  1. Generally, LME says the tunes are "set in stone" and do not need adjustments. But if you feel the need, sure, talk to them and they will accommodate you. No datalogging necessary.
  2. Servicing your vehicle is ideally under the Special Operating Conditions once it is tuned. No more "lifetime".
  3. What were the tire pressures, stock @ 35 psi? Maybe drop them to just above TPMS warning limits?
  4. Well I think since at least 2010 MY, there is no more fuel pump access door, so you were not completely unjustified in thinking you had to drop the tank
  5. Yup http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/22381-anyone-know-the-alternator-charging-specs/?do=findComment&comment=168755
  6. Changing settings/programming updates requires an extended license for Forscan, which currently is available for the Windows OS only. So either a mobile device running Windows or a laptop should work. I think the license lasts 2 months.
  7. Probably sticking caliper. Often the issue. Might have to end up replacing both sides, so keep an eye out.
  8. Usually it is a matter of reinitializing the BAMR and/or lubing it. Sometimes you actually need to replace the rail guides (also known as "feet"). macbwt and fit1446 can tell you all about it. Video from macbwt:
  9. Thank you, Happy Easter to you & yours!

    Zmax

Zmax is suitable for older engines using newer oils. I don't believe the Edge/MKX need anything like that.
  11. Ideally it should not be above second hole, but rather within the hashmarks. If you can drain out a little oil, that would be the best thing to do.
  12. Possibly a blend door actuator. Any hiccups with climate control?
  13. Well, Beez, I suppose you are tracking fuel trims, along with cat temps? How do the LTFTs and STFTs look? I would think if the fuel trims look a bit wacky, there is a possibility of a leaky fuel injector, a known issue with GTDI engines. Are you seeing elevated temps on both banks?
  14. Coz they are glowing red hot and he likes it?
  15. I would same as any cat mfr'd in recent years? I have heard 850-900C bandied about. http://www.aa1car.com/library/converter.htm
  16. Halogen or HID? Amazon is usually a good source. Philips brand is my preference.
  17. Great voltage with engine off. Low end of voltage at 2500 rpm, should not be > than 14.5V. More importantly, have you checked the CCAs? Does your Edge sit for any significantly long periods of time? Phones nowadays can be pulling 2A or more from the battery. And of course the radio will drain a good amount of power as well. The "battery minder" feature may be nothing more than a timer, so I would not depend on that to save the battery. Also, any time a battery drains to the point you have to jumpstart, you need to let the PCM relearn the battery in 2011+ Edge vehicles. Easiest way? Let the vehicle sit undisturbed after a full charge for 8 hours. General Specifications Item Specification Generator — 3.5L Generator pulley ratio 2.66:1 Rating 70 amps @ 600 rpm (min) to 155 amps @ 2,500 rpm (max) Voltage regulator type Electronic internal with generator Generator — 3.7L Generator pulley ratio 2.66:1 Rating 89 amps @ 600 rpm (min) to 178 amps @ 2,500 rpm (max) Voltage regulator type Electronic internal with generator If the battery is deeply discharged, it should be charged with an intelligent pulse charger at no more than a 10A rate. Might take a few hours to complete. Will ramp up to 90% pretty quickly then really start slowing from there. Check the current draw on the battery 40 minutes after you turn the engine and all accessories off. Should be 0.05A or less on a totally stock vehicle. If you don't have a group 65 battery installed, I would suggest getting one. Gel Cell or AGM preferably. They can withstand deep discharge much better than regular SLA batteries.
  18. Neat! Have you already mapped details in another post? If not, please consider doing so!
