I am planning on installing HID's on my 2013 SEL. I have an appointment with my dealer tomorrow to finally have them look at changing the programming of the DRL function from the headlights to the front turn signals. My question is, on a factory HID equipped vehicle, what happens during the day when you flash hi beams? I got thinking about this today. My headlights are always on. They run at a dimmed 10 volts during the day and full 13 volts at night. During the day, if I need to grab someones attention (at an intersection to signal ROW, etc,) I can flash my hi beams and the oncoming person can see the change in light. If you have a HID equipped vehicle and the headlights are off, does it flash the parking lights? I may not want to switch the DRL function over if this is the case. Any Canadian Limited owners with HID know what happens when you flash Hi beam during the day?

Yes, the clips that come with the set. I installed the clip onto the rubber liner instead of the metal lip of the fender. The holes mentioned are for a SEL model. Not sure if all models have the screws in the same spot. I cut a template out of cardboard and screwed that into place to see how everything looked/fit before cutting the mud flaps.

I installed ones from Ford. I used holes B and J with the factory screws and added a third screw point with my own clip using hole T. I put a speed nut clip onto the rubber wheel liner so as not to drill into metal and create a rust point. I have attached a template of my cut out pattern. If you print it without any scaling, it should be the right size. OEM Mud Guard.pdf

Must be different on US models. When I ordered my 13 SEL, ambient lighting was only available in the Limited model. Make sure you confirm your options. All of them.

Thanks but isn't it somewhat dependant on the vehicle though? Can someone with a 12 or 13 limited with OEM tires just have a peek at the tire sticker on the drivers pillar and let me know what's listed there?

I have a 13 SEL but had my dealer put the wheels from a limited on my Edge. The tire sticker for the vehicle is for 18". What is the tire pressure for the 20" Pirelli Scorpion tires? Is it still 35 psi?

What is the outside temp when you are starting your vehicle? Your heated seats will not come on with the remote start unless the temp is below freezing.

Looks like they haven't fixed the problem at factory yet because I just had the drivers door latch changed on my 13 SEL.

In the menu, you can specify auto or last setting. In auto mode, temp has to be above or below a certain point before AC or heat will activate. I know my heated seats won't come on in auto mode unless outside temp is at least freezing or below. Not sure what the temp is for AC activation.

My correction. Light pipe follows the "Lights On" setting. They come on at night or when lights are switched to ON. They are off during the day. They go on and off in sync with front and side markers as well as tail lights.

It's been a while since I parked in front of a glass store front window and played with the lights but if memory serves me correctly, the stock lite pipe is full brightness during the day and dimmed at night. I haven't looked at the plug on those to see if they are 2 wire or 3. I assume they are like the headlights and some electronics limit the voltage to dim them. I'll be working on the Edge on the weekend. I'll see what I can discover and let you know. I'll gladly test a set for you and won't charge you a thing. lol

I just had a quick peek at the headlight wiring. I'll confirm what does what once I can wash under the hood and meter some connections. There are only 4 wires going into the headlight assembly. Ground and 3 hots. Once inside the assembly, the ground wire is paralleled into 3 grounds. Each ground pairs off with a hot to power the following: 1) Headlamp 2) Side marker lamp 3) Shutter So unless I'm missing something, there is no way to differentiate between DRL and ON headlight operation. The voltage difference is handled by electronics, not a separate wire. I definitely want a set of these so if you need me to test something specific pertaining to Canadian or headlight DRL models, let me know. The vertical light pipes do have a day night setting associated with them so I'm not sure if that could be used.

The after market Ford ambient light kit is only one cup holder led and two footwell led bars. The pics online are of the OEM ambient light kit built in at factory. I have an installation manual somewhere. If you need it, pm me.

Must be your smooth roads. My seat moving 0.5" isn't noticeable when driving over 4" potholes everywhere. I have a 13 SEL and fortunately I guess, don't have this problem.

I'm sure this will be asked at some point so I'll throw it out there. Will these be able to be used on vehicles that use the headlights as DRL? My headlights are always on. Does that mean that the new Edge2 lights will never be on at 100%. My Edge runs the headlights at 10 volts during the day and 13 volts at night.

Anyone use this style of carrier? This one has the end piece that can fold down to a ramp, be upright as shown or fold flat onto carrier. Looking for an easy way to haul the lawnmower or snow blower.

Just had my drivers door latch replaced on my 13 SEL. Under warranty of course

For the past couple days I have been getting driver door ajar warnings while driving. Where is the sensor located? Is it a mechanical switch or a contact sensor? It has also been turning on my interior lights, puddle lights etc. when parked. I assume it does this because it thinks the door has been opened.

When I had my edge into the dealer for the last round of testing, I was given an Edge limited from a rental company to drive. It had absolutely no pulling at all. Tracked perfectly straight.

i think they are just standard mp3 unless iTunes saves them as something else. I can get songs onto the usb no problem. I was hoping to be able to use playlists and actually look at the songs stored on the usb to be able to select specific ones. Is this possible?

Is this a GUI type program? The only download I can find online runs a java exe. Do you have a link?

I am wanting to copy my itunes music onto USB to use in my edge rather than stream the songs from my phone. Is there a way to do this in iTunes 11 or do I have to copy them from the source folder? Do the playlists appear when using USB?

I installed the flat Ford ones on my 13 SEL and they look pretty good. I didn't want to drill any holes in the metal so I opened up the wheel well and used one of the extra clips that came with the kit to attach the 3rd screw to the wheel well liner. I also trimmed the guard so it sits flat.
