The TStat rating is for when the TStat starts opening. The rest is up to the PCM programming to determine. Typically fans will come on at 210F or so in stock programming. A 15-20F rise from the opening temp is normal. That means the passive cooling is working well.

PB Blaster has worked wonderfully for me, WD40 might as well. Ya, I don't know why the bolt is not flush, but it IS the correct bolt. Possibly crossthreaded, so go easy on it.

Must be the type of testing done. Just like you can't test the battery with an old analog type load tester for today's vehicles, there are in situ tests that need to be done with the alternator in the vehicle. In fact, macbwt had made a video on the Solar BA5 IIRC and one on alternator replacement in which he provides insight on these issues. Look up his YT channel.

Should work fine. That will give the detergents in the fluid some time to dissolve any varnish/gunk in the trans. 2007 = Mercon V for both transmission & power steering. If not buying Motorcraft Mercon V, make sure the fluid you DO buy is compatible with Mercon V specifically. Mercon LV is NOT compatible with Mercon V, officially.

Welcome to the community, greenmint. Stop and go driving does take a toll on mpg, but you can try running fuel injector cleaner (Techron & BG 44K recommend) through a couple of tankfuls of gas to help break up any clogs in the fuel system and let the fuel injectors and pump work properly. Change the air filter also (Motorcraft brand recommended). Use the right weight oil, and the right filter. Since you have AWD, you have the 3.5L engine, right? Use Motorcraft brand oil & filter if unsure what to pick from. Then after the FI cleaner has run through the gas tank, start keeping tabs on mileage, see if there's improvement.

So no air is blowing out the vents? Any difference putting the controls on HEAT? The blower motor is a common culprit, as is the blower motor resistor/fan speed control. Do you change the cabin filter regularly (or wash the screen regularly)? If the blower is having trouble, it may be caused by obstructed airflow.

Welcome, Brett! Do you know if the new caliper came with the noise dampener? If not, installing that may take care of the squeak. Otherwise look at the shims, make sure they are properly installed/lubricated. There is also the possibility of a defective pad, much less likely in this case tho since the brake performance is good. -

Sorry, hard to keep up with pending questions I too did see the intake manifold gaskets from a 2011 yesterday, and they are indeed different like you stated. -
You mean the "smart charging", akirby? Yeah, the 2011+ have it FBOW. IIRC, it uses a battery current sensor to do it's work. Recently posted about that in another battery thread ... http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/20612-low-battery-message/

No flush. 3x drain & fill if initial drain shows the fluid looks good and does not contain clutch debris etc. White towel, coffee filter, blotting paper can be used to check visually. Once the D&F method proves out, you can hand off to the next owner with the reassurance that the trans is not mucked up.

It might take a few drive cycles to reset the warning light, so give it a few days. As long as the Edge is operationally correct, should be OK. There's a thread on here about that "delay".
