Welcome aboard. At the car show today the kid at Ford told me the 2013 had a larger rear hatch opening. Looks the same as my 2011, Wanna measure your opening from the inside edges of your tail lamps to see if this guy was full of it?

For$55 I got a retro fit kit from DDMTuning.com. I used the slim fit digital ballast in 5000k with a 55W bulb. For my 2011 Sport I bought the 9005 kit, but I see that a lot of people bought the 9006. Mine fit without modification, and look and work great. Don't forget the wiring harness which was only$13 extra and to re-align your lamp height after install. Simple instructions on that procedure in your owners manual.

Oh, I saw 3.7l and assumed you had a 2011 or newer Sport. Wasn't this a TSB on the 2007-2010s? The dealer may still be able to help. Willing is another issue...

I sold them Richy, sorry to because I needed quick cash to pay for a generator we needed during Sandy and got pennies on the dollar. Now with all the OT we have, I wish I had the headrests. Ahhh such is life.

One thing I've learned is to buy what you want from the get go. If you like the appearance package see if you can swing it somehow. I'm so happy I got the deal on the Sport that I did because it's exactly what I wanted. I Wouldn't have been happy keeping my 2008 limited and trying to make a sport out of it, neither would I have been happy getting a 2011 limited and trying to make a sport either.

The waiting is the hardest part...didn't you learn anything from Tom Petty? Until you get it, try not to think about it. Since that'll be impossible, just read the endless threads about the edge and look at everyone's pretty pictures. It'll be here faster than your first born!

I saw the seven passenger Santa Fe today at the car show and was so impressed with it. Wife doesn't like the shape of the hood but when the local dealer gets one were still test driving one. If, or I should say when Ford lemons our current explorer, we may consider one of these, or try our hand with a new 2014 Explorer. I have to agree the Acadia is as nice a truck as you can ask for.

^ those door sills look nice than the oem Ford ones that came in my car. Installation looks like it's double sided tape though so I guess it's going over the existing plastic threshold... I Love the look of my red Ford logo mgp caliper covers.

There's someone selling a nice set of aftermarket ones in our classifieds section, that have LEDs and projects beams in them.

Unknown right now. They did replace the sunroof assembly twice so it's not that. It's been back 9 times, nearly 120 days in service, each time they take the headliner out they say "We found the leak and sealed it!" Then they button up the car again return it to us and it leaks again. It's at a point where we got in touch with a lawyer and were pursuing a lemon settlement on it. We love the Ex and more than likely we'll take the check and buy a new Ex. Today we went to the car show and we only thought the GMC Acadia was close to what we'd want, but at a lot more money. So I think we're going to have a 2014 Explorer by fall.

Sorry no input here, only an observation. Just got home from the New York international auto show at the javits center and I must say driving home and using MFT left me feeling empty. After seeing demos and using systems from Lexus, Mercedes, Chevy, Mazda, I think MFT falls squarely in last place. I don't understand how this happened because Ford seemed so far ahead of the pack?! Now it seems that everyone late to the party brought better systems. The Lexus system stands out in my mind, but Dodge/Chrysler is pretty nice as well. Oh well... guess I have more incentive to make a mount for the new nexus 7 tablet from Google that will be out by memorial day.

We own an 11 Edge Sport and 11 Explorer. The Ex has fallen victim to a terrible water leak aside from that we love both.

Shouldn't this be under warranty?

They look very similar. The Ex is a little more plush where my Edge is a little cleaner.

Wow, hey thanks for the kind words. Its funny because I'm a student of Richy's in a way myself. He got me hooked into reading the detailing forum he's on, and then answered all my questions about waxes, polishes, machines, pads, etc... got me interested in buying a machine and off I went. It was awesome fun, the results are great and its so rewarding to see those beads everytime it rains. You'll be so happy with your results.
