdale, AZ 7100 E. McDowell Road Scottsdale, AZ 85257 Phone: 480-516-0088
  17. Welcome to the forum, buzzmanable, congrats on the new ride & best wishes for happy trails
  18. Could be. The only other thing I see regarding the transmission range is the possibility of a bent TR detent plate, which looks like it is part of the sensor assembly, so if true would be fixed by replacing the sensor. Don't know if this will help, but here is a TRS related YT video:
  19. Did you have the battery disconnected before you started work on this project? If not, it is possible the shifter or the Transmission Range Sensor are faulty or not connected properly. Also check that the selector lever cable is adjusted properly. Selector Lever Cable Adjustment Disconnect the selector lever cable end from the manual lever. Place the manual lever in DRIVE. Rotate the manual lever clockwise until it stops. Rotate the manual lever counterclockwise one detent. Place the selector lever in DRIVE. Unlock the adjuster by sliding the locking tab over. Slide the cable end forward or backward to align it with the manual lever. With the adjuster locking tab released, connect the selector lever cable end to the manual lever. Slide the release tab back to lock the adjuster. Verify that the vehicle starts in PARK and NEUTRAL only and that the reverse lamps illuminate in REVERSE.
  20. Would be interesting to see if the electric automobile would allow as much DIY for the average owner as internal combustion engines do. Certainly anticipate less DIY needing to do vs DIY wanting to do.
  21. I see lots of self-driving cars on the road already, their owners generally engaged in makeup, food consumption, newspaper/multimedia interaction, and pleasant/animated cellphone conversations. Seriously though, good article. I hope they can put the legal & security aspects on firm footing along with the technology.
  22. Very glad to hear about work, mac I feel I should note, however, that Lulubelle had a premonition about the GoPro and now, as a result, is seeking attention. Coincidence???
  23. Eggnogg & Fruitcake ...PARTY TIME!!! Enjoy, Tricia, and see ya on Monday!
  24. Could just be normal tire behavior as well. Per mac's suggestion, you could try having the tires/wheels rotated right away, see if that's them, maybe the balance could be slightly off if not roadforce balanced.
  25. Not that I am aware of. I have seen them on the Ecoboost equipped Edge/Taurus/F150 etc, but not on the 3.5-equipped Edge of this vintage.
