  1. You can always try and install some of the switches from the mks (very, very unlikely that will work). https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=sPDMcdoUgIg
  2. Haven't the VLEDs always had issues with our electrical system "oscillation"? They never came up with a fix for the triton lights, did they? Just curious...
  3. And if you have an SE or an edge without automatic climate: Manual climate control For hot weather conditions: The climate control system will be set to MAX A/C. For cold weather conditions: The climate control system will be set to provide maximum heating in (floor/defrost) mode. Rear defrost/heated mirrors (if equipped) will be activated. For moderate weather conditions: The interior cabin will be heated, cooled or off, based upon the previous operating state (last ignition-on cycle). Rear defrost/heated mirrors (if equipped) will be deactivated.
  4. The conditions of the auto climate do change with outside temperature. The owners manual has a full explanation: Automatic climate control For hot weather conditions: The interior cabin will be set to 72°F (22°C). The cooled seats (if equipped and if the feature is selected to AUTO in the message center) will be set to high. For cold weather conditions: The interior cabin will be set to 72°F (22°C). The heated seats (if equipped and if the feature is selected to AUTO in the message center) will be set to high. Rear defrost/heated mirrors (if equipped) will be activated. 5. You can order a ikt fob with a remote start button and program it yourself. Takes only a few minutes to do.
  6. Yes, I got the HP24. They are considerably brighter than the vleds. I waited until they had a 20% off and snagged them for $40 or so. I'm very happy with them. They do seem the best built (aluminum). I'll report back if they ever fail.
  7. Nope. Zero issues with the new ones. My original VLED ones went erratic, the eBay ones I then tried eventually failed (never erratic, but the Amber LEDs went on one bulb). I have high hopes these will last.
  8. Let's not forget 10k or higher purple light! I smack myself and curse the idiot who put those in. I shudder when I think of those morons driving at night on wet roads. They would get more light output from the "flashlight" feature on their smartphones.
  9. Don't forget diode dynamics. Just picked up my replacement switchbacks from them and couldn't be happier.
  10. That's a shame rusty, the dealer should be able to bill you a half hour for the activation. You can also see if a local pep boys, Firestone etc has the IDS tool (many service centers do). As far as the key goes, try lowes or a local locksmith. It's an easy key to cut. Just tell the Home Depot manager that you assume all responsibility. Have you tried Walmart?
  11. The "stone" color is correct. I was suprised when I got my edge, too.
  12. CB, it looks like TRS pulled their harness only auctions from eBay, but the link Perf supplied for the harness is the exact one you want. It's a good harness and worth the money. The eBay link you posted seems ok, but the wires seen like thin gauge. I had tried the capacitors when I had my DDM installed (for three weeks, when I first got my edge), but they didn't provide any performance enhancement at all.
  13. Make sure you turn on "show notifications" under settings > Bluetooth > sync You might have to disconnect and reconnect your phone in the MFT
  14. Hair dryer worked great. Took a while because most of the moisture was between the led side market and the headlight ring
  15. Anyone have remedies on how to fix this? Or will it likely dissipate on its own? I can always bring it in for a warranty claim (I'll just put my spare dust covers on). I don't see any cracks or gaps in the HID grommet through the cap. Never had an issue before.
  16. That sounds like a bunch of issues all at once. You can always reset the system (I simply pull the power to the fuse box under the steering wheel to the left of the brake pedal) and see if that works. If not, that is likely worth a trip to the dealer.
  17. Added a "proxy" component for my edge. Since I added the cellular remote access for my edge, I realized this still wouldn't solve my issues with my car being hot or cold at home (always garaged). So, I added the MyQ remote garage door capabilities to our Chamberlain opener (2003 model). Now I can open the garage door and safely start my Edge, both from my phone.
  18. CB, Just be cautious with that wire harness. Many of us have had the harness melt after just a few uses (myself included), albeit that was with a 55w kit. You can always replace the harness with one from TRS (I think it can be had for $15-20 on eBay), which is of a much higher build quality.
  19. Still all done in the back. This kits includes the rmst (shock sensor) box and long range aerial antenna in addition to the the 100 series antenna. You simply run the long range aerial antenna cable up the c-pillar column and mount the antenna on the rear trunk window.
  20. My pleasure. The dealer will likely program the key for you. Mine offered when activating my cellular remote access, but I didn't have my keys on hand.
  21. Rusty, Scroll down to page 154: http://www.partscheap.com/v/vspfiles/files/pdf/2011remotestart-truck.pdf
  22. It's that easy (disclaimer: the two little plastic plug/screws that hold the side panel to the floor pan take the longest to remove). My install took me 30 minutes. Just make sure you have a t50 torx bit. I had to go buy this one: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-T50-Torx-3-8-in-Drive-Bit-Socket-H3DHBST50/202913549/ The only caveat would be if your edge does not include the wire harness for the hood switch. But I've seen those on eBay as well. You probably have it though.
