  1. Congrats on the car and the kid! Weathertech's are a sure bet, stubby antenna, and maybe vinyl the chrome above your grille, but with those wheels I think it fits all right. Uprgading the sound was crucial for me, but I'm a college student. LOL I also only have the first gen, and my stock headlights sucked, so HIDs for me, and it seems like people here favor them for the 2nd gen, too. Enjoy the new ride! It's a beauty!
  2. Not sure if I scared ya, Prinzll, but I took a vaca out in Scottsdale a couple years back and got to experience those highways on the way up to Page, Sedona, and back. I'll take that recommendation for H-rated rubbers when I get my tires changed out, thanks!
  3. Thanks! I'll tell you I went with 18% because the guy I used didn't have 20%. It's slightly darker on the inside than the back, but looks fine from the outside. I've been thinking of going to 10% around back. HIDs are a must!
  4. A little bump is always fun. Check mine out. Ride looks cleannnn.
  5. Welcome! A sub stage is the first thing I did to my edge, too! Congrats on the baby, too! I second the call for pictures! ..of the ride lol
  6. The plastic creaks... The cover to my gauge cluster creaks whenever I press on it...
  7. I know my gas cap says Ford recommends BP, which I refuse to use for obvious reasons. I've found that Shell burns well in my car, wherever they get their gas from. I always use whatever's cheapest. Figure I can clean the fuel system, but I can't hurt oil companies more than they hurt me.
  8. Welcome, Cornell! I too have an '08 and have found the forum extremely helpful... as well as detrimental to my wallet.
  9. Not sure about the aux input in the center console. My HU works with the steering wheel controls, just required an optional piece I had to purchase separately. Check out Crutchfield.com Their site will tell you if it's combatible with your steering wheel. Lots of units have aux inputs and usb inputs that are in the back of the unit if you have a long enough cord you could run it to your glove box to keep it out of site, or around to the tray in front of the gear shift. USB > Aux
  10. Way to go? LOL I did something similar out of my mechanic's shop with my old car. There's a little guardrail that overhangs the parking lot and I wasn't paying attention... Least she's gettin' her shine back!
  11. Got "The Stubby" in from Craven Speed. Can't comment on the radio reception, yet, but I love that I can't see it when I look through the roof!
  12. My Antenna from Craven Speed. Can't comment on radio reception just yet. When I put my headunit in, I left the antenna disconnected since I never listen to the radio.
  13. I didn't have any fiddling to do, but apparently the company I bought mine from isn't welcomed much here anymore... Mine was entirely drop in and connect to battery. The thing that took me the most time was find places to secure the ballasts.
  14. Hahaha. I do wear my seatbelt. It's for those quick "around-the-block" cruises to drop something off, or to drive from parking to my dorm without ever leaving campus. It's a 1 minutes ride with lots of loud, quick chimes. Thanks for looking out for my safety, though!
  15. No way. I have a 2008 Ink Blue, too! Beautiful color, but I'm not conscerned with the amount of scratches, yet.
  16. How do you make your wheels look so clean?! That can't just be soap and water...
  17. Are your taillights painted, covered or tinted? They look great!
  18. We still have one. $7 for 2 movies through the summer. I'd open up the back and sit with a pillow chair, not look through the windshield. Why would you want lights on during the movie, though?
  19. I already ordered one, but dang I should have shopped around a little more. I paid $24 shipped.
  20. I know from prior forums that it's a process of baking the headlights in an oven to loosen the glue, pulling the back off the lens, and then applying a new layer of glue to reseal it. Youtube might be able to help, I just don't trust myself doing it, and seeing as a new headlight costs $150, I don't care to risk it and would rather have an experienced person do it.
  21. I will definitely be doing the stubby, just a matter of which one. Finally, I can eliminate that damn antenna from ruining my view through the roof. LOL It also gives me an excuse to fix the antenna wire that I never bother to connect when I replaced the HU.
  22. I have noticed the edge being worse than my last car. An open sunroof takes care of the issue for me, but if it's nice enough to have the windows down, all of mine usually are. The sunroof can't be pushed back beyond the auto-open position without the presence of buffeting, no matter what combo of open/closed side windows you have.
