Looks pretty good. I've been really thinking about lowering it, but I'm not sure I want the full drop, I think an inch would be fine with some bigger wheels.

2968 miles, how did the clear bra do?
wannabang replied to OnTheFence's topic in Appearance - Detailing, Wash & Wax
That's good to know! I took a trip from Ohio to Florida and back with no bra and came back with some minor dings. Somehow, my blue hides the dings, and I only was able to notice them when washing the car. I think I'm happy I decided not to get the clear bra, other than the chips in the chrome grille and some bug/road paint marks on the lower part of the bumper. -
About the seats, I just wish my cloth was more comfortable. I think it keeps me in place well, but it forces me to kind of hunch my shoulders forward a little, which I don't like much.
-
That's interesting. I wouldn't be comfortable enough cutting a whole in my roof. It's why I bought the car with the sunroof.
-
I mean... It's currently an 8", so I'm not sure how you'd put a 10" in without modifying it.
-
Yeah, I've seen those, but ain't sure I like the way they look. I think the angled LED strip at the top throws off the natural lines of the car. I'm waiting to decide how I want Whiteis to do mine, or if someone comes out with another product. Good point on that AppRadio. I need to explore my unit a little more and move that mic.

That's a little interesting. I wouldn't think the resistance in the new wires would restrict that much power. I have the Pioneer unit with whatever harness Crutchfield sent me for free.

Sure that's not from a commercial?

Looks fantastic! Thanks for the info on taking the doors off... usually I go at it blind and end up breaking something. Sean and I both have that radio issue with out pioneers. Is your bluetooth mic still receiving your voice well? I ran mine up through the little piece on the side of the dash (driver's side, able to be popped out) and I think there''s a bit too much road noise right there. People complain about not being able to hear me. Sean, where'd you put your mic at?

I really want you to go through with that. I'm too accustomed to seeing 4 or 6 15"s or a couple 18s. Seems like you could keep it relatively compact, as well. Good luck!

Disable all warning chime sounds completely

And here's the procedure for the the locks: 1. Turn car on 2. Press unlock on door 3 times 3. Turn key to 1st position 4. Press unlock 3 times 5. Turn car on again and horn will chirp (now in programming mode) 6. Press unlock and then lock. Horn will chirp once for deactivating auto lock and twice for activating it. 7. Turn car off and horn will chirp (now out of programming mode) -
I'm not sure if that's sarcasm... I wouldn't put it past a lot of the guys on SSA's audio forum. I've been contemplating eights under the floor just to occupy my time. If I end up keeping the stock sub this summer, I think I'll try making the box out of wood. I really need to spend some time EQing, though.

Yeah, there's a couple threads on here I believe about "debadging".

Installing a sub on a 2013 SEL
wannabang replied to ravishingrocket's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
My friend attempted to do the splice thing with his stock sub in his civic, and we found out that there were volume limits in the factory radio, so his subs didn't get too loud... Not sure about the edge. It's definitely the cheaper way, and probably easier with the new generation. -
Dingo, how good does yours sound? I assume better, but I'm skeptical since the box isn't wood, ported, or big... I've contemplated removing the whole stock sub, since I have my own, but without hearing a wooden box back there, which undoubtedly can't be ported due to space, I wouldn't go with anything short of sealed boxes under the floor, but that's just me. I have a 15" in a 4 cu.ft. box ported to 30 hz... obviously we had different goals.

I'd love to disable to auto-door lock, but he's right about the seat belt. Put your key on acc. and when the seat belt red light comes on, click your seat belt. Undo and redo your seat belt 9 times or so while the light is off, and after, when you unclick it, the light should stay off. For some reason, though, mine keeps coming back on. -
Crazy! I have the same problem with my Pioneer. I haven't pulled it out to check my antenna connection, but I have no FM at all. Good thing I never listen to the radio, but it would be nice to fix.

The batteries are worse for the environment, but it's still a Ford... Just scratch the Hybrid and get a Fusion that will, in itself, yield better mpg, unless you find yourself driving harder because it can handle it.

As in: did anyone cut a hole in their roof for one?

I have 18% Johnson's tint on mine. It's a little bit darker than factory tint, and it has more of a green hue than the orange hue that the factory tint seems to have in comparison. I've also been considering 50% on the front windshield. I drive with the sunroof open a lot, so I should still be visible inside.
