  1. Glad there's warranty coverage, good luck, hope they put it back together good as new!
  2. Aloha, Mike! Could certainly be a wheel bearing ... Any service recently to the Edge? Since the noise stops with brake application, I'd suspect brake issues first. Maybe the pad is loose in the caliper (for various reasons) and the wear indicator is hitting the rotor when the brake is not applied, for instance. Not sure if the rear brakes have noise dampeners on them, but it's a remote possibility that one is mis-installed or missing entirely.
  3. Wow, what a bio! Welcome to the community, Daniel, glad to have ya here. Hopefully the 2016 will win you over Congrats on the 50th
  4. If the sensor is good and there is no visible dirt/rust contamination on the sensor/in the connector, the next suspect might be a cracked tone ring. Also, make sure the wiring/brake hoses are not binding in that area.
  5. Connect with FordService on Twitter & Facebook if the dealer won't do it for free because I think Ford would reimburse labor costs for this issue. Should not matter which dealer you purchased the vehicle from, at least in the U.S. No reason to do it differently overseas that I can think of.
  6. I believe omar302 had this addressed on his MKX, and he is in the Middle East, so the warranty should cover you as well.
  7. Hope that is the last of it!
  8. Welcome to the community, Ginger, def off to a great start! Bronzefire is a great color.
  9. In the FSM, it is called the Aero Shield, and it is held in place by 4 bolts, 4 trim pins, and 2 push pins. To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in). Likely find it in Emissions Components along with the Vapor Canister. Might be these two, but I can't tell 4 sure: FORD OEM Exterior-Air Deflector Left BT4Z7811398B FORD OEM Exterior-Air Deflector Right BT4Z7811398A
  10. The key shown on the product page does not have SA lettering on it, do your new keys have it? This EBay listing shows IKTs that fit a 2013 Edge: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-New-Remote-Start-Head-Key-80-Bit-Keyless-Fob-Transmitter-Uncut-Blade-Combo-Car-/400924667244
  11. Can you include pics & links of the :China" IKT keys you ordered/received, so we know what we are possibly looking at? How old is the battery in the Edge? Original, or replaced recently?
  12. Hi Matt! Highly unusual to hear of this type issue with the 3.5L (I assume this is what you have since you mentioned the back center cylinder) engine. More typically, there is block porosity (rare), head gasket failure (rare), and/or water pump failure (a bit more frequent). But as with all these crammed engine bays, Bank 1 suffers from heat suffocation, so problems are more likely to show up on that side. How much mileage do you have on your 2013/engine? Are you monitoring CHT and ECT temps off the OBD port? A lot of idling/traffic, or mostly highway driving...?
  13. True, it could be the underbody shield used to protect the fuel/evap components.
  14. Possible the bushings in the suspension are wearing down and can't cushion fast enough for a series of bumps.
  15. Welcome to the forum, Agima, and congrats on the new ride! Definitely some homework with the tech in the 2011 What color is your Edge, please do post some pics when you can!
  16. When I was doing this, I got stuck until I realized there is indeed a bolt hidden away under the windshield cowling, securing the intake manifold in place. It's a bit of a pain to get to, but using an extension for your socket wrench should work fine. If you have an '07, you could be running into the electrically heated PCV valve issue, in which case the electrical connector needs to be disconnected first also. See pics in my post http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/8724-sparkplug-replacement-job-info-with-photos/page-3?do=findComment&comment=130235 HTH.
  17. The NHTSA site is the best way for the public to get a "free" hold of the TSB summaries that I know of.
  18. Yup, definitely a candidate, with an April 1st build date (not that the problem is limited to the specified dates).
  19. You can look up your Edge by VIN here: https://www.etis.ford.com/vehicleSelection.do The production date (first item in righthand column) is listed, I believe, in DDMMYYYY format.
  20. Know the production date of your Edge? Wonder if it was a repurchased vehicle ...
  21. So pulling the neg battery cable for 30 min or pulling the fuse for the sunroof did not do anything? Have you inspected the tracks carefully to see if some part has come loose, causing blockages? If you can get it to move at all: we have threads on "slow" sunroofs & re-initialization, not sure if those procedures will help. Greasing the tracks is also helpful.
