Welcome! This is a great community with lots of friendly and willing help, plus great conversation. I would have opted for the BAMR (Big Ass Moon Roof), but I'm glad ya like your Edge. Any plans to mod it, even slightly?

What have you done to/with your Edge/MKX today?

Color and output of your HIDs look great! I love Dan's LEDs, they're fantastic. -
That's not very encouraging! I can wait until summer though. The chrome looks all right so long as I have chrome headlight housings.

About to do this. Wish me luck. *Update: Guess I'm not strong enough to push far enough in on the bumper, and a screwdriver isn't popping it off, so this will be postponed until I can find my plastic panel removal tool...or the spring, when it's warm enough to do them with them on the car.

It's another PD product, so it would essentially have the same effect as eight coats of black. I had seen a comparison on Youtube of the Glossfier versus year-long spray on bra (don't remember the name) that I also have. lol I had noticed when I peeled off the 6 coat layer I had on previously that parts were thinner (and didn't peel off as easy), I assume from constant debri and air pressure, so I made sure to make this one thicker. -

Don't know if anyone recalls my brushed aluminum looking PD I put on the grille (Pearlized black). Stripped that, and re-dipped the grille. 10 coats. 5 black, 5 gloss. Then decided to use glossifier on the first 1.5 feet of the hood. Probably eight coats (I just finished the gloss can). -

Discolored Plastic Molding

The dish soap took care of the removal, so it looks blacker, now. I could just do a couple coats of PD if I really wanted to make it that same. -
List of Mods wanted for 2008 SEL

Tints, HIDs, and WeatherTechs! First things I did, excluding a subwoofer. I'm going to do the DTBL Taillight conversion with LEDs Dan offers, and Definitely want to do blue and white in the dash, instead of the green.- 2 replies

Sounds like you have an awful case of bad luck. I haven't needed anything replaced on my '08 at 82k, knock on wood.

^^Agreed. I'd love to see more of a Taurus hood and slope on the front end with the lights and grille taken from the fusion. -

Okay, I believe you. Guess it's not big of an issue then, except maybe if I want to race my car. lol -

...that's annoying. Will it not cause my batteries with my amps and HIDs to drain faster? Don't get me wrong, I understand its purpose. It was explained in a piece of legislation that failed mandating/encouraging people shut off their cars if kept idling for more than 3 minutes. So if my car is parked in a parking space and I turn it on and leave it running remotely for 10 minutes, will it shut itself off? -

Someone want to explain AutoStart/Stop? Would this create another obstacle into installing aftermarket remote start systems? -
I'm ready to get a set, Dan. ...just wish it would have happened before Black Friday. LOL Now, I'll have to have an excuse to get them. So excited!!!!

WeatherTechs. They may be expensive, but they're made in the US and the BEST mats. My mom actually fell in love with the ones I had in her car and made me give them to her for an early Christmas present, so he new car didn't get ruined in the snow. They work great. I've had paint spilled on it, food, mud, snow, rocks, etc, and it just pops out easy enough that none of it gets on the carpet and I can scrap and spray it all off.
