  1. Enjoy, and thanks for posting the part #s
  2. Get a battery that normally comes with the towing package, that will get you better starts and a better service life. Group 65, I think. Motorcraft, Interstate, etc. work well. If you can get an AGM-type battery, that would be an even better option. Battery voltage should be 12.6V when EVERYTHING is turned off, and 14-14.5V with the engine at 2,500 rpm, just to give you a reference point. Check battery CCAs with a digital load tester like the Solar BA5. And with the 2011-14 (maybe the 15+ also IDK), you need to reset the Battery Management System to let it know you have installed a new battery, otherwise the "smart charging" feature will not charge the battery properly, thinking the old, dying battery is still in place.
  3. How many miles on your Edge? Without O/D engaged, it is normal for engine RPMs to be much higher.
  4. First check the cabin filter make sure it's clean. Otherwise replace it. Then check the blower fan to make sure nothing's fallen inside. If it's "all clear", then either the blower or the blower resistor/speed control are at fault. They are separate parts, the resistor being cheaper OEM than the blower. 2013 Edge Blower Motor and Speed Control.pdf
  5. Probably body colored, that's what I am seeing listed on FordParts.com. So your Edge would need Ruby Red Metallic. http://www.automotivetouchup.com/touch-up-paint/ford/2013/edge For black, check for Tuxedo Black Metallic Chip Color Code(s) Color Description J1 Kodiak Brown Metallic J4 Deep Impact Blue Metallic JY Ginger Ale Metallic M7226A, UX Ingot Silver Metallic RR Ruby Red Metallic TK Mineral Gray Metallic UG White Platinum Pearl UH Tuxedo Black Metallic WS White Suede
  6. I would definitely pursue the matter with another dealer, and/or contact @FordService on Twitter directly for assistance. Warranty work does not pay nearly as well, so some dealerships won't "fight for you". If you want to stick with the same dealer, escalate the issue up the dealership chain, i.e., service manager, general manager, owner; be persistent. Of course, being adversarial or abusive won't really help, so being "cool" is important too. Document your efforts to get the problem resolved as well, including if you get this issue take are of on your own dime down the line.
  7. Love that pic of the "golden" rotors Did you measure thickness of the rotors at various points around the circumference? Have had one or two reports of there being variation. Really looks well put together!
  8. Great news! BTW, more often than not, you will get shrugged off over the phone. In person (who has time for this nowadays) it can be a very different story.
  9. Love me my DryFlow's :D engima, you need to get one of AEM's filter minder thingamajiggies. macbwt can hook you up
  10. Don't know which d***a*** you talked to, but obviously they are BS'ing you. Every Edge built so far has been built at the Oakville, ON plant, period, full stop. Just to show Ford's continuing plans: http://www.freep.com/story/money/cars/ford/2015/02/25/ford-edge-production-oakville-adding-jobs/24023011/ "Ford has invested $565 million and today will confirm it is adding another 400 jobs on top of the 1,000 previously announced at its plant in Oakville, Ontario to make the new 2015 Ford Edge." 2015 Ford Edge starts production; adds more plant jobs.pdf
  11. Don't worry too much about it, that's what the warranty is for. Work with the dealership on turnaround time and the availability of a rental if needed as such.
  12. I thought you already had the PTU situation in-hand? What other issues beside the BB are you having?
  13. Yeah you pretty much have to buy gift cards to get real $ off on oil at Advance Auto, then buy in store.
  14. When did you buy your Edge, sounds like brand new? What trans service is recommended before 150,000 miles? And def, plugs/coils/ecu the whole situation stinks. When did you look at/change plugs? Ford brakes have usually been middling, except MAYBE on "specialty" lines. And did you shop dealers for service? A remanned trans with a great warranty from Ford is not nearly as expensive as you suggest. Dealers will always book MSRP, but that can be negotiated. Hope you are happy with your Optima, I rarely pass a broken down Ford in my area. Maybe Mercedes, BMW, Mini, Toyota, Honda, Kia, Hyundai sure I guess they send the best Fords to our area to spike the statistics, and/or we do take care of our vehicles up here? Very mysterious. Not buying into the lifetime BS is a necessity for sure tho.
  15. escalate within dealership as needed, then on to Ford. At least get into a better rental.
  16. Welcome to the forum, this is a great place to learn and share! Whether you find the answer on here or not, post up about the issue(s), as this adds to the knowledgebase and helps even more folks in the future.
  17. Do you have the windows cracked open while driving? That helps blow out the hot air trapped inside, and cool down the inside faster. Let the law of dilution work for you.

  19. True, but it is addressing how & when power is delivered, it does not expand the capacity of the 6F50. There is a little bit of play from stock tuning available for sure. A true upgrade would be to figure out how to mate it to the 6F55 or another transmission, and then make the TCM work with the PCM.
  20. Perhaps a good excuse to get that 80% tint on the windshield and front windows
