  1. I have found that it doesn't FEEL like it's cooling when the Edge has been parked in the sun for some time. Might take a couple of minutes. The practical test is to stick a thermometer into the vent and see how quickly it gets to 40F. Takes about a minute or less on mine on MAX A/C.
  2. Do you have an ambient temp display? How long does it take to set to correct ambient after startup?
  3. The fact is that most people look to the Edge as daily transportation. They don't buy it for performance, but rather, a "luxury" quotient that allows them to conduct their daily business in quiet and comfort. The limitations on the transmission, at least that coupled with the 3.5 NA make it all the more difficult to think otherwise. Definitely room for small improvements here & there though, the best payoff being from a tune. With the introduction of the 2015 Sport, I feel that the picture has changed. The Edge is now truly a worldclass performer like the Taurus SHO was back in 1989. Yes, maintenance will have to be rigorous to go with, but it does and will deliver.
  4. What's with all the negativity, Gatorman? Ease up already.
  5. Unlike some cars, the car battery is actually in the engine compartment. Here's a quick rundown on the Edge http://www.tomorrowstechnician.com/service-advisor-going-over-the-edge/
  6. Welcome & congrats! What trim level/engine did you go for? Pics of the Edge would be supercool
  7. Pretty sweet, I'd imagine. May have to have the rear passengers take extra caution Even better with a cutout
  8. The 3 fuses in the passenger compartment 16 10A Low beam headlamps (right) 17 10A Low beam headlamps (left) 18 10A Keypad illumination, Brake shift interlock (BSI), Start button LED, Passive anti-theft system (PATS), Powertrain control module (PCM) wake-up, 2nd row power enable If HID had been OEM, fuses 57 and 78 in the engine compartment would have been used. If all electrical connections are working correctly (including to the battery), the usual culprits are the headlamp switch or the BCM. 9. A bit off topic, but since enigma posted the links ... Are these DTBL knockoffs? http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Pair-LED-Rear-Brake-Tail-Lamp-Light-Red-Clear-For-Ford-Edge-11-12-13-14-15/371319762382
  10. Lexus has not been immune from criticism lately. Plus if you like, Ford can custom build THE Edge for you at that price point But I get what you mean.
  11. Also make sure coolant is at FULL COLD level in degas bottle when engine has cooled off.
  12. They don't come with any real warranty, so it's your headache should they fail, which they seem to do quite often. Used to be a good name years & years ago. Accel (yellow) and MSD (red).
  13. Ask your Ford dealer, they can give you the book estimate. Parts related: https://secure.revolutionparts.com/levittown-ford/auto-parts/2015/ford/edge/sport-trim/2-7l-v6-gas-engine/engine-cat/turbocharger-and-components-scat Location & ease of access will determine the labor from that point. On the 3.5 twin turbo on a transverse engine, labor time is 2 hrs for front turbo, 6 hours rear turbo.
  14. Quick note (and I have made this point many times before): maintenance is key to longevity. At the very least, on a turbo/Ecoboost engine, use good oil & filter, and change like clockwork. These engines are even more reliant on the oil than naturally aspirated engines. Oil is not the place to cheap out.
  15. Maybe they did not bleed the brakes properly. Maybe the master cylinder has now developed a leak, or a line is leaking somewhere. Keep checking the brake fluid level, make sure it is not low. Or just maybe the brake fluid is really dirty and needs to be flushed.
  16. And check the wiring harness as best you can to make sure they are not damaged or become rodent fodder ...
  17. That left front camber seems way out of whack http://www.agcoauto.com/content/news/p2_articleid/176 May have to loosen the subframe like for previous years to get that alignment in spec, assuming faulty parts are not involved. mcali went through an ordeal getting his 2011 (?) fixed.
