  1. Yes, I turned the BT on, and I allowed it to search as well as be found. Our Lexus ES found it and paired with it immediately, but the SYNC has not been able to pair with it. Seems like quite a common problem after doing some reading on the internet and other forums. I will continue to read other ideas and forums and report back anything I find anyplace else
  2. One of the local shops does a lot of custom interiors using Katzkins leather interiors. They always look awesome.
  3. Wow thnks for the part numbers. Ill call my contact and see what these would cost. Ill post back when i have more info.
  4. As the Topic asks, Does anyone know if the sport bumper covers will fit on the 08-09 Edge? I dont see why not, but maybe im missing something? A white sand sport would look SWEETS oops meant to ask about 07-08's.
  5. Def not a fan, although....I did park next to the new Cadillac and it was very pretty.
  6. My new Verizon DROID will not pair up with the Edge. So disappointing. Anyone else with this problem?
  7. First snowfall of the year in NJ last weekend. Got about 12". The Edge did fine (With 20's) I did have a issued with wheel inbalance when some packed snow froze inside the rear passenger wheel. Beside that, I cant complain at all. Very sure footed. Ive towed my Polaris Rzr on a LoadRite snowmobile trailer (1800lbs) through 10+" of snow without incident, so im quite happy.
  8. After this weekends snowstorm, I had packed snow inside my rear passenger wheel that made the entire vehicle shake on the Parkway as I was going about 60mph. When I got to work I poked out the snow with a stick, and was surprised to see how little snow it took to throw off the wheel balance....
  9. Thanks for the towing advice, ill try towing with OD off, and report back.
  10. I've been towing my Polaris RZR-S approx. 1100lbs on a Loadrite trailer which is approx. 800lbs. even with me, my wife and dog and baby were well under the 3500lb tow limit, so why does the Edge hunt for an adequate gear when driving on flat highways at 65-75mph? It constantly jumps from under 2000RPM to 2500 and above... Is there some component of the towing package that Im missing (tow program for the trans? special gearing?) Is this normal? Should I be towing with the OD off? Any suggestions would be appreciated. If it matters, my highway towing mileage is around 16-18 MPG
  11. Porterfield brake pads. Ive used these in all my auto-x cars and street cars. You will not be disappointed with these pads. Wanna add real braking performance? Install a set of Goodridge stainless steel brake lines at the same time. All of a sudden those numb feeling OEM brakes have some really good feedback and stopping distances improve drastically! http://porterfield-brakes.com/product_info...?productID=2481 http://www.frsport.com/GOODRIDGE-13098-STA...GE_p_11798.html
  12. installed my hitch and trailer harness. When I opened up the lights to tap into the wires, my Sockets were charred as well. Bummer. Off to the dealer!
  13. Just filled up today... $3.45/gallon to my amazement! Anyway, last tank averaged 19.2MPG with an Average speed of 37MPH. Best has been 21 all highway. Just broke 5000 miles on the ride home. Going in for its first oil change as per the dealers instruction and Im asking the dealer to use Synthetic oil. Hoping that helps.
  14. Same here... 4200 miles on our 2008 Limited BAMR W/20's. On our longest highway trip to date 2.5 hours we saw 21MPG. Hoping that the engine breaks in further and gives up better mileage
  15. Photos? Anyone? Even though your descriptions are very clear, Photos would be great so we know what to look for.
  16. We had the same issue on our new 2008. We brought it back and they turned the strut plates 180 degrees. Problem solved, drives straight and true now.

  18. Maybe you can ask Ford? It clearly says its not transferable outside of the listed household. Had to be used by 01/02/08
  19. For less than $150 you can have a set of braided stainless steel lines made up for your Edge. They provide a great improvement on the rubber hoses which stretch under the hydraulic pressure of heavy braking.
  20. We just drove by the Lincoln dealer earlier and my fiance commented on how the MKX wheels were exactly the same as the Ford 20" Wheels. I think they might have switched to the same exact design for 2008 and just changed the center caps. IS that possible?
  21. What causes brake pad glazing? This is straight off the bedding instructions inside of my box of brake pads for my autox car. Brake pad glazing is caused when the brake pad friction material is overheated. This results in crystallized friction material on the pad surface and the brake disc. Typical symptoms of glazed brake pads include: Poor stopping performance, vibration or brake judder, and cracks or fissures in the brake pad material. Pad glazing is typically caused by operating the brake pads at a temperature above the specified temperature range of the friction material or not properly following the 'Bedding-in' instructions for the brake pads. Always follow the manufacturers brake pad bedding-in instructions and use a brake pad that has a temperature range that is sufficient for its intended use.
