  1. Does your Edge have an Ecoboost engine or the 3.5L engine, Amine?
  2. Do you have a digital load tester similar to the Solar BA5/BA7, or do you have an analog style tester?
  3. Maybe a simple muffler delete is all you need? Kinda like they did with the SHO here. And/Or an AR25 Resonator ...
  4. Ok, here you go: http://www.revbase.com/BBBMotor/TSb/DownloadPdf?id=182770 It suggests a recalibration will fix the error.
  5. I have seen TSBs for other Ford model lines where the IPC had to be either reprogrammed or replaced. Sorry, that's the only thing that comes to mind other than checking the wires for water intrusion, corrosion, etc...
  6. How old is the battery in the Edge? If over 3 years and it's the standard lead acid battery, just replace it. Electronic gremlins ulimately come down to the battery in most cases. Exceptions include if you have shifter-related messages (SHIFT TO PARK), an errant CD player, or a DOOR AJAR error, among others.
  7. Good to know! My guess is there are tables that still need to be added to the SCT tuners to make the tuning competitive.
  8. "Insufficient data to extrapolate." Hopefully not, but until the cause is known ...
  9. Good info! For those interested, attached is a copy of what the code & pinpoint tests are about. enigma-2 P0480 KN1, KN8, KN9 AC Warm at Idle.pdf
  10. Even the SHO did not get a drain plug until 2013MY, and then only on the Perf Pkg. I am guessing because the Taurus PI was released in 2013 (yes, with the drain plug), they included it on the Perf Pkg SHO also.
  11. I am a little confused here. You do have a 3.5 with the 6F50 trans right? There should be a dipstick for checking fluid level. And yes, it must be checked with engine running, and trans at operating temperature (around 180F). This is why it is important to measure how much you drain out so you fill pretty much the same amount in, assuming original level before D/F was correct. If you really wanted to change out the fluid, you could set up a continuous drain/fill so new fluid is drawn in while the old fluid is drawn out, and work through the gears while that happens, always ending in PARK. Do have to be careful to not let the new fluid bucket go dry, and use a deep pan for the old fluid. The 6F35 does have a fluid level check plug/hole.
  12. Nicely done! Now get a meth kit and into the 12's you go LOL.
  13. At least dealers are aware of the situation and have a solution on hand. About the only complaint mechanically with the 3.5 so far, so, fingers crossed ...
  14. Good luck, and thanks for posting the part #.
  15. Well, hope you get a good price when you sell it, and have good luck with your next ride!
  16. mac's video should be helpful to you No draining of coolant required.
  17. I can understand the frustration. However they at least recognize and have a fix for it, if it is the 3.5L engine you are referring to.
  18. If you have an Ecoboost engine (2.0 or 2.7) use 5W30, otherwise use 5W20. The oil filler cap rumps whatever the manual says, so when in doubt ... But, there's always the possibility of incorrect cap from factory, I think very very very small tho.
  19. Been a while Hacker, how ya doin'?
