I need to replace both weatherstrips, but have not found separate replacements. Unfortunately all 1 piece. So I will have to "make my own" to keep things tight.

What have you done to/with your Edge/MKX today?

Dealers Recommends Full Synthetic
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to davidceder's topic in 2015+ Edge & MKX Generation II
Just remember to use the appropriate OC interval for your driving style, Normal or Severe Service. The so called Intelligent Monitor is decidely not so intelligent. Months or Miles whichever comes first. With Ecoboost engines, it never hurts to step up to a quality full synthetic oil, but again, the main thing is OC interval. Do not skimp. -
Jurassic Park John Hammond: Don't worry, I'm not making the same mistakes again. Dr. Ian Malcolm: No, you're making all new ones.

Battery disconnect/relearn. Battery age/status, possible need for replacement. Then check individual items on the list.

Aftermarket headers and downpipes
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to T-Fade's topic in Appearance - Detailing, Wash & Wax
None available for the Edge. For ANY year. Sorry. There is just too little demand for performance mods for this vehicle -
Welcome & congrats, barneyrubble, am seeing the Redheads emerge this winter, which is GREAT to see Your Edge has the 3.7L engine, the biggest update is going to tune it. As far as physical mods go, a different throttle body is available (not cheap), that would require a tune to be most effective. A catback exhaust can be installed, as well as dropin air filter or a CAI. No downpipes available yet. Super Six Motorsports may have ported intake manifolds if you want to go a little deeper.

Ford might issue a TSB who knows LOL. They did for Taurus door sills before! TSB 11-11-20 for reference.

Welcome to the community, Bruce, and congrats on the find!

Welcome CincyKyle, and congrats to your GF on her new Edge. Hope she escaped injury from the accident! Really nice pic, and great start to the mods. A black emblem can look pretty cool

What year Eddge, Kathleen? Manual or electronic climate control? Does the blower work ok? Is the coolant level FULL when engine is off and cold? Does the engine run at normal temperature or does it overheat? Do the engine fans run at all?

What year is your Edge, Kathleen, and how many miles on it? With patience, spark plug and PCV valve change is a very DIY job.

Pull codes first to see what the computer thinks. But there is a good likelihood that the TSS/OSS sensors are at fault.

A Ford Protect plan is invaluable for nused EB owners.

How many miles on your Edge, Jonathan? AWD/FWD? Did you install a new belt also? I looked over the procedure, and it is a LOT of steps ...

Auto adapt Cruise control burning smell
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to jimt1122's topic in Transaxle (FWD)
Check codes, the smell could be from something else entirely, like a failing spark plug COP/coil. -
Now is a good time And if the fluid looks free of anything but fine metal shavings, a regular 3/36 routine is likely best. This is still an evolving area ... If you decide to install a drain, you can actually perform a proper flush on the PTU.

Do I really need new rotors at 60k?
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to normcloutier's topic in Brakes, Chassis & Suspension
May the new pads work well with the refreshed rotors!
