  1. I think you are still ok if you post the album link, just not individual image links? Otherwise flickr, imgur, etc.?
  2. I got my optima for $150 . But yeah if a toughmax 850 cca group 65 fits, get that. If they install for free then even better, I think the warranty is 7 years in that case. Possibly they were referring to the battery constantly getting undercharged or overcharged, thus killing it slowly?
  3. Is the engine cover missing? The high pressure fuel pump cover?
  4. so the dry meat jar is now the wild forest honey jar.
  5. I would def keep an eye on the coolant level, and coolant/oil condition. Sounds like there is a leak SOMEwhere. Usually the water pump if not the headgasket. Might want to press the issue with the dealer since your warranty is not for much longer. If they do a pressure test, make sure they pressure test for more than the usual 10-15 seconds. Let the tester stay in place 10-15 minutes. Sometimes it takes a while for the leak to show up.
  6. Got it all buttoned up Hope that oil leak was an aberration. Keep us updated on how your Edge feels with the new parts in place!
  7. macbwt's edges are FWD, not AWD. But yeah, we do not know the real stats.
  8. Thanks for the update, glad you got it fixed before a serious incident happened!
  9. Not good. Generally Moog parts for suspension/steering work well.
  10. Posting this thread just for reference: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/13756-08-blower-fan-not-working-wclimate-control/
  11. Is it a clicking type sound? Usually that means there is a seating problem. Assuming the springs are correctly installed, the seat/bearings might need some lubrication to quiet it down. If it is more of a creaking noise, the H&R boot might be longer than OEM. Lube the boot and the bump stop, in and out for both, and lube the actual strut where the bottom of the boot sits. Also, lube the strut since it is possible it was catching on the strut. A couple of solutions that have worked. Assuming correct installation.
  12. Definitely not a "fluctuation" IMO ...
  13. How many miles on your Edge. The 2.0 is a notoriously "dirty" engine. Needs frequent oil changes to keep up. Also, Ecoboosts have problems with carboning on the back of intake valves as they do not get washed with fuel unlike port fuel injected engines. May be time to change spark plugs as well, forced induction engines can eat plugs faster than naturally aspirated ones. Most LTFTs I have seen on EBs are in low single digits when running correctly, often very near zero. These are tightly controlled engines. Try the Techron Concentrate Plus suggestion. Unfortunately, deposits on GDI fuel injectors are VERY hard to remove with normal cleaners such as this, but other parts of the fuel system as well as the combustion chamber can definitely benefit.
  14. Possible lemon. Have had other Edges reported with electrical gremlins. Do you have a lemon law in Canada?
  15. Congrats! Where are the pics of this clean beauty?
  16. Sorry to hear! Hopefully the warranty DOES cover! Got a link to the Allstate warranty website?
  17. If you are trying to post from the mobile site, you will have to tell the browser to go into the full desktop site version to see the MORE REPLY OPTIONS that actually allows you to add attachments.
  18. Definitely, send me the pics of the carnage etc. Great tips on the PTU.
  19. Nice Gauge response time should be pretty good with only 5 allowed. Does it allow you to record the data, i.e. datalog? Transmission temperature available? Also is there an IAT2 gauge, which will tell you the temperature of the air entering the intake manifold?
