Pull the fuse for a few minutes, maybe it will reset itself after you reinsert the fuse. That is the idea.

Have you run Techron Concentrate Plus through a couple of tanks of fuel? Or BG 44K in a single tank? I would do that closer to oil change time, even though it is said not needed. Don't want that c*** in the oil for long. Your mpg is very reasonable for the conditions stated. It gets better at highway speeds the longer you drive, and your mpg shows that. City/stopngo driving, cold weather startups, etc. KILL mpg.

This is an aftermarket brand, somewhat misleading with their name. Usually I look to the section about item specifics that provides the info I want For example Item specifics Condition: New Brand: no.1-oem UPC: Does not apply Manufacturer Part Number: BT4T-19G490-AF Warranty: Yes Quantity: 1 pcs Re: 08-23 Other Part Number: BT4T19G490AF;BT4Z-19G490-B;BT4Z19G490B;BT4Z-19G490-A;BT4Z19G490A Might be just me. but the machining of Ford parts plastic is a lot better than shown in the accompanying pics for this item.

That listing does not come up. Is it an aftermarket camera or OEM?

Not a typical gen 1 issue, but could be the throttle body. Is the battery tested good? Any recent exposure to heavy rains or high pressure water? Check the connectors at the PCM to see if they are clean and dry.

13N02 - Extended Warranty Coverage on Brake Booster
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to omar302's topic in Recalls, TSBs & Warranty
If Ford won't cover it, file a complaint with NHTSA anyway. Why? Because the part should last more than 3 years, dang it! You expect a quality repair and did not get one. -
Good info Let us know how it works out. This mod is for the Ford Edge Sport, btw.

What have you done to/with your Edge/MKX today?

A good decision -
I would assume so. The major differences between the 6f50 and 6f55 have proven to be in the gears, clutches and programming, i say this with the confidence of a brash young whippersnapper LOL.

Not sure what the broken part looks like but a long needle nose pliers or hemostat such as available from Harbor Freight might work.

Replaced Rear Vision Camera - 2012 Edge Sport

should not need calibration to get the basic functionality to work. what camera did you buy, new or used, ...? -
I thought you were only interested in info re: the HIDs, my bad Adaptive: Principles of Operation The Headlamp Control Module (HCM) receives information from the communication network such as vehicle speed, steering wheel angle and headlamp on/off status. Based on the information received, the HCM determines if the headlamps need to be angled left or right as well as the degree of angle. The HCM does not operate the adaptive headlamps feature until the vehicle speed is above 5 km/h (3 mph). When the ignition transitions to RUN, the HCM runs an initialization check to determine the straight-ahead position of the headlamps. The lamps track left to right, then back to center to signify that the system is operating correctly. If the HCM does not receive the required information over the communication network or determines there is a fault with the circuitry to the sensors or control motors, it defaults the headlamps to the straight-ahead position and sets a DTC(s). 2014 MKX Adaptive Headlighting.pdf

2015 Titanium windshield
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to 2011edgese's topic in 2015+ Edge & MKX Generation II
Gotta choose your battles. At least this one strictly in $ for parts, did not end so badly. But it cost you your time & insurance coverage money, & patience. Just make sure the new windshield has all the features that the OEM was supposed to come with. Not just acoustic, but rain sensing if you have that on your Sport, for example. -

Battery life during medium term storage?
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to TurboToad's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
A battery cutoff switch/kill switch is the surest way to make sure that the battery stays charged. OR disconnect the neg terminal entirely. Of course, either way means a PCM relearn of your driving style. A battery tender is the best way to maintain charge. Which ones did you have the bad experience with? -
Summary of how the lighting works (from 2014 FSM) Pinpoint Test D: The High Beam(s) Are Always On Refer to Wiring Diagrams Cell 85 , Headlamps/Autolamps for schematic and connector information. Normal OperationThe Steering Column Control Module (SCCM) monitors input from the multifunction switch. When the multifunction switch is placed in the FLASH-TO-PASS position (first detent when pulled towards the operator) or the headlamp switch is in the HEADLAMPS ON position and the multifunction switch is placed in the HIGH BEAM position (second detent), the SCCM sends a message over the High Speed Controller Area Network (HS-CAN) to the Body Control Module (BCM), indicating a flash-to-pass or high beam request. The BCM then provides voltage to the high beam shutters within the headlamp assemblies. The shutters are held in their normal (low beam) position by springs. The multifunction switch returns to a rest position when released. The switch positions for the flash-to-pass and high beam features are momentary contact. DTC B1007:09 (High-Beam Headlamp Switch: Component Failure) — a DTC that sets when the SCCM detects a fault from the multifunction switch input. DTC B1D02:15 (Left High Beam Circuit: Circuit Short To Battery or Open) — a DTC that sets when the BCM detects a short to voltage from the LH high beam output circuit. DTC B1D03:15 (Right High Beam Circuit: Circuit Short To Battery or Open) — a DTC that sets when the BCM detects a short to voltage from the RH high beam output circuit. This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following: Wiring, terminals or connectors Multifunction switch SCCM BCM

Short of going HID, you can try bulbs like Philips CrystalVision Ultra that have more of a white-blueish tint to them. Still bright, but not the brightest. The brightest in their series is the XtremeVision. PIAA may or may not work for you, it is more on the expensive sight, but they always have been https://www.amazon.com/19615-Xtreme-White-Performance-Halogen/dp/B00067BW6S/

Maybe a power balAnce or a cylinder compression test is needed. But the main point is that a professional would need to scope the car to find the issue. How does it feel overall, would you describe it as perfect but for this issue?
