  1. You should be able to get codes read for free at a local auto store. Or you can buy an ODB II adapter and Forscan Lite and scan the vehicle yourself on your smartphone/tablet. The heater hoses are on the firewall side of the engine, they are on a separate "circuit" from the engine cooling circuit. Heater Core — Plugged Check to see that the engine coolant is at the correct level.Start the engine and turn on the heater. When the engine coolant reaches operating temperature, check the heater core inlet and outlet hoses to see if they are hot.If the outlet only is not hot: the heater core may have an air pocket. the heater core may be plugged. If the inlet only is not hot: the thermostat may not be working correctly.
  2. So you were using the builtin 91 tune, and the device failed? Though not common, hardware does fail from time to time. Sometimes it's simply because the battery in the car is weak. I would have the battery checked with a digital load tester to make sure. What is the warranty on the X4? And yeah, getting on the phone with SCT is usually the best way to get support. The tuners who use their devices to provide custom tunes are much more responsive though.
  3. Do you happen to know the curb weights of your Edge & Sorrento, wizard?
  4. In the USA, synthetic is not necessarily true synthetic (Europe is stricter). "True" synthetic is made from Group IV base stocks. This website (yes it could be biased in favor of Amsoil) shows the different types of oils that qualify as synthetic here: http://www.technilube.com/faqs_info/synth_diff.php An overview of the different Groups of base stocks: http://www.machinerylubrication.com/Read/29113/base-oil-groups
  5. No heat in any position: PANEL, VENT, DEFROST? Blend door actuators come to mind first, along with a bad HVAC Module or FCIM. I am sure it's not the coolant or a plugged heater core, those would be the normal reasons, but then you should get at least ambient temp air coming out. Check to see if the HVAC module has set any codes ... Bxxxx:xx format.
  6. Should be fine, it IS mineral oil based IIRC, but it meets the standard for TC-W3 and should work fine for what we are using it for. The ideal ratio will be somewhere between 4oz and 5oz per tankful of fuel. Put it in with every fillup. It took about 3 tankfuls to see the results on my Edge, it may work faster on yours, IDK.
  7. Now that the 2017 Fusion Sport has been released, perhaps there will be an uptick in aftermarket interest. EDIT: CP-E in Beltsville, MD might also make one for the Edge Sport, again, someone would have to lend their vehicle for R&D ...
  8. You are correct, there is a software upgrade/calibration required with a replacement transmission or replacement solenoid body. As per the manual: I might be tempted to use a 2010 6F50, but I would stick with a 2011-14 6F50 for the replacement also to minimize behavioral anomalies. They switched to Mercon LV in 2010, and may have changed the programming accordingly.
  9. Wish I had measured it when I had it out the first time ... Possible you could figure it out from the choices here? http://www.fordpartsgiant.com/parts-list/2008-ford-edge/intake-manifold.html
  10. Well, at least they will help figure out the source of the problem, even if they snap in 3 months or so LOL! J/K, looking forward to updates!
  11. I hope they find the cause, explain it to you, and fix it ASAP!
  12. Definitely good reasons to own a truck, zillafreak! EDIT: My only reasons would be so I could install a lift kit and 40" tires on it LOL
  13. Should treat that dog a little better LOL
  14. should be same for 2007-2014 3.5's for sure (I think the 3.7's also). Not 100% on the 2015+ 3.5's 2007-10 http://www.fordpartsgiant.com/parts-list/2007-ford-edge/transmission-modules-and-sensors.html?Filter=(30393;36997) 2011-14 http://www.fordpartsgiant.com/parts-list/2011-ford-edge/transmission-modules-and-sensors.html?Filter=(30393;36997)
  15. Welcome to the Edge forum, and thanks for the shot of the pink elephant/holy grail/flying pig ... Congrats on the new ride, now take it off the grass LOL! Is this to be the new DD?
  16. Path of least resistance for the dealer, LOL. Good luck!
  17. How many PIDs can you read at a time, omar, and what is the sampling rate in ms, any idea?
  18. Nature's wrath ... LOL! Yeah, the heated PCV valve on the 2007 makes it extra special for those wondering WHY the intake manifold won't come off.
  19. Might have a MAP sensor instead. What year F150? For the 2016, FordParts.com shows 1 MAP sensor and 2 air intake sensors (?) http://www.fordparts.com/Commerce/PartDetail.aspx?n=qsknzw546myZ1lolSdsbZw%3d%3d&id=389755722&m=2&search=true&year=2016&make=Ford&model=F-150
  20. AT4Z-9E926-B THROTTLE BODY EDGE; 3.5L, 3.7L $97.50 $56.06
  21. Do you have warranty coverage? Since there is no recall for the throttle body, this would like be an outofpocket expense for you at this time. I would get a new throttle body and selfinstall, since it is pretty easy. Just document whatever expenses you incur for the replacement. I am guessing there is no code in the PCM because it will reset with a successful restart, but worth a check anyway. If you have a "friendly" dealer, you should call and ask for advice on what to do, and the obvious safety risk you feel with the unresolved issue. You could also call Ford National Customer Service to register the situation, and look to them for solutions. Maybe they will be willing to help, maybe not. But you will have established a record of the event having happened. Also register it on nhtsa.org if you want.
  22. Nope, I do not see a problem with the TPS. I believe the delay to be related to the AC being in operation at the time, as determined by the PCM. I don't see anything in the TSBs either that could explain another reason for the delay, you can check yourself here: http://www.revbase.com/BBBMotor/Tsb/Results?Year=2010&Make=54&Model=5858 to check other years, simply substitute the YEAR value in the above URL.
  23. Any dealership should have both sensors. Also look to Autozone, they have Duralast branded sensors. NAPA should also carry both. TSS should be 8A8Z-7M101-A or very possibly AA5Z-7M101-A, Motorcraft DY1241 OSS should be AA5Z-7H103-B or Motorcraft DY1221
  24. The throttle response looks much better without the A/C running. Did it feel the same way to you? If so, I am not sure what can be changed for when you the A/C IS running, except maybe a tune for the PCM. At WOT, AC cuts out completely, so you don't see the throttle response delay. That is part of stock/OEM programming, probably for fuel economy/emissions reasons. Not really seeing what else could be the issue here ...
