  1. Welcome to the community, slides, and congrats on the new ride!
  2. Saw one at the Washington International Auto Show. Looks very nice!
  3. THere is a TSB for the range sensor that should show the diags needed.
  4. I think they introduced that in 2011 on the Edge/MKX.
  5. Looks like the Edge Sport has enough power from the factory, LOL.
  6. For every module in the vehicle, there is a configuration file that contains as-built data. That is how the software knows the options in the vehicle. People have been able to alter appropriate values in specific parameters, for instance, when putting Sync 3 into a vehicle originally equipped with Sync 2.
  7. Plugs and PCV valve serviced already? Due at this mileage. As far as the solenoid body assembly, each solenoid A-D (E is a bit different) is checked thusly, noting that codes when available dictate which actual tests to perform: CHECK THE SSX CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN Ignition OFF. Disconnect: Transmission Vehicle Harness C168 . Disconnect: PCM C175T . Inspect the connectors for damaged or pushed out terminals, corrosion, loose wires and missing or damaged seals. Measure the resistance between the appropriate pin on the trans connector (+ve lead) and the PCM connector (-ve lead). Should be < 5 ohms else repair circuit. CHECK THE SSX FOR AN OPEN Measure the component side resistance between the appropriate pin (+ve lead) and ground (-ve lead). Resistance should be between 4.0 and 7.2 ohms else replace PCM. Possibly replace SBA otherwise. (For solenoid E, Resistance should be between 20 and 34 ohms)CHECK THE SSX CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND Ignition OFF. Disconnect: Transmission Vehicle Harness C168 . Disconnect: PCM C175T . Inspect the connectors for damaged or pushed out terminals, corrosion, loose wires and missing or damaged seals. Measure the resistance between the appropriate pin on the trans connector (+ve) and ground (-ve). Resistance should be > 10,000 ohms else repair circuit. CHECK THE SSX FOR A SHORT TO GROUND Measure the component side resistance between the appropriate pin (+ve) and ground (-ve). Resistance should be < 5 ohms, else replace PCM. Possibly replace SBA otherwise. CHECK THE SSX CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE Ignition OFF. Disconnect: Transmission Vehicle Harness C168 . Disconnect: PCM C175T . Inspect the connectors for damaged or pushed out terminals, corrosion, loose wires and missing or damaged seals. Ignition ON. Measure the voltage between the appropriate pin on the trans connector (+ve) and ground (-ve). If any voltage is present, repair the circuit. Else, replace the PCM. (for solenoid E, repair the circuit if voltage present, otherwise check for short to ground)
  8. Nice A rash of fastener related issues lately ...
  9. This thread is strictly for parts questions, as in which parts fit my car, what is the cost, etc etc. THAT Benny can help with! http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/10937-employee-pricing-on-all-parts-accessories/ As to your question, please find attached the document for 12M02 so unfortunately, it does not look like your Edge has APIM warranty coverage anymore. If you use owner.ford.com, you can check outstanding actions/warranty extensions for yourself. https://owner.ford.com/tools/account/maintenance/recalls.html CSP 12M02-S1 APIM Warranty Extension.pdf
  10. Since the Edge is so new, I second the dealer visit. If out of warranty, I would have suggested to disconnect the neg batt cable for 40+ min and reconnect and see if that helped.
  11. BAMR I can understand, it's a giant piece of glass. But rear window? What the heck is Ford doing with them that would cause this failure? Was it a Ford design or supplier QC at fault?
  12. Costco periodically has it on sale for that price, otherwise WalMart is the next best bet. Also keep an eye out for rebate offers from Mobil1. https://mobiloil.com/en/promotion/mobil-promotions
  13. Since the open/close operations do not involve holding to close, I would say either the motor has an issue, or more likely, the tracks need to be cleaned and greased. To get familiar with the maintenance basics, you can watch the videos here
  14. Light pinging is normal, as the programming is set to run the engine as lean as possible. Should really only happen under heavy load if at all. Have you tried running Techron Concentrate Plus through the fuel tank? Do you use Top Tier fuel?
