Nice man at Ford Canada says that my Edge is supposed to have Sport mode. Off to book some service I guess.

Just confirmed on my Edge that when shifter is placed in S, transmission does not shift. Is there a TSB for this? Looks like I'll have to contact Ford.

Can anyone with a Canadian 13 SEL AWD confirm that their transmission will shift with the selector in S without touching + and - button? I took delivery on my Edge in May so it was an early build. Is this something that was maybe caught early on and changed on later builds?

My manual states a sport mode if equipped and a select shift if equipped. Is it possible to have select shift without sport mode? I have the S on the shift indicator beside the shifter and the + - buttons on the side.

Wow. Glad I surfed the site tonight. I have a 13 SEL and my S mode is fully manual. Nothing shifts unless you press the + or - buttons. It will downshift to first when you come to a stop but that's it. I will have to give it a thorough test tomorrow and see what's up.

Just bought A6 and it still doesn't have a 3 year old subdivision on it. Guess I'll hold out til A8. Should be on that one. Hopefully......

You guys think you have it bad? In my Edge, when Siri closes and MFT stays on BT, Adele starts playing. Now that's just wrong!!!!

I have weathertech in the front. I put my Ford mats on top when it's real slushy out since the WT don't have a lot for water retention. If I get quite a bit of water at my feet, it can slosh around pretty good with just the WT alone.

I have also noticed that occasionally when pressing the mic button to start dictation in a text or email, MFT will switch to Bluetooth audio. Doesn't happen all the time, maybe 20 to 30% of the time.

Poop. Just bought one off eBay for $80 US.

Sounds like you have the trigger wire connected to an always on source instead of an ignition controlled circuit.

If you want to install HID in your 13 SEL, ask your dealer to change the DRL from headlights to parking lamps. This way your HID lamps won't be on all the time. Plus the lower voltage to the headlights while in DRL mode will be eliminated. I had this done on mine. Took 5 minutes. I then installed a HID kit. Big improvement.

Upgraded MFT in my 13 SEL on the weekend. Now, none of the audio notifications play through my phone when synced with Bluetooth. Text messages and phone calls will ring through MFT but emails, appointments, alarms, etc get muted and won't play on the phone. Is there a way around this? I need to have the audible notifications. Can you revert back to the previous version of MFT?

I ran some cables through the existing grommet behind the battery on my 13 SEL. There is an extra unused port (like a rubber nipple) you can snip and pull cable through.

Which LED's are you using?

Hello everyone. I have had aftermarket HID lamps in my 13 SEL since I bought it. It was a big improvement over the stock halogens. Looking to move to LED. Has anyone used this type of lamp in their Edge? This model looks like many that are advertised online and in local stores. Probably all made in the same factory anyway. http://absolutehid.ca

Has anyone had the repair done? I am afraid that removing and replacing parts will lead to more unrelated problems. I had the door sensor replaced on my 13 SEL and I have been back to the dealer 5 times for rattles/squeaks in the drivers door panel. Still not fixed. Things never go back together the same as on the production line.

Did anyone have their door sensor replaced on 2012 models due to door ajar warnings or was this only 2013 models? I am back to the dealer for the 5th time to have rattles fixed on the drivers door since they took it apart to change sensor. if it was a 2012 problem, this should have been fixed in 2013 and I want a new door panel.

Turns out its the ballast. Good thing I have spares

Igniter will fire as I can see the flash when starting the vehicle. Would that point to the bulb or might still be the ballast?

I'll check connections. Maybe even redo the dielectric grease on them to make sure they are good. Luckily I have a complete spare kit including ballasts so I'm good either way. The ballasts fit so perfectly in the OEM locations I bought a spare set in case the model I had got discontinued.

I have a kit from absolutehid.ca http://absolutehid.ca/ford-edge-hid-kit.html My ballasts are different than what's shown. Must be an old picture. Went out to the store last night and the lamp was back on. Do the ballasts get flaky or are they usually working or not?
