  1. The tank on my front wheel drive Edge is 18.5 gallons. The fuel gage and the miles to empty warning think that the tank is about 12 gallons. The dealer checked the car and said that since the float in the tank moves and the gage moves,it is not a warrateable item. If it was just a wildly innacurate gage it would be easy to work with. Its the constant miles to empty warning that you need to keep clicking "OK" to (even though thereare 5-6 gallons in the tank)that is irritating. The miles to empty feature is set on normal, not towing. Other than the faulty fuel gage, the car is great! Bill in louisville
  2. The miles to empty warning usually comes on at about 40 miles to empty. I have driven to "8 miles to empty" but the tank would only take about 13 gallons which was consistant with the "gallons used" figure.
  3. I purchased a new 2012 Ford Edge in early April. The fuel gage is really innacurate. It warns you that you are almost out of fuel even though the tank still has 6 gallons in it. I do not expect a fuel gage to be precise, just close. The gallons used feature matches up with the amount of gas you can put in the tank but the gage and warning system are only about 65% correct. Does anyone else have this problem?
