  1. That works too! I tend not to use it because it is a bit "navigationally challenged" LOL. BTW, your Edge looks simply perfect!
  2. Maybe they could use a demo from you. Sometimes the owner has to be present with the tech in order to truly define the issue at hand.
  3. There is apparently a TSB for this, if it comes on in idle with A/C on or while shifting gears. Requires a PCM recalibration to fix. http://www.revbase.com/BBBMotor/TSb/DownloadPdf?id=179343
  4. you could modify the IMG tag when you edit your saved post to include height and width information. Don't know of an easier way than that. https://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_img.asp
  5. Can be done on vehicle as long as you tape everything off carefully and use newspaper to protect the paint, etc. If you want to remove them, there are a couple of videos on YT showing how. For example
  6. Most likely that is the solution. I say most likely because a] the springs rarely if ever give way (shocks go first), and b] you will know what's what once you get into it. Depending on mileage, it may be time to replace the shocks anyway if you replace these parts. Also check the nuts to ensure they are torqued down correctly. Might be as simple as that. I have heard of these things occasionally coming a bit loose.
  7. Not that I am aware of. As long as you don't expect protracted conversations from Torrie One caveat tho: your vehicle's strategy code must be in the SCT database for it to be tuneable. People run up against that from time to time. A direct conversation with SCT via phone is generally how it gets added the quickest, but the wait can be weeks. I will have to see if Forscan Lite pulls up the strategy code, but usually it takes a tuning device to do so. Ask Torrie about this directly. EDIT: Forscan Lite DOES pull up the PCM strategy code, so you can have that in-hand before you email Torrie.
  8. Looking for these? https://parts.levittownfordparts.com/auto-parts/2015/ford/edge/sport-trim/2-7l-v6-gas-engine/body-cat/luggage-carrier-scat
  9. Best after claying for greatest chance of adhesion. You can choose to seal the protector afterwards, check the product's recommendations for that.
  10. A $600 investment ( or less) in a fullblown tuner is a muuuuch better way to go.
  11. Possibly the upper/lower seats and the stoppers need to be checked. Shock absorbers in rear. https://parts.levittownfordparts.com/auto-parts/2013/ford/edge/sport-trim/3-7l-v6-gas-engine/rear-suspension-cat/shocks-and-components-scat
  12. This is what I meant by subframe alignment http://www.revbase.com/BBBMotor/TSb/DownloadPdf?id=169323
  13. First time around, I had to watch for a) the bracket bolt hidden underneath the firewall insulation, the electrical connector from the PCV valve to the underside of the intake manifold, and c) the clamp on the brake booster vac hose to the manifold. The rest was straightforward. Having a 6-10 inch extension for your ratchet will help get the plugs out faster. I used one of those wobble extensions that has the spark plug socket built into it, but you don't have to. Also I hope the boots on the coils release properly. You may want to take your time swiveling those coils, not exerting too much pressure at one time, till they pop off the plug. Have a set of pick tools or needlenose pliers handy, you can get the LONG ones from Harbor Freight; in case a boot gets stuck on. Mirror MAY help, a strong light always does.
  14. Well ... could try replacing the control arms, or the subframe alignment trick with the gen 1.5 ... Are the tires directional by any chance? Maybe installed inside out or something? Road force balanced, right? Could also be the EPAS module.
  15. The steel wool will definitely help provide condensation surface area. OTOH, definitely would be great to have a CLEAN pcv system Checked the intercooler?
  16. Sometimes aftermarket fans will have modules with reversed connections. Might've fried the replacement module, try putting the OEM module on the new assembly and see.
  17. Do you have adblocker running? Is Flash turned off? I have seen IE have issues with both things on different sites. Plus it is a memory hog.
  18. I think the IOLM was not intelligent in 2011MY Edge, but became so in 2012MY onwards. A good substitute is engine hours (the Trip 2 meter), but IIRC, idling from a remote start is not counted in there.
  19. The MAP sensor(s) definitely have a better chance of being coated with the EB's PCV system.
  20. If it is superficial, it may be iron dust from transport and will come off with a clay bar.
  21. Good to hear, hope to see pics of the new steed soon!
  22. Might sound offthewall (no pun intended), but you can try adding 1 oz of Marvel Mystery Oil per 5 gallons of fuel to the gas tank. That and Amsoil Signature oil are the 2 items I know from a reliable source work to quiet down these Ecoboost engines.
