  1. Will be interested to see what results people have with this catch can on the Edge.
  2. Maybe the dealer has an updated calibration that will correct the issue?
  3. I found the halogen lights to not project very far as well. HIDs are much better in that respect, so people often switch to HID for low beam, leaving the high beam as halogen (when they are separate units). Not sure if there are compatible halogen units for your EDGE but Philips X-tremeVision and Osram NightBreakersUnlimited are two "high" output halogen bulbs I like. Maybe the H9 retrofit will work for you, not sure.
  4. Some people have found success filling those "empty bottles" with steel wool to allow for condensation surface.
  5. Welcome to the forum and Edge ownership, WWEdge!!! Please do post some pics of your ride The cool thing about the ebony interior is it totally disappears at night on dark roads, so you feel like you are floating in space, LOL!
  6. ^ X2. Wheel speed sensors and tone rings are usually the culprit parts on the Edge. I'd have those carefully inspected at a reputable independent shop. I take it no brake work was done recently?
  7. Very unusual to have this type of issue. I would say an engine replacement will likely happen if the issue is not resolved. Did they verify the turbo oil feed lines? Thats where most of the problems tend to originate.
  8. Yes the headlamps are adjustable vertically. The owners manual should have a a howto section on that, should be pretty simple. Online Manual http://www.fordservicecontent.com/Ford_Content/vdirsnet/OwnerManual/Home/Index?bookcode=O31263&marketCode=US&languageCode=EN&VIN=&div=f Adjusting headlamps http://www.fordservicecontent.com/Ford_Content/vdirsnet/OwnerManual/Home/Content?bookCode=O31263&languageCode=en&marketCode=US&viewTech=IE&chapterTitleSelected=G1676250&subTitleSelected=G1676297&topicHRef=G1725559&div=f&vFilteringEnabled=True ADJUSTING THE HEADLAMPS Image 1 Vertical Aim Adjustment The headlamps on your vehicle are properly aimed at the assembly plant. If your vehicle has been involved in a crash, have the aim of the headlamp beam checked by an authorized dealer. Headlamp Aiming Target A 8 feet (2.4 meters). B Center height of lamp to ground. C 25 feet (7.6 meters). D Horizontal reference line. Vertical Aim Adjustment Procedure Park the vehicle directly in front of a wall or screen on a level surface, approximately 25 feet (7.6 meters) away. Measure the height of the headlamp bulb center from the ground and mark an 8 foot (2.4 meter) horizontal reference line on the vertical wall or screen at this height. Note: To see a clearer light pattern for adjusting, you may want to block the light from one headlamp while adjusting the other. Turn on the low beam headlamps to illuminate the wall or screen and open the hood. Image 2 On the wall or screen you will observe a flat zone of high intensity light located at the top of the right hand portion of the beam pattern. If the top edge of the high intensity light zone is not at the horizontal reference line, the headlamp will need to be adjusted. Image 3 Locate the vertical adjuster on each headlamp. Using a Phillips #2 screwdriver, turn the adjuster either clockwise or counterclockwise in order to adjust the vertical aim of the headlamp. The horizontal edge of the brighter light should touch the horizontal reference line. Close the hood and turn off the lamps
  9. Welcome Edgey96, and congrats! No pictures makes for a sad day . Which engine did you get, the 2.0 or the 3.5? The 3.5 can suffer from a faulty throttle body. Not up on issues with the 2.0 yet. Hopefully you won't experience water leaks, rattles, or grabbing breaks like a lot of the 2015s. 2016 seems much better thus far.
  10. This thread is related to the 2015MY Edge, didn't know 2013 had an issue.
  11. Sounding more like the pushbutton part. Seen something similar on the 2013 Fusion Date Reported MAY 30, 2013 NHTSA Reference #10053343 TSB Reference #TSB-13-5-32 Description: LINCOLN/FORD: THERE IS A PUSH BUTTON START ON SOME VEHICLES, THAT WOULD HAVE A NO CRANK/NO START WITH NO KEY DETECTED MESSAGE IN DISPLAY AND BOTH REMOTE CONTROL RKE FUNCTIONS ARE INOPERATIVE. MODELS 2013 FUSION, MKZ. *PE
  12. Other than the obvious parts in your setup, there is the possibility the BCM is "injured".
  13. If you do replace the battery, go with the larger size, group 65 I think? A lot more CCAs to be had, and probably an improved lifespan as well. And the Battery Management System will need to be reset so the battery is learned by the PCM and charged fully.
  14. How many miles on your Edge? What period of time is "a bit"? And how long does it take to "release"? Trying to figure out between PCM relearn, engine and trans behavior what might be going on.
  15. Do you have remote start by any chance? Wondering if the pushbutton ignition is a factor.
  16. You can see the location of the starter if you go about changing the TStat. Yup, it's buried under the thermostat housing. Is the battery original to the car? Looks like the alternator is working fine. But just because the V is correct, doesn't mean the CCAs will hold up. Need to check CCA's with a Solar BA7 or similar digital tester to prove out the battery and charging system.
  17. Just noticed a chip in the paint at the leading edge of the hood. If I had not run my hand along the edge to check, would never have noticed it. Time to prime/paint ...
  18. Well done, looks great and natural! Must be nice to say the beach can wait, LOL!
  19. No not a warranty thing, it's a characteristic of the brakes. No harm in having the dealer take a look anyway. Brakes are usually 1 year/12K IIRC.
  20. If they are indeed grabbing and thus "pulsing", and not simply biting hard initially, then there could be an issue with the pad/rotor/caliper. The 2015+ have been known for the intial hard bite, but no other issues noted thus far ...
  21. Yup, one BDA on driver side, one on passenger side. Also check cabin air filter, coolant level and A/C refrigerant level (yes it does weird things with airflow). Could be the HVAC module also, but less likely. 2013 Edge Temperature Blend Door Actuators.pdf
  22. Wonder of properly functioning pcm
