  1. Welcome, Ingo, congrats on the new Edge, hope it gets there much sooner than 5 months! What options did you get with it (engine, AWD/FWD, etc.), what color did you choose?
  2. One of the things done on the Ecoboost motors to improve the shift is to lower shift pressures a bit (still higher than stock), so that may be an option for this NA motor also, worth asking about. Which PIDs are you not getting data for anymore? Are you hooked up wirelessly or via USB cable? Yeah, shoot me the log file, def like to walk through it. Did KRI ever work? I know with Forscan I get the Knock Sensor voltages for each bank, have to check if there is a Knock Retard setting available. Maybe even break out the X3
  3. Monster's awakening! Looking forward to feedback from the datalogs.
  4. Worth a shot, since the entire purpose of the PCV system is emissions-related, and the PCV system is causing the problem. Would be nice to find a friendly dealer too! Try a Lincoln dealership if a Ford dealership does not help.
  5. A real pocket rocket! Very nice paint scheme & wheels to go with.
  6. Welcome, Shawn! Since you have a 2007, the opportunities for learning are likely to grow each passing year LOL! macbwt has made quite a library of his adventures on this forum and on YouTube under the label of MACTFORDEDGE, so you can take a "walk" through that if you like.
  7. They do keep noise down if you like to roll with the windows open (or cracked open), help keep rain out as well to some extent.
  8. The only caveat I'd say with in-channel is keep the windows and the channel clean, otherwise dirt WILL build up over time, making for noisy operation and scratches on the glass.
  9. I don't see anyone stocking it new, you can try Benny at Levittown see if he can research it for you. Otherwise if you don't want used, you can ask circuitmedics if they rebuild these things too.
  10. You mean this? 2007 06 08 09 LINCOLN MKZ FUSION AWD TRANSFER CASE CONTROL MODULE 7E53-7H473-AEhttp://www.ebay.com/itm/2007-06-08-09-LINCOLN-MKZ-FUSION-AWD-TRANSFER-CASE-CONTROL-MODULE-7E53-7H473-AE-/181982599452
  11. Do you have any pix you can share, Mariano? That would make the information even more helpful!
  12. Could certainly be one of the coils, there's no "preferred" coil when it comes to which one might fail, BUT bank 1 (coils 1-3) are more subject to heat, so that's what I'd go with. To see if the PCM agrees, pull codes, see if anything's been set. Any recent servicing? Depending on how those 87K miles were achieved, it may very well be time for some routine maintenance: spark plugs, PCV valve, intake manifold gaskets, transmission flush, PTU/RDU fluid change/flush, throttle body cleaning, MAF sensor cleaning, etc. In addition, you might want to run some fuel injector cleaner through the tank. Two of the top brands are Techron and BG 44K. Winter fuel will make existing issues worse. A bottle of HEET or two might be required if there's water in the fuel tank. The best coils to buy are Motorcraft or Denso brands. But I will admit to cheaping out and replacing the ones on mine a few months ago with Airtex (on sale at the time, & cheap). So far so good.
  13. The code apparently invokes a failsafe strategy to protect the engine (since the cause of the overheat is undetermined): http://www.justanswer.com/ford/2n2y2-correct-code-p1299-default-4-6-f-150.html Keep in mind it could just be a sensor failure, or it could be failure of: water pump, head gasket, radiator, etc or even the engine block itself.
  14. The Power Stop kit should be fine for that purpose. I also launch the Edge mildly aggressively from a stop, seems to minimize issues with the normal surface rust that builds up after the vehicle has sat awhile.
  15. Did not have this issue with my Edge ... Not sure which warranty applies to this fix, powertrain and/or ESP would be the most likely candidates beyond 36,000 miles.
  16. What are your goals for this upgrade, Spree? Is this for a daily driver and/or for looks? The setup works well for the street, would not take it to the track or to AutoX. If you want the best street performance, you will likely want high carbon rotors (Autozone or StopTech for example), combined with EBC Yellowstuff pads as one option. For track or AutoX, you want plainJane rotors (no slotting, no drilling) and pads meant for the track/AutoX, such as certain Porterfield or Carbotech offerings.
  17. Welcome, Gatorman, congrats on the new ride! Nice color combo, AWD? Put up some pics of both your rides when you get a chance
  18. Maybe try messaging on Twitter? Hopefully reachable at @FordServiceCA ...
  19. Good luck, do post some pics of the new X when you take delivery
  20. Maybe change dealerships? Who are you currently working with? You can try PM'ing FordService on here with details of this issue, or contact them on Twitter. They can help guide your case to a successful conclusion.
