The only set I would get is from http://drivebright.com/home/shop/ford-edge-led-tail-light-set-standard/ http://drivebright.com/home/shop/ford-edge-led-tail-light-set-lh-rh-complete-replacement-tail-light-assembly/ They are on sale right now. Look for other products you might want from them as well.

A group 65 battery from Motorcraft Tough Max series, or if you can swing it an AGM type group 65 battery from Odyssey. AGM battery lifespan is typically 7 years or more. If it gets cold enough in your area, also use a good full synthetic motor oil with 0W20 viscosity rating. Full synthetic 5W20 recommended year round. This is for the 3.5/3.7 engines. For the 2.0 Ecoboost, 0W30 or 5W30 is appropriate. Mobil1, Pennzoil Platinum, Quaker State Ultimate Durability etc. Amsoil is more expensive and not sold in stores, but that is my preferred goto.

Inspect all the plugs and coils carefully. If not replacing the #1 coil, move the 123 coils to 456 and the 456 coils to 123. It is suspected that extra heat trapped in Bank 1 degrades those coils faster. So even if they are working fine now, you could prolong overall service life with this swap. One thread with useful info on spark plug replacement (might be a bit different for the 2011-14 3.5s on exact details): http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/8724-sparkplug-replacement-job-info-with-photos/ The misfire can also be caused by a dirty injector, so run some Techron Concentrate Plus or BG 44K cleaner through the tank first. Winter fuel isn't the best to begin with and using fuel from non-top tier gas or not-so-busy gas stations can result in water & contaminants in the fuel. Definitely, cylinder 1 is a weak spot, but it is also at the end of the fuel rail, where such contaminants tend to accumulate.

Cabin filter. Mildew on evaporator. Clogged evaporator drain vent. These are the most common reasons for such smells. So take out the cabin filter. Run Lysol through the system with heat on high for 30 minutes. Check again. Disconnect the evaporator drain line at the joint behind the carpet at the driver side footwell. Blow some compressed air through it. Once confirmed clear, reconnect the joint. Put in a new cabin filter and retest.

Temps must've dropped a LOT in between. Good reminder to check tire pressures with season, at least.

My AC is haunted :: HELP!
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to snowtrooper's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
This looks like it is headed towards a faulty HVAc module, IMHO. I would definitely try a) having the car battery checked, and pulling the fuse for a little while before reinstalling.- 7 replies

My AC is haunted :: HELP!
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to snowtrooper's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
First thought would the HVAC module (climate control module), or possibly the fuse/wiring. Have you ever changed the cabin filter? If it's clogged, that may be a simple fix.- 7 replies

Battery and/or starter would be my primary guesses. Even though you have push button start, the pathway may be similar to a keyed ignition switch, so wherever electrical contacts exist, those would be suspect.

Decided on the Edge, undecided on options
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to 1004ron's topic in Welcome Forum!
The F150 2.7 EB is likely not the same as the Edge 2.7 EB engine, if the 3.5 EB variant is any indication. It will be stouter, with bigger turbos to boot. -
Randall, you may need to cross some maintenance items off your list to help with better mileage, including spark plugs and electrically heated PCV valve, along with a cleaning of the MAF sensor and throttle body. A tankful or two of Techron concentrate plus wouldn't hurt either.

Decided on the Edge, undecided on options
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to 1004ron's topic in Welcome Forum!
Welcome to the forum, 1004ron! Glad to see you in Ford's favor for your next vehicle For the longterm, I would still go with the 3.5 as a known quantity, especially if you plan to tow with it. Not that DI engines are bad, but turbo DI complicates the issue just a bit more, and IMHO, make an extended warranty necessary, though can decide on that till towards the end of the B2B warranty. The turbo DI engines do offer more grunt at the lower end if that is important to you. FWD or AWD is up to you, but given your situation, FWD should be fine, and will avoid any headaches associated with PTU/transfer case/differentials. Get a bit more gas mileage out of it as well. AWD is primarily a performance thing and definitely can help in bad weather, but in snow & ice, winter tires still rule. May not want to deal with the headaches of a panoramic roof, but if you do purchase, make sure you service the tracks regularly (clean & lubricate). Also consider purchasing the power liftgate option if you or another driver have a physical disability/frequently have arms full trying to open it. Good luck, keep us updated. -
It IS possible to see those numbers if you have a) just filled up the tank and b] drive downslope from the gas station with little to no input on the gas pedal. I had occasion to do this once a couple of years back, and the dash showed 28+ mpg and climbing (driver + pass in vehicle). As to accuracy, I would not believe it, because the level of fuel reported changes depending on whether the vehicle is on level ground or not. Also, the dash mileage may meet hand calculated mileage, or it may be 1 mpg off. You will have to check for yourself, bottom line.

Hooray for cost saving measures! Legos seem to have a better fit these days.

Since a CEL came on, the system has detected a major malfunction. Read or get the code(s) read. Could be a fuel pump issue. Did you have the fuel tank replaced?

2013 edge sel awd PTU fluid change
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to mschluns's topic in Recalls, TSBs & Warranty
Welcome mschluns, sorry to hear about the PTU issue. How many miles on your Edge? You are out of warranty? Good time to R&R the PTU fluid, and establish a regular fluid change schedule. Check the old fluid first, there should not be anything other than fine metallic shavings from normal wear & tear in there. A lab test would be more definitive. There is no drain plug, so you would drain & fill from the same hole. A couple of people have also added the extended PTU vent, which is a kit available for the Taurus. The vent extends into the engine compartment, giving the fluid more room to expand, but also protecting the PTU from high water situations. -
Has happened to me on occasion, when the forum didn't seem to be responding

2011-14 Edge (Gen 1.5) have wheels with a center bore of 63.4, 2007-2010 are 70.6. People have fitted late model Explorer Sport and Taurus SHO wheels on their Gen 1.5 vehicles.
