  1. Welcome, Daniel, and congrats on the new ride! How does the maintenance history look, especially if it is AWD? The first round of everything should have been done already, and in some cases, the second round.
  2. Not that frequent, but it does happen. If you have good glass insurance, you are set though. More often the issues are with the maintenance of the Vista roofs, that they need periodic lubrication and cleanup, and sometimes the "feet" need to be replaced.
  3. Welcome back from the MIA zone Did you ever get an LED light bar put on?
  4. Congrats on the new ride, put up some pics! I find it very mysterious there being no mention of FWD vs AWD, so I am guessing you went with FWD, judging by tank size
  5. IEDs for everyone! It's the yin and the yang, what can save you can also kill you LOL.
  6. This was taken under 87 gas, right? Was engine warmed up at the time? I would like to see similar graphing, along with engine temperature, for 93 gas. Also set all O2 sensor readings to V, not mA, for uniformity. It seems like Bank 1 has issues being a little rich at idle, which I would attribute to possibly a mildly leaky injector (s) or spark plug gaps getting too large. 93 may be helping with those issues. How many km on your Edge? Might be ripe for a plug/PCV valve job. The smell is strongest at the driverside wheel well, you said, is why I am not suspecting PTU, especially without visible leaks. No harm in fluid exchange however. Check the PTU-driveshaft seal carefully, as there can be a leak from that area also sometimes.
  7. The EVAP purge valve, got it Will look at the graphs when posted.
  8. 17". Checking on Tirerack.com is usually the easiest way to confirm. http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/results.jsp?autoMake=Ford&autoModel=Edge+SEL&autoYear=2013&autoModClar=FWD&package=false
  9. Just to confirm, this is the purge valve underneath the Edge, next to the canister itself? Good find, hope it is the longterm fix!
  10. Somewhat early to have this issue! You can try unplugging and reseating the solenoid connectors. Then disconnect the battery for 30 minutes/clear the code. See if the code comes back. If it does, then at the very least both solenoids are likely to be needing replacement. What type of oil/filter do you run in the Edge, and what are the change intervals?
  11. Well, that's a humdinger. Maybe your dealer can figure it out together directly with Ford Customer Service. Just like they did when one member was having problems with a backup camera that required a software update directly from Ford.
  12. Based on your evaluation of the rotor condition, I'd say money grab. Much more important to service the calipers, make sure the brake fluid looks good, etc.
  13. I assume you have Torque Pro, so you have datalogging capabilities. But if you want to screenshot, this is the bare minimum to look at: SPEED RPM O2 sensor Bank 1 Sensor 1 O2 sensor Bank 1 Sensor 2 O2 sensor Bank 2 Sensor 1 O2 sensor Bank 2 Sensor 2 Long Term Fuel Trim Bank 1 Long Term Fuel Trim Bank 2 Short Term Fuel Trim Bank 1 Short Term Fuel Trim Bank 2 one at idle after startup, one at idle after engine is warmed up (190F/88C + degrees), and one at speed/cruising after engine warmed up. This should tell us, in general, if there is a fuel/ignition issue we need to look at. We are getting more users reporting in with "bad fuel" issues, so that may also be in play. I would normally suggest using Forscan Lite, as it is a better/more powerful tool than Torque Pro, but with a less friendly user interface. Hopefully won't need it.
  14. macbwt had replaced the driver's door glass on his 2011 earlier this year ...
  15. Did you purchase from a Ford dealership? Do you have a Lincoln dealership nearby? That's one diagnostic option. I would agree with raw fuel in the cats being a possible problem here. You may need to replace all injectors along with spark plugs to fix this. Hopefully the coils are OK.
  16. Well in that case bore sdapters should work fine.
  17. Isn't yours a 2015+? You can use adapters for the bore, but the lug pattern is also different. So IDK
  18. Should be in the MENU for the head unit. Menu Structure Note: Depending on your system, some options may appear slightly different. Press MENU. Press the up and down arrow buttons to scroll through the options. Press the right arrow to enter a menu. Press the left arrow to exit a menu. Press OK to confirm a selection. Audio Settings Speed Compensated Volume Automatically adjusts the volume to compensate for speed and wind noise. You can set the system between 0 and +7.
  19. I'd do the stripes on the Edge, if I could get the GT hood on there :D
  20. I don't see a working demo with fog lights, are they projectors or just blanks?
  21. Many people like driving around with minimal light intrusion in the cabin, whether for privacy or to keep kids asleep etc. Used in police cars on a regular basis as well.
