There may be a short in the climate control feedback circuits, or you may need to replace the EMTC altogether if airflow is correct but for temperature. Electronic Automatic Temperature Control (EATC) Module and Electronic Manual Temperature Control (EMTC) Module Cold Boot Process The purpose of the cold boot process is to allow the EATC or EMTC module to reinitialize. To carry out the cold boot process, follow the steps below. NOTE: EATC only. Clear the DTCs.Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.Disconnect the EATC or EMTC module electrical connectors.Inspect module connectors for: corrosion. pushed-out connectors. incorrectly seated connector. Wait one minute.Connect the EATC or EMTC module electrical connectors.Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.Select any position except OFF on the EATC or EMTC module. The EATC or EMTC module will now initialize. I would still clean the MAF sensor with MAF cleaner (do not use brake cleaner/carb cleaner etc). Then wait for driveability symptoms and/or codes to reappear. Definitely recommend having the battery evaluated with a digital CCA tester.

I guess the question is answered then? Or ...

There's no set time interval for O2 sensors, but 100,000 MILES in the U.S. is a reasonable interval for O2 sensors if you wanted to do preventative maintenance. In the Middle East, not sure what the appropriate interval would be, due to different environmental conditions (heat, sand, etc). So check for frayed wiring, dirt intrusion into electrical connectors for O2 sensors and oil temp sensor. I'd have the evaporative emission purge valve checked for leaks. Similar to what this TSB for the Escape/Fusion says to do: http://www.revbase.com/BBBMotor/TSb/DownloadPdf?id=173431 Keep in mind that if your Edge is on the original battery, it might be time for a heavy-duty replacement. Assuming the same battery sizing in the Middle East, consider upgrading to a Group 65 battery. Worn batteries can set all kind of false alarms, and cause sensors to react inappropriately (voltage regulation). An alternator/generator check should be performed at the same time. If the battery is being replaced, have the Battery Monitoring System reset so the PCM recognizes and charges the battery properly.

Sirius has different levels of service, yours sounds more like the BASIC? You also have to set the selection to ALL CATEGORIES to see all channels in sequence, IIRC. Here are the lineups: http://www.siriusxm.com/channellineup/

Welcome to the forum, nice review & comparo! Good deal on the tradein too! I think with the 2015 MY, Ford has finally put the Edge in the upper echelons of its' niche, and the 2016 MY goldplates it with Sync3. Hope you enjoy the Edge for quite some time to come! How about some pics of your rides (past & present) when you get a chance?

Any warning lights on the dashboard? Any codes set (they can be, even if there is no Check Engine Light)? When was the last time the air filter was checked/replaced? Same question for the MAF sensor.

From wikipedia: Root causes for torque steer are:[2] Incorrect sidewall ply design allowing deformation of the tire sidewall.[3] Asymmetric driveshaft angles due to any combination ofUnequal driveshaft length or diameter Torque steering effect simulated using MSC Adams. Transient movement of the engine Tolerances in engine mounts Body roll Single wheel bump Different driveshaft torques left to right (due to wheel bearing or differential problems) Suspension geometry tolerances Unequal traction forces due to road surface (µ-Split) in combination with kingpin offset

At the very least, they should give your Edge the latest calibration for free, esp. when you mention this problem having happened to you already, regardless of any codes being set or not.

Power Transfer Unit. Only in AWD vehicles. Distributes power between front & rear wheels of vehicle, so it sits between the transmission and the right halfshaft/axle, connected to the rear wheels with a driveshaft.

Of you want a primered grille, and can't find on eBay, ask Levittown for a quote. They have an ongoing thread on the forum.

Plastidip dries "flat"/matte. You do need to put a good number of coats on it, maybe even 5-6 depending on how thin you are spraying it. If the proper technique and drying time are allowed, it should be VERY durable. Even on wheels. You can brighten it up some by using their Glossifier product, if you like. Overspray is fairl easy to remove, after drying, with careful use of a razor blade to demarcate the edges. You might find this thread, among others, useful: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/11010-plasti-dip-my-grille/ Wrapping the grille is another option if you want to go for that. Durable, good looking, but not as cheap as PD. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/10342-new-grille-solution/?fromsearch=1 http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/11871-vinyl-wrapped-chrome-accent-on-grill-of-sport-edge-color-matched/ Finally, you can scuff up the grille, primer it (plastic primer), paint it. Several people have bought primered grilles from Ford and had them professionally painted to match. That would be the most expensive option, I think. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/4247-ford-accessorie-painted-grille/ http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/18447-chrome-grille-painted-gloss-black/ http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/11171-painted-oem-chrome/

If you have a rubber mallet, you can use that to help you. Or you can brace your palms along the top of the filter box while you pull up on the clamps, while reaching over the left fender. It's harder trying it while standing in front of the vehicle. I too did not realize how much effort it was first time around and earned a couple of painful reminders

My info comes straight from an FSM off EBay Are you trying to remove the windshield cowl panel grille (the long flat slotted piece where the wipers come out from)? The manual doesn't mention any need, but it would def be easier! Wiper Pivot Arm — Front Removal and Installation Remove the front wiper pivot arm caps. Remove the front wiper pivot arm retaining nuts and the front wiper pivot arms. To install, tighten to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft). To install, reverse the removal procedure. To adjust the windshield wiper pivot arms, refer to Wiper Blade and Pivot Arm Adjustment — Windshield in this section. Ugh. Oh well, here comes new SHIFTER!!! Maybe they'll just need to lube cables or clean electrical connections or the like (aka door ajar issue) and claim it fixed

How do I reset the TPMS for winter tires?
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to roadkill401's topic in Wheels & Tires
The display issue could be a glitch that goes away with a "battery reset" or could be in the early stages of an Instrument Cluster failure. Good luck with the TPMS as well! -
Lexus has their share of problems, you can browse their user forums and see for yourself. But the difference is in how they treat their customers. I think Ford overall has a pretty good product, and although opinions vary, at least take a look through Ford's ESP warranties to see if you might be interested. I would suggest the same whether you are buying a Lexus, a Mercedes, or a Ferrari
