  1. Repaint, I think, maybe even replace the bumper, but I am no expert.
  2. Should be very similar specs for the 2013. I will post the 2013 later today. Doesn't seem like shocks based on age/miles, unless you drive on terrible roads. I hope the dealer has the latest alignment machines, I believe they use lasers nowadays. Not absolutely necessary.
  3. Certainly sounds like an alignment issue, doubtful it is a tire issue. Inner Edge/Shoulder Wear Inner edge (or shoulder) wear occurs on the inside edge of the tire and is usually caused by excessive toe out and/or excessive negative camber. If the tread depth of the outer shoulder is at least 50% greater than the tread depth of the inner shoulder, the tire is experiencing inner edge/shoulder wear. To determine whether tires have this type of wear, visually inspect the tires. In some instances, it may be necessary to measure the tread depth of each rib and compare it to that of the shoulder. 2009 Edge Alignment Specifications Item LH RH Total/Split Front Camber -0.1° ± -0.75° -0.6° ± -0.75° 0.5° ± 0.75° a Caster 4.3° ± 0.75° 4.5° ± 0.75° 0° ± 0.75° b Toe — — 0.10° ± 0.20° Rear Camber -0.45° ± 0.75° -0.45° ± 0.75° 0° ± 0.75° Thrust angle — — 0° ± 0.50° Toe +0.05° ± -0.20° +0.05° ± -0.20° 0.10° ± 0.20° a Camber Total/Split = LH Camber — RH Camber b Caster Total/Split = LH Caster — RH Caster Do you have the alignment sheet from the ford dealer, so we can see the before & after?
  4. Good luck w the KR, do some couch exercises during that couch time. At least 1 potato chip every 10 seconds. LOL.
  5. Is there a sensor on the clean side PCV line? Maybe it's seeing some action it's not supposed to? Worth a check and clean.
  6. Interesting life that chicken led! Carroll Shelby would be proud
  7. Think maybe Forscan can unlock that capability, omar? Hope someone with the full license can take a peek.
  8. People don't really rebuild modern mass production engines these days. Easier just to replace the short/longblock or entire engine. Parts cost will kill you piecemeal if new. Tolerances are tight, so you have to have access to the appropriate equipment. As an enthusiast and hobbyist, sure it is possible. But for your daily driver, not really practical to rebuild. At most, I would suggest buying a used block, then replacing the VCT solenoids, belts (maybe tensioner and alternator depending on mileage) timing set, and water pump, and regular maintenance (plugs, pcv valve, maybe intake gasket) before putting it back in the engine bay.

  10. For reference on this recall http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/22165-airbag-issue-for-2016-2017s/?do=findComment&comment=168041
  11. Yup, quite a few folks on here using it, with the extended license also, and liking it. Pretty nifty tool for the price.
  12. How many miles on your Sport, cdubick? The issue may be in the birthing stages, so it may not SEEM like an axle issue, but it could be. Ticking is normal on these engines (fuel injection). Clicking is usually due to an axle or a suspension (strut mount/strut) type issue. Do you hear it in reverse or while turning? With the windows rolled down? Have you checked the trans fluid level lately?
  13. Some parts will vary depending on trim level, wheel size specifically, as the suspension is tuned accordingly. You can see the front suspension bits here https://parts.levittownfordparts.com/auto-parts/2010/ford/edge/sel-trim/3-5l-v6-gas-engine/front-suspension-cat and the rear suspension bits here https://parts.levittownfordparts.com/auto-parts/2010/ford/edge/sel-trim/3-5l-v6-gas-engine/rear-suspension-cat OR you can make it simple on yourself and ask BENNY at Levittown, in this thread (just need to PM him the VIN): http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/10937-employee-pricing-on-all-parts-accessories/
  14. These types of additives are generally bandaids. They may prolong the life of the system somewhat, but in the end the part replacement is almost always needed. Gives you time to plan, but you do need to plan.
  15. Other issues related to winter driving & rust: paint (particularly hood), and fuel tank. Detroit Axle offerings for the Edge: http://stores.ebay.com/Detroit-Axle/Axles-/_i.html?_nkw=ford+edge+axle
  16. Look for Scosche or Metra kits/steering wheel controls adapters.
  17. alternator, belts & booster definitely. rest you could probably do on your own, with skills you have already demonstrated here on the forum Repairpal estimates for shops to do the alternator range from 590 to 879 for your MY Edge so the dealership is a bit on the high end, but that is to be expected. Belts only the cost of the belts themselves should be tacked on, as removal/installation has to happen anyway. And remember they are likely not discounting the parts either. You may be able to haggle them down to the online price save some $$$ there.
  18. Welcome to the community, Bob, congrats on your ride-to-be! Some wise choices there with the BAMR and wheels. Will save you some headaches down the road Keep us updated on the progress of the order, hope you get it soon as possible!
  19. Just go over to macbwt's house and make him do it. I hear he doles out free labor, even if it takes 4 hours or 4 days! J/K, LOL! This thread by candurin is a great start to the project: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/17035-adding-oem-remote-start-kits-parts-explained-detailed-2011/
  20. Backflips, handstands, and somersaults, I see! Gonna hurt tomorrow, LOL. Enjoy your va-cay!
  21. It's something the vehicle uses to learn to handle its' drivers.
