  1. Maybe you can hop over to macbwt's and he'll take a look He's got firsthand familiarity with motor & trans mounts!
  2. Push in the hole, lift up on the head restraint and release one side of the head restraint.Push the release button and remove the head restraint.Remove the safety belt comfort guide.
  3. 5. Congrats, just in time for the weekend! Rock on!
  6. Any other electrical issues with the Edge? Sometimes, if the Battery Monitoring System is not reset when a new battery is installed, the charging does not occur properly because the computer thinks it is still dealing with the old battery. Best/easiest way is to have the dealer reset the BMS. Sometimes Motorcraft batteries give up the ghost early, it happens even in their Tough Max offerings. Try having it loadtested with a digital load tester. Another possibility is that the alternator is not charging properly, and if you track the voltages while the Edge is running, it should be between 14 and 14.5V consistently, preferably towards 14.5V than not. With engine & every accessory off, voltage should be about 12.6V or so.
  7. First off, I have no way to verify that the statements made (e.g. battery totally drained) are assumptions or fact. None of us who have posted so far can. So that's why I said "guess", to keep the mind open to the possibilities. I have no doubt that hooking up a charger and/or buying new cables etc are good solutions, but I am looking to "empower" OP to try anything/everything. That's all.
  8. I assume pulling the neg battery cable and/or the fuses if needed would do the trick, best guess ...
  9. The Power Liftgate feature can be enabled or disabled using the Message Center. With the control in the OFF position, power operation is disabled from the liftgate handle button and from the rear cargo area button. The integrated keyhead transmitter and instrument panel switch will operate the liftgate regardless of the position state of the Message Center. Refer to the Message Center section in this chapter. To manually operate the liftgate: 1. Disable the liftgate power function. Refer to the Message Center in this chapter. 2. Open and close the liftgate as you would a standard liftgate. Refer to the Manual liftgate in this chapter. Note: In case of operation in extreme cold -40° F (-40° C), or on extreme inclines, manual operation of the liftgate is suggested. EDIT: Fuse 14 in the passenger compartment and 59 in the underhood Power Distribution Box are for the Power Liftgate, you could try pulling those also.
  10. Scored a deal Welcome to the forum, congrats on the '13 Ltd!
  11. I know this works for 2007-14, same for 2015, enigma? That would be sweet.
  12. Welcome, and hope they deliver your Edge in short order!
  13. Welcome to the forum, Vette10R, congrats on the new ride Grows on ya for sure! Put up a pic or two of the Edge (and other rides) when you get a chance, please!

  15. I do, in a reflector housing. But I find the dispersion not be quite like a halogen bulb, so orienting it properly in the housing is important. Since your Edge has projectors, you might have better luck. Dingo had installed PIAA LEDs on his Edge, took off the bulb "cap", and is very pleased with the outcome.
  16. Supporting Waldo's assertion is this article in GEARS on Ford's Intelligent All Wheel Drive system: Introducing Ford’s Intelligent All-Wheel Drive System GEARS 2009_9_20.pdf The 3% I was thinking of is not directly related to AWD. It is a "global" 3% tolerance based on the tire/wheel size coded into the PCM, which means that overall wheel/tire height should be within 3% of that expected by the PCM to not trigger a fault, such as P1635. The Owner's Guide is kinda vague on this, but you can see a little bit of information in the "Roadside Emergencies" section.
  17. Wow, in April??? Edge looks great even with it's snow jacket on.
  18. I believe the tolerance in size differences F/R is about 3% max with AWD, that's what it is on other Ford models. So as long as all 4 tires are the same brand/model/inflation pressure, the difference between the individual tires would be tread depth, which should work out ok.
  19. Umm, are you referring to the Ford Edge or the Ranger lineup? The Ford Edge this forum refers to started out in MY 2007.
