  1. anyone know if home depot usually carries the plasti-dip glossifier in stores? I know they show it on the website but am hoping I won't have to order it...Thanks!
  2. I know that's just a lot harder install....
  3. Okay thanks guys. I have taken off that guard before to put HIDs in the fogs but couldn't see well enough to see how the bezels come off. I'm either going to paint these or maybe just plasti-dip them as I'm going to do my wheels and maybe my grille too. Hopefully within the next two weeks...will post how it goes
  4. So no response from the website yet but I have fixed the problem for now. When I start my car I leave the lights off, wait about 30 seconds and then turn the lights on and they come on without a problem. Probably just need time to heat up....this may not solve everyone's problems but its worth a shot
  5. What size wheels are on your edge?
  6. Okay thanks sounds good. I have been watching some videos on YouTube of the dipyourcar channel and they help a lot
  7. No that's fine. I usually don't do this stuff, my friend usually works on my car when we have spare time. But now college is going on again and we never have time. But thanks for the advice
  8. So I noticed this noise when turning dating back to last fall actually. A lady backed into my front passenger side wheel in a parking lot and didn't seem to do any damage. Later while driving I noticed a loud clunk sound when turning, both ways! It usually happens when I have to make sharp or quick turns where the wheel is turned fairly far. I thought maybe the problem would go away but it hasn't. It hasn't gotten any worse but hasn't gotten better either. When I had it up at a Ford dealer for some other work, they said they couldn't replicate the problem....I drove it home and it happened at least a couple times. The problem helper on NTB.com said it could be any of these things: 1) Loose/worn tie rod ends 2) Worn or dry ball joints 3) Axle assembly failure... I have no knowledge or experience with this area so can anyone help or has anyone had this problem? I would greatly appreciate it. I need new tires before winter so I'll ask them to check it out but I don't want to get ripped off either.....Thanks!
  9. First off, Go Steelers!!!!!!!! Second, the newer models of the edge look masculine in my opinion, the 07-10 models are debatable (unfortunately I have one). My mom got me an 08 when I was 16 years old and I was happy to have a car but I too saw all the women and old people driving them. But as soon as I started to do small little things to make my edge look a little bit different, that all changed. I end up liking my edge more and more every day even though I wish I had a newer model of it. The new models are definitely more masculine but can be driven by either sex, who cares! The 07-10 models is 50/50 on how it looks but looks more masculine once you make it stand out. The edge is definitely a unique vehicle and I think that's why we all love it
  10. That's really good. Probably due to the speed b/c at that speed the rpm are very low, once you get to the higher 60s and into the 70s the rpm just keep rising which is why the gas mileage gets worse. Despite all of that though, 29mpg in an AWD is amazing
  11. okay another question....I know black plasti-dip gives you somewhat of a flat black look but plasti-dip does sell a glossifier too. If I use that, will I still have a problem peeling it off eventually or will it still be the same easy process?
  12. Okay thanks! yeah it would be easier to just do it with them on....I'll take your advice and post how it goes. It will probably be in another week or two just because I'm so damn busy :angry2: But thanks for the help guys, really helped a lot and made it seem easier
  13. I'm just going with black...I can get that at HD or Lowe's? and how many cans are needed to do 4 wheels? I'm guessing I will need multiple coats
  14. So I recently had a wheel deal go bad so I'm probably going to plasti-dip my stock wheels until spring rolls around to get some new 20's or 22's. My friend has used plasti-dip before and I'm familiar with the product but I have two questions.....on wheels, do you use any adhesion promoter first or just clean and apply plasti-dip directly? And where is the best/cheapest place either locally or online to buy this product? Thanks!

did you use any adhesion promoter or anything or just apply the plasti-dip directly?
  16. Looks like he did the back just not the front driver and passenger...some states don't even allow any extra tint on those at all....
  17. Looks good! Good job and have fun with the rest of your work
  18. okay so can you PM the total amount you spent on the springs, install and strut tower bar? That would help a lot so I know what I'm getting myself into
  19. I would like to know this as well...looking to do this myself and yours seems to match pretty well

I think his profile said Philly. I can't wait to move down south so I don't need to spend more on awd and gas
  21. So was it like $550 total or does the $325 include the springs as well? What does the front strut tower bar do?
  22. damn....I think I can take it off that way too but the only problem is the amount of maneuvering space down there...I'd rather not have to take my bumper off to do this small task
