Remote Start - 2013
normcloutier replied to Liptoss's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Locks & Remote Start
Has nothing to do with where the dash controls are left. Remote start seat warmer settings are in the menu as are temp settings. -
Trying Lysol to kill stink before the stink kills me
normcloutier replied to normcloutier's topic in Lounge
I ordered the Lubegard online. Thought I would try this $30 fix before turning it over to the dealer. Anyone know exactly where the drain tube is on a 13 SEL? Would it be better to use the product from the inside? Is the evaporator accessible from behind the glove box? -
Best way to support iPhone from dash?

Doesn't the mountek block your touchscreen? -
I find that when driving over rough roads (and there's lots this time of year), the cut-off of the beam may bounce up and appear to the oncoming traffic as you flashing your brights. They then of course flash you back.

Help - Replacing 12V port with 2.1 Amp USB
normcloutier replied to dc331903's topic in Accessories & Modifications
Why not just plug a 2 port usb adaptor into the socket? -
I have a keyless entry/remote start fob that needs a new battery. Anyone know what kind of battery it is and how to get at it?
-
I doubt it's the chain. Installing it one tooth off would be extremely noticeable.

keyless entry system questions
normcloutier replied to cams-76's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Locks & Remote Start
I could never deal with a key again after using keyless entry and pushbutton start for 3 years. Pushbutton start was #1 on my must have list when I went vehicle shopping. -

You can check your speedometer afterwards with pretty much any gps app just to be sure.

They will not work with the OEM harness. There are no electronics on that connector. It's just a place to keep the OEM plug.

charcoal air cabin filter
normcloutier replied to richy's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
I bought the Fram Fresh Breeze last year and took it out. I found that it reduced the airflow. To compensate, I had to turn the fan higher which created more noise so I opted to go back to the OEM one. -

Trying Lysol to kill stink before the stink kills me

I am going to wait until spring. It's well below freezing here now and smell is gone. Only appears around the freezing point and above. -
20" wheels from Limited with Pirelli Scorpion tires. In my case it's a tire issue.
-
My problem was separated tread on the 20" Pirelli Scorpions. I have had 2 replaced already on separate occasions. Vehicle was good for a while. I rotated my tires at 30k and the problem is back. Third bad tire maybe? In my case, the pull is intermittent. Very subtle sometimes and then I'll drive over a bump and then the pull is worse.

outside temperature out of sync
normcloutier replied to roadkill401's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
I find that one just updates faster than the other. When there is a temp change, they may be off by 1 degree celcius but soon sync up. -
TRS 9012 Kit

Not sure if your bases are the same but this is what I had to trim off my AbsoluteHID lamps in order to rotate them 1 tab. This put return wire at bottom which put shadow on top. The area marked in black sharpie is what I had to trim. The pic is of the original OEM halogen lamp. -
When I removed mine to install new back-up lamps, I put painters tape into the gap as far as I could before prying them off.

Is there a way to program or change how much throttle is required to make the transmission downshift? I finally figured out why I don't like driving my Edge. I have to press down way to much on the accelerator in order to make the tranny downshift. Which also may be the cause of my poor fuel economy. Feels like I am pulling a trailer. It seems like it's always one gear to high. Sluggish because there's no power in the current gear. By the time the vehicle downshifts, it's nearly 3/4 throttle which then causes such a jolt when it finally does downshift. I drive a F-150 club cab 4x4 as a service vehicle during the day and it drives like a dream compared to the edge. Great throttle response and shifting when expected.

I live in Regina. My dealer is listed on the BG website. I will see what they say about it. Hykfan, do you know anyone else in Regina that does this service? I wouldn't mind getting a couple quotes. Pretty much every car dealer is listed but as you know, some may be better than others.
