  1. Do you see water dripping out onto the driveway after you come to a stop, having used your A/C? If not, then there is either a clog or the evaporator is freezing over from some other restriction (like a cabin air filter/screen). If it's bad enough, it will eventually throw water into the interior of the vehicle, and/or generate sloshing sounds. Potential for blower motor destruction in the process. Do both fans run when you run MAX A/C on max airflow? Has the system been checked for charge and leaks? Have you cleaned out the condenser that sits in front of the radiator (also contains the trans cooler)? Yes, there IS a control module, it is called the EMTC instead of the EATC.
  2. As demonstrated by FordTechMakuloco:
  3. Good to hear (no,not about the Fanta), and, fingers crossed Did you go with a Ford/Motorcraft replacement, or a TYC brand, or ...?
  4. Cost with new OEM parts would probably be way over what it would have cost to purchase new with option. Maybe you can find something in the junkyards to fit. Otherwise you will have to find an aftermarket solution (the pre 2015s may not work), or devise your own. Try contacting Stabilus, they make Powerise units for a lot of manufacturers, may have a solution for you. Also try these guys: http://www.strattecpoweraccess.com/powerliftgate.html
  5. She said "a few days after I got it", so ... Anyway, I'd also check the fuse (#18 in the underhood fuse box, cartridge type, a bit expensive), maybe just outright replace it while you are at it. I have found fuses do degrade over time when used heavily. The power points would be a prime example. There is also a relay in the same fuse box #34 for the blower motor, hope that's not the issue.
  6. No experience towing I am sure if the Edge comes with a tow package, that it could haul the boat. The engine is not much of a worry. But if it has the 6F35 transmission, you should do frequent fluid changes on it for sure. Don't take that 150,000 mile change interval (or whatever that is now) seriously. Because there is no Ford warranty that goes to that mileage (125K is the max I believe). I am surprised though you say it felt "gutless" at low rpm. Perhaps the test vehicle had a hose that popped off (a very simple fix), because it will then drive like a naturally aspirated 2.0, which WOULD be gutless in an Edge. Torque comes on pretty low in the Ecoboost engines. Of course a tune would bring it alive, but I think the test vehicle had an issue. I would try another one. Raise the issue with the dealer, give them your frank opinion and make them check it over.
  7. Maybe they can XRay or otherwise image the glass while still in-door to determine if there is an issue? Still under warranty, CinnamonEdge?
  8. Benny at LevittownFordSuperCenter can definitely answer your questions, Azeriford. Post your needs/questions in this thread: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/10937-employee-pricing-on-all-parts-accessories/page-11
  9. Continental CrossContact LX Bridgestone Ecopia / Dueler Yokohama Parada Spec-X (if sporty inclination) would be my top 3 choices. Look up reviews on tirerack.com, even if you don't buy from them.
  10. On the '15s, only the Sport had the Electric Spice color scheme.
  11. There WILL be hard shifts as the PCM relearns any tune. If it doesn't smooth out after a few drive cycles or a couple of hundred miles, if you can wait, then have the tune revised for softer shifts.
  12. Probably popped off at the intercooler, since it was not visible to you. Anyway, anxious to hear how sprightly the Edge is now!
  13. Don't have a DEFINITE answer to the opening temp, but the FSM does say this: And the manual specs NOT as 180-200F So I'd say around 180F.
  14. All you have to do is detune, take off any upgraded MAP sensors and take it in to the dealer and let them fix the loose hose. That's their job. This is hardly a major event, though disconcerting. No reason to lose confidence. May not have happened without the tune, even. Who knows? Not to worry
  15. Definitely messing with you because they see the aftermarket components. Which dealership are you working with? The one where you bought your Edge?
  16. A hose popping off is a common event on the EB engines. This is true for "secured" hoses as well as "unsecured" ones. Once you find the culprit, if it does not have a clamp on it, make sure it is clamped down.
  17. Def don't turn down free parts, cmillz, LOL. I am just glad not to have been caught in that neverneverland so many unfortunate comrades had been over the past 2 years! How about posting some pics of this trailer, akirby? What are your plans for it?
  18. How long has it been since you loaded the tune? Has the PCM relearned the strategy? If so, you can have shift pressures dropped just a tad for the conditions you describe to help with this situation.
  19. I think he meant total on all 4 corners, LOL!
