No, the drl's can either be reduced power headlights or the parking lights.

Sometimes the plug is tucked up inside, just above the window, close to the A pillar. That's only so you can unplug the visor electric connection in order to work on the visor outside the vehicle. I had to reach up a little to unplug mine, if I remember correctly.

Headliner removal takes seconds (you really only need to remove A pillar cover. I did mine for under $40 and took under an hour. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/12674-adding-homelink-rear-view-mirror-to-2012-ford-edge-sel/ Here's a good (older) write up from a Ford Edge: http://www.escape-city.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=4074 Just a note, my visor home link plastic had to be cut out (the lines were molded in the plastic) with a blade. The plastic is soft and easy to cut through.

Hi Tricia! No worries, my dealer is taking care of everything. I'll be picking up my edge tomorrow. They took great care of me (as they always do). My edge problems have always been addressed immediately. FYI, my local dealer is Chapman Ford of Egg Harbor NJ. Thanks for looking out for me, though.

Everything is covered under warranty... If not, it would have only cost me $50 (deductable) with my ESP.

Ugh. This forum is become a checklist! - brake booster failure? Check! - ptu leak? Check! Just waiting for my APIM to go... I still love my edge... It's currently sitting at the dealership. I noticed oil drops on my garage floor (the epoxy still looks new, 6 years later!). Took it in yesterday and I am driving a 2014 Passat until tomorrow (I've had worse loaners). According to my service advisor they plan on replacing the PTU gasket/seal and refilling with oil. We shall see. On a positive note this saves 400 something miles I would have otherwise put on my edge (headed down to MD for two days).

Aftermarket HID lifespan

They can get flaky. Check all the wiring and make sure there are no issues. Make sure everything is tight (are you using a wire harness from the battery?). -

Norm, Have you verified it is just the bulb? Which brand did you get? Typically, I have seen them just die (or occasionally flicker just prior). It's usually filament based bulbs (incandescent, "xenon", etc.) that dim and then die. You always want to replace in pairs to avoid a slight mismatch in color/temp from old > new bulb. You can always keep the old bulb as an emergency "spare". 2.5 years is not uncommon, especially for aftermarket. I've had some last 2 years. My wife's TRS bulbs (being powered by DDM ballasts) are still running strong at almost 5 years. -
Sorry! I forgot about taking pictures. I am out of the country again (kind of, Puerto Rico). I'll try and remember to snap some pics this weekend.

I've tried many switchbacks, from vled, eBay and Amazon.. All eventually had an issue in less than 6 months. I switched to diode dynamics and have been very happy with them so far: http://www.diodedynamics.com/store/led-bulbs/listed-by-vehicle/ford/edge/2011-2013-ford-edge-front-turn-signal-leds-pair

You need standard bulbs. If you can find type 1 switchbacks (Amber/white/Amber) for turn signals), you won't need a resistor. Most switchbacks are type 2 (turn signal is Amber/off/Amber) and require a resistor. Not sure why everyone is against resistors. Using scotchlocks, it takes 5 minutes to install.

I assume you mean "limited"? Yes, all 2011-2014 (yes, 2015 too) have the vertical light bar DRLs below the headlights (except SE trim level). They are not true DRLs as they only come on with the parking lights. Do you not have the lights there?

That a masterbuilt? We just finished eating a 16lb Boston that I had put in our smoker lat night? Was it getting to difficult to procure P-Dip in Korea in order to upkeep them? -
Can anyone with the OEM ambient lighting ('11-'14) confirm how many LED's you have In each of the cup holder rings? It seems odd that I have two LEDs in the rear-most cup holder and only one LED in the front cup holder (closest to the radio/HVAC controls). Not sure if one burned out or if I never noticed it was only one LED before. Thanks!

Thanks for the heads up. I needed something local. Got a great deal on Bridgestone destination le 2 tires. if I hate them after 30 days I can exchange them for the ecopias.

Anyone have recommendations/experience with non-oem 20" replacement tires? Basically, my stock Pirelli scorpion (str, I think) tires need replacement already, with only 37k on them (my wife got 70k on her OEM Bridgestone dueler alenzas on her 2010 cx-9). I see plenty of 245-50r20 options on tire rack. Just wanted to get some feeeback from the forum. Thanks!
