  1. I hoped it was an easy new-battery-type-fix, but best of luck regardless!
  2. They are holding up ok on my Edge, but not as good as when new. Maybe 80%. Gets quite cold here these days (for this region), could have something to do with sitting outside 24/7? IDK. Maybe I should put a foam insulator sleeve on the tube just to see if it makes a difference.
  3. Too many left turns? Could be more stress from unequal (?) half shafts?
  4. Hopefully just a loose wire? Other than a bad unit, that's the most likely prospect, I think. Don't know if there's any interplay with active grille shutters, assuming your Edge has them.
  5. 3.5L engine by any chance? Been known to happen quite a bit with the 2015. Initially the TSB was thought to fix it, but turns out not to be a longterm fix. Might want to look into getting a replacement if the dealership/Ford cannot solve the problem. A milder approach: check the battery to make sure it is actually not dead. Might be a bad battery right from the getgo. Cold weather will do odd things ... Do you know when your Edge was actually built? Could it have sat on a lot for some time and was simply a bit drained? 6. This is probably one of the highest CCA rated LiOn jump starters, but yeah, don't try immediately on a dead battery in general. If the interior lights don't come on when you open the door, battery's pretty dead, and will need that trickle charge as mentioned prior to an attemped jump start. http://www.amazon.com/Besteker-16800mAh-Current-Portable-Flashlight/dp/B014QZZGLW/ref=pd_sbs_263_1?ie=UTF8&dpID=51U7lDjrytL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&refRID=0NAXVF2RB2MJ2ZZSG132 I have my trusty JNC660 as a backup for those hard starter situations

  8. Should get one of those handy dandy doodads that read the voltage from the cig lighter/accessory outlet. https://smile.amazon.com/INNOVA-3721-Battery-Charging-Monitor/dp/B000EVWDU0/
  9. Maybe the fuel pump itself/FDM (fuel delivery module) is faulty if dampening the fuel rail isn't enough to quite the pulses. have them check the pump and all electrical connections as well. Assuming the pulse is traveling from the low pressure fuel pump to the rail (more the usual case) and not from the high pressure fuel pump back to the rail.
  10. Is it an AWD or a FWD? If AWD, could be PTU-related, and would have streaks on the unit and/or spots on the garage floor/driveway. If FWD, could be a myriad of things: leaking valve cover, loose intake hoses, loose engine oil fill cap, etc.
  11. Welcome, Bobby, great way to make the wife happy Nice rides, both. Traffic, yeah ...
  12. Oracle's a pretty wellknown supplier, hopefully will hold up in the Edge application
  13. Nice score, GearHead! Looking forward to pics & audio/video clips of the new system
  14. Welcome, Brad, congrats on the new ride! Miles of smiles to come
  15. Don't see any official complaints filed with the NHTSA, doesn't mean of course that this hasn't happened to others. Hope you can figure out what's going on.
  16. Welcome to the community, Navihawk, & congrats on the new ride! Pics please I will have to check the loops and see whats up with them.
  17. Did they offer any maintenance records from the P.O.? But ultimately, if you are happy with your inspection, that is what will count.
  18. It's probably the pads, even though they were replaced, not the rotors. How many miles do you have on your Edge? Maybe try some aftermarket brake pads instead?
  19. Here ya go LMK when you have downloaded it, I will take it off.
  20. Here's the NADA value for your area: http://www.nadaguides.com/Cars/2011/Ford/EDGE-V6/Wagon-4D-Limited-AWD/Values Assuming it's in 100% condition, no accident history etc, I think it's a good deal. Personally, I would like to see a Ford warranty on it, but not really feasible to get PremiumCare, Extracare or Basecare is available tho. Comparison Have you run a carfax or autocheck on it yet? I don't have carfax, but for the next couple of days, I can run the autocheck for you. Need the VIN tho. Is this a Ford dealer, you can have them hand you an OASIS report (Ford's internal history on the vehicle)?
  21. Welcome, Matt! It's not the mileage that is of concern, really on any MY of the Edge. The engine/transmission is quite strong, failures of course happen, but not that common. With the 2011+, the main concerns are: APIM Door Latch Shifter (shift-to-park) Throttle Body failure Brake booster and with AWD, PTU failure. Once thought to only affect 2007-10, it still does affect the 2011+, as more miles accumulate on these vehicles. Haven't heard of fuel tank issues with the 2011+, so fingers crossed Nor with PCM/coil on plug. Nor with wheel bearings. Make sure the PCM calibration is up to date before you take delivery, you get 2 working remote keys etc ... If this Edge has a BAMR, make sure you have good glass coverage with your insurance co. Ford is unlikely to cover any issues there, esp with the mileage. Check power liftgate operation. Should open & close properly. Make sure the A/C works properly. Most people won't think to try during the colder months, just as they might not try the heater during the warmer months. Probably have electronic dual climate control, so make sure the air flow is working well. If not, may be as simple as cabin air filter, or blower fan, or might be blend door actuators. Brakes should have been serviced recently and caliper slide pins greased as part of the service. Too common for the rears to go out on you otherwise.
  22. Welcome to the community, FedEdge, glad to have ya here! The Edge is a looker 4 sure, esp with the tint on, updated wheels should look great! Powdercoating puts a very nice durable finish on.
  23. I see a HOWTO video on building a bigger, better doghouse in your not-too-distant future, mac ... LOL! BTW, that'll be 10 bucks for the palm reading.
