  1. The turn signal DRL will be the same as any Edge that you see driving around that has factory HID. I will try to post a couple pictures but it's difficult to show the HID. If its just color temp, then you may see that. I'll see what I can capture.
  2. Sorry, that's what I meant. Isn't there a pinhole camera app? lol
  3. I bought weathertechs for my 13 SEL and they fit great. The only thing I found is the mat doesn't completely cover the left footrest. I bought a black hand towel at Walmart and tucked it under the trim to protect the small bit of carpet still showing.
  4. I have used the absolutehid 9012 4300k 35 watt kit for nearly 2 years with zero issues. I had the DRL function changed from headlight to turn signal before installing HID so I did not use a relay harness. I also didn't want to deal with all the extra wiring and relay under the hood for a 55 watt kit. Since the voltage going to the headlight in my situation is 13.5 VDC, the ballast doesnt have any problem firing. If you have headlight as DRL, I would probably use a relay harness. The relay will have less issues with the pulsing DRL 10 VDC that the ballast will. Be weary of tabs and trimming and return wire shadows from whatever brand you choose. The headlight assembly is a reflector so everything is inverted 180 degrees.
  5. Just as a follow up to an old post. Here is what I have done. I had my dealer change the DRL function from the headlights to the turn signals in my 2013 SEL. I had to connect the DTBL DRL amber signal trigger to the rear turn signal wires. These can be located in the drivers side footwell. I installed 35 watt HID from absolutehid.ca They have been in for about 20 months and not a single hiccup. I had to trim the tabs on the lamps in order to rotate them 1 tab to eliminate the return wire shadow. I installed ballasts in factory location. If you have any questions about my set-up, please ask.
  6. Doesn't Lysol have to come in contact with the surface in order to work? I assume the coil is on the filtered air side of the cabin filter. I never paid attention when I replaced my filter this spring. With the glove box and filter so easily removed, is there something else one could spray while that is all apart?
  7. Probably Air Conditioning "stink". My 13 has it bad this year. Changing the cabin filter won't help the smell. It's the condensation in the AC system. Lot's of people complain about it here. Ford says nothing they can do although the other 5 Fords in our service fleet (E-150's, a Freestar and F-150's) don't have the issue. I try to turn the AC off 5 minutes before I get home and run the fan on high to dry out the condenser.
  8. Sure hope they improve the throttle response. Feels like there's a bungee cord connected to the throttle body and when you floor it, you have to wait for the bungee to stretch before acceleration starts.
  9. I went with 2013 SEL. I was quite disappointed that ambient lighting was not available on the 13 model but was on the 12 that I test drove. Wasn't even an option. Didn't know until I took delivery. Thought it was standard. Keyless entry is a must after having it on this vehicle. Didn't want sunroof or leather or tacky simulated wood grain trim. Sony stereo isn't worth the extra cost IMO. I swapped the wheels out for the ones from a limited. Hindsight, I would have liked the gold colored ones from the MKX Tow package and roof rails for future Sea-Doo purchase and NAV.
  10. I know this doesn't answer your question but why not just create the hotspot on your mobile device and let them connect to that. No reason to do a hop through MFT to get to your phone.
  11. This of course is our opinion and as such, readers on this forum can choose whichever filter the like. Based on my experience with the Fram Freshbreeze filter, I would not recommend it.
  12. They do not come from factory. They are an add on. You can use the flat Ford ones or the contoured kind from several different manufacturers. Search Mud Flaps or Mud Guards on the forums.
  13. Not the fresh breeze filter. It cuts the airflow in half. This was also noted by another member on this forum.
  14. If you go to the Fram fresh breeze site, there will be a video showing how to change it. Literally takes 2 minutes. Don't buy the Fram fresh breeze filter though. It is very restrictive and cuts your airflow in half.
  15. The original vertical light pipes in the bottom of the bumper are only an accent light. They are only on at night, when headlights are manually switched on or when unlocking your vehicle (courtesy light). They are not normally on during the day unless you manually switch your headlights on. Even if you turn them on manually during the day you can't really see them. The discussion of DRL (daytime running light) on this forum is mostly from U.S. members where there are no lights on during the day on U.S. vehicles. Canada requires all vehicles to have some sort of forward facing light on during the day. If you have HID headlights on your Edge, the amber turn signals will be on as DRL. If you have halogen headlights, they will be on as DRL The DTBL Edge2 can replace your OEM light pipes with very bright LED's. These can be wired to be on during the day as additional DRL on a Canadian vehicle. They also have the amber switchback portion that activates with your turn signals. In order to connect these to your vehicle, you must splice into existing wiring in order to make them work. When wired properly, the DTBL Edge2 will be on at 100% brightness whenever your vehicle is running. When it gets dark or you switch your headlights on manually, DTBL will dim to 70%.
  16. What's TIT? Other than what first comes to mind?
  17. Cleared cookies and browser history and that worked.
  18. Strange thing happening on my iPad. When I click on the "View New Content" link, I get The Wizard members avatar displayed on a page all by itself. How do I get rid of this?
  19. Picked up an OEM pollen filter from Ford today. I am changing back from the Fram due to air flow restriction. I'll update once the swap is done.
  20. I wouldn't. You should be able to buy a quart of pre-mix. Or go for an oil change and have them top it up
  21. I find the Fram filter very restrictive. So much in fact that it's like losing 2 or 3 settings on the fan speed. For example, on MFT I have 7 lines showing fan speed. 1 is low and 7 is full speed. Full speed only moves about as much air as setting 4 or 5 did with the old filter. I will be switching back. Fan noise is too high in order to get same airflow as before. 2 day old Fram filter for sale?
