any good ideas on how to scuff up the chrome covering?

okay thanks. I'm trying to determine what I want to do here....I don't mind spending the money but I want it to be on the right thing....most of the paint damage is little nicks and scratches on the doors and bumpers that you have to look close to see. My main issue is how dirty the car looks whenever it rains or just after a week of driving....

thanks for the advice, I think the 07-10 are a little bit difference, there's just not a lot of room to maneuver down there....I'm debating whether to just tape if off to paint them...

No not yet...They do come on after warming up but its the same one every time and I'm not sure if they need replaced or something needs changed or added...I'll contact them and ask though. Thanks

Mine are starting to do it more frequently now, like everyday. The left headlight takes forever to heat up while the right one comes right on and sometimes the fog lights need to heat up to...any way to fix this? My HIDs are a plug n play system with 55w headlights and 35w fogs. Thanks

Yeah the mpg kinda sucks around the city....Edge is pretty heavy and by no means a great vehicle for mpg...try to drive conservatively when you possible. Also, don't pay attention to the mpg that the info screen gives you, mine says I get 20.2 mpg while Fuelly.com says I get 19 mpg which seems more accurate based on how often I have to fill up.

I have an 08 and bought it used. Never had a problem with anything audio....But if the sub is being difficult I would just have someone replace it...not too expensive and will perform better

yeah the code is located in the fuse box on the driver's side....take the cover off and its a big 5 digit number right in front of you. Then follow the directions in the manual or look it up online to see. I finally found mine after having my 08 for 2 years and I'm so much happier just knowing the code haha the reset took about 2 minutes. Good luck!

How do you take these things off?? I want to paint them soon but would rather take them off to paint and then put them back on....unless its guna be too much of a hassle. Thanks!

Bought some from Auto Zone for $5 total for the 2....got them installed in under 2 minutes and they work great. I really just needed the help at night when I couldn't see out the back seat windows. Easy and cheap project

I'm looking at this for an option to getting a black grille.....I'm looking for some comments from people who have gone this route in any color, how happy are you with the choice and how costly was it for you? (insert and painted) Thanks!

I'm not sure....I have UV tint on my windows right now and that seems to work pretty well....the shop that I go to uses 3M products so its quality

Okay cause I have 5% on the rest of my windows so I was going to go with that but I'll probably just go with one shade lighter than that just in case

When I test drove the edge, the car had those little mirrors in the bottom outside corner of the side mirrors so you could see further down the car or further into the other lanes...Anyone have these or have any idea where I can get them? Would really help me driving at night. Thanks!
