  1. Yes, it is possible: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/14729-oem-backup-camera-for-2013-edge-se/ 2013 is identical to 2011. No idea on logistics, though.
  2. Got it back this afternoon around 1:00pm (so, probably took them 4 hours total). Everything listed on my bill was identical to the list in the 13N02 bulletin. All covered under warranty and warranty on replacement parts is still good through 150K miles. Brake performance is identical to that before the diaphragm tear. No issues. Had all the work performed at Chapman Ford in Egg Harbor, NJ
  3. Just dropped off my 2012 SEL AWD (27,600 miles) a few hours ago. Breaking was erratic and scary. Dealer looked at it and came back with a loaner car until Monday. They are replacing the break booster under warranty.
  4. Puddle lamps use 31mm festoon. These will be ridiculously bright in the puddles: http://www.ebay.com/itm/181325596945
  5. I just park next to more expensive/nicer cars. You can grab a visor on eBay and swap it in. Or just grab a home link module and splice it in to the mirror power (all visors have the plastic mold for home link that you can remove with a straight blade). Took me less than 10 minutes to do mine. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/10905-homelink-rear-view-mirror-2012-edge/ http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/12674-adding-homelink-rear-view-mirror-to-2012-ford-edge-sel/
  6. They do look like type 1. You should be fine with no resistors.
  7. Yes, I (and many others) have 50w/6ohm resistors wired into the turn signals. Without them, type 2 switchbacks won't work (type 1s can, but not always, will work without them). The ones the OP linked to will likely need them.
  8. The size of the bulbs are identical, there are some slight differences in performance and electrical requirements: 3157: volt: 12.8 / 14 amp: 2.1 / 0.59 watt: 26.9 / 8.26 i.lumens: 402 / 37.7 cp: 32 / 3 3457: volt: 12.8 / 14 amp: 2.23 / 0.59 watt: 28.5 / 8.26 i.lumens: 503 / 37.7 cp: 40 / 3 All the stats apply to incandescent/halogen bulbs only. It is all negated by the use of LEDs which use the same spec bulb (again 3157 & 3457 are identical size and therefore the same led bulb is used for both).
  9. PJ, I have had zero intermittent white blinking with these bulbs. Seemed to have solved that issue with tees new bulbs.
  10. And finally, night time pics. The one with the beam pattern on the garage door looks like to different color temps, I can assure you that they are identical (I am a crappy photographer and the iphone doesn't do it any justice).
  11. And having said that I just ordered the 1400lm ones you linked to (had a bunch of left over ebay bucks). I think I now have a container of 30-40 various led bulbs until I can decide which ones to keep.
  12. Perf is correct. You can use a "T10" or "W5W" bulb in place of the 921/168/194 etc.. In fact you can use the same bulbs in the map lights as you would in the license plates as you can the reverse bulbs. The only difference is wattage and lumens for each application. Putting the 921 bulbs in the map lights or license plate lights would certainly melt the plastic lenses (maybe not, but I wouldn't put the ones Perf linked to anywhere but in the reverse bulb housing), but the reverse sockets have more distance from and much thicker lenses in order to dissipate the heat. Hence, the different designation in bulbs, despite the common base size. All these bulbs are referred to as "wedge base" bulbs or "miniature wedge" bulbs and share the same socket type and bulb base size (W2.1x9.5d).
  13. There's a setting in the menu to remember what gauge screen you prefer to keep your display set to (I think it's memory mode or something like that). That will prevent the display screen from reverting back to default (screen "1").
  14. Here's some mid-afternoon shots. I just haven't had a chance nor down time to get back out at night to snap some dark photos (wife and two kids, 'nuff said )
  15. It designates what "page" you are on for the gauge display options (kind of like the bottom of a phone screen). If you scroll left or right you will see the lighted square change.
  16. I'll grab some shots for you today... How bright are those reverse bulbs (we can swap photos)? I can't imagine they are really 1400 lumens
  17. Why are you PM'ing people trying to sell this? Last thing I want to be is solicited. If I had interest, I would have inquired.
  18. Just FYI. Decided upon these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/171377998910 Just installed them and they work really well! They're even brighter than the VLEDs that I replaced. My only concern is the projection out of the front and getting flashed, but, I think the plastic "EDGE" part of the headlamp that is in front of them disburses the light well. These really are pretty damn bright! I'll have a look at them in more detail when I am out driving this evening. Truth be told, I would really have liked to grab these (http://www.diodedynamics.com/store/led-bulbs/listed-by-vehicle/ford/edge/2011-2013-ford-edge-front-turn-signal-leds-pair.html), but didn't notice them until yesterday (I had already ordered the eBay ones). Diode Dynamics looks like they have some great LED bulbs. I may want to give their 921 (reverse) bulbs a try!
  19. Not yet. Have not gotten any feedback on my original question. I haven't rushed into replacing them as my DTBL turn signals work perfectly.
  20. So, one of my (2 years old) switchbacks is starting to go. The amber lights are extremely weak and barely visible. They are the predecessor of these: http://www.vleds.com/5k-type-2-dual-color-changing-white-amber-switchback-42-high-power-led-turn-signal-bulbs-3157-4157-1-pair.html These almost look identical to mine (again, originally purchased from V-LED, 2 years ago): http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0050OTACA No way I am paying $80 for replacements (I think mine were $40 back in the day). Anyone have suggestions for new ones? I am looking at these replacement options at the moment: http://store.ijdmtoy.com/3157-High-Power-Switchback-LED-Bulbs-p/20-315.htm http://www.ebay.com/itm/191094327988 http://www.ebay.com/itm/131211337857 From what I have read, the triton's (gen 2, V3) are still not working with Ford's (despite the adapter they offer). What are you guys currently using and are you satisfied? I'd really like to keep the Type 2 functionality.
  21. If you looks at 9012 bulbs, they are 9006 size. Some edge owners on here have had better luck getting 9005 bulbs to twist and lock into the bulbs socket. Basically you want a 9006 or 9005 kit to replace your HIR2/9012 ORM bulb. 35w/4300k would look OEM (near absolute white), as would 55w/5000k (just 15-20% brighter).
