  1. WOW, I considered the Camaro too and said the same thing. Im so thrilled with my White Edge Sport. I can begin to tell you how many looks you get and conversations start at gas pumps, stop lights, toll booths, parking lots, etc... I love this vehicle! So happy your enjoying that new car high right now. All the best.
  2. ^Absolutely. Or it can be a open car door, from the picture though... you were low on fuel when you snapped the picture.
  3. I thought i had a faulty MFT system when my bluetooth audio worked on my 2008 then quit when i hopped into my 2011. Then I had an issue with MFT Nightlight feature, err uh unintended feature. But, after a night at the dealership it came back and everything works. My bluetooth audio is streaming, my nightlight feature was turned off, and touch system seems to be functioning perfectly. So I guess I dont have an issue after all. Or maybe I did and it got srted out. Sorry to hear the troubles youre having. If your Edge worked like mine, you'd be thrilled with it. I hope it gets fixed, or you get offered a new one and get to experience all that the MFT system offers. Like someone else said, If they stole my Edge today, Id have the exact one ordered tomorrow all over again. This is the SUV or CUV, or truck or whatever you want to call it that Ive been waiting years for. Im so thrilled to drive it everyday. Best of luck to you OP.
  4. cool. I didn't realize that only the seating surfaces were sienna.
  5. Hey Ritchy,

truck looks great. I read your post on your detailing site. just noticed your avatar, you on the job?

  6. Called the service manager and asked if MFT was updated while my sport stayed overnightat the dealership? He had no idea, askedwhy, I explained stating that now more features are working. His response? Wait for it.... wait for iiiiiiiiiiiiiiit. So what's the problem then? Still hasn't returned the call to confirmor deny.
  7. UPDATE: 12/06/10 I'm not sure what happenedt when my ford touch night light killed my battery and my battery was dead for over a day, but now everything works correctly. This evening I was even able to listen to pandora streaming live through bluetooth from my phone. Anybody have any ideas?
  8. worry not. Ford is aggressively workingon new updates to flush the bugs out of MFT.
  9. gratulacje! Życzę Wam wielu szczęśliwych kilometrów jazdy. Czy nie ma ford dealerzy w Polska, że możesz skontaktować?
  10. I too was told that the cd player could play a dvd on the center screen. so much for misinformation.
  11. Welcome. This is a great place to ask questions, gather information and make your experience with your Edge a lot more enjoyable.
  12. I would love to see photos of your interior. When you get a few minutes, please post some up. Ive never seen the Sienna except from books.
  13. Hey guys, Cmon. NextTime, you didnt ask if he took pictures of the installation. He probably didnt, and if he did, you didnt ask that question. Bender, Maybe the remark came off as funny but lost something in the translation to a forum blog.... Listen were all here to help each other by posting our tips and info to for one another. Lets all get a long.
  14. "Original Poster: Damn, that tow truck story you just posted really sucks. Hopefully the system was damaged by the bad attempts to jump start. 44 minutes?!!?!? After five they should have just towed." The voltage across the terminals was 3.4VDC when he arrived. he had to get that up to close to 12. thats pretty good since i had a battery charger on it for 3.5 hours with only a minimal change. Battery shows 12.8VDC now, not sure if its new or my original.
  15. I really do love my 2011 Sport. Great driving, comfortable crossover that thinks its a sports sedan. I was a little sad when the battery died and it had to go back to the dealer overnight, but thats definitely not a dealbreaker in any way for me. No buyers remorse whatsoever. Im confident that the updates to the MFT will be out soon.
  16. $1700 without negotiating... Try to get that down, but either way, Id go with the limited over the SEL. The driver entry package is awesome. The rear view camera (I've never had one either) is VERY useful. It has guidelines that correspond to your tire tracks so that you will never end up rashing your rims on curbs when parallel parking, it also helps with getting a trailer attached if you tow. Either way you're going to love your new Edge.
  17. Ive had great success trailering my Polaris RZR with my Edge. Here's a photo of it decked out in Police garb for a local holiday parade last week. The RZR weighs in at 1100 pounds and the trailer at just under 700. With two adults and our bags and kids we add another 450 and we've never had a problem. The lower the weight of the trailer, the better obviously. They have all aluminum ATV / snowmobile trailers that weigh approx. 400-500 pounds, (featherlite) but since i'm under weight already i'm not worried.
  18. Im enjoying how the DIY threads are getting better action photos and descriptions from those of a few years ago.
  19. ^ That sucks, but it is funny.... Maybe you can complain to them about a few MyFord Touch problems. Theyll feel better and youll save some face. Theyll end up thinking they got the better vehicle.
  20. Bump for a great price. Wish I was close, Id get these for the Sport to save the 22's from our harsh winter weather, but Im on the ther side of the country.. Good luck with your sale.
  21. Someone was just talking about the 2008s getting reprogrammed. Mine would hunt for a gear then slam in like you were rear ended. I just found out that the dealer could reprogram the trans and that seemed to fix the problem and made the trans more responsive and crisp. Search around the forum
  22. OKAY! SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR.... wait a minute...why am I yelling? Damn, your post got me so wound up with your capital letters I lost it Anyway, that does suck. Try to get something free from this headache. Free service for a year or three. Free wheel locks (you can have mine, I didn't get em) and keep us posted. Best of luck.
  23. Congrats to you on the new rig, youare truly going to love it, and as others have saidheres wishing you many satisfied miles of motoring.
  24. So to update my saga, No flatbed ever arrived yesterday and after several calls to Ford Roadside Assistance I was finally connected to the private contractor towing service. They told me they would send a wrecker over to jump start the battery. After I explained that it was much more than a dead battery and that the dealer wanted the vehicle, the woman on the other end of the phone says "Yeah, well jump start your car, and you can drive it to the dealer yourself". The wrecker came and after 44 minutes connected to the tow truck my edge finally started. (Not before lots of reboots, flickering screens, etc) I made sure to let ford know this just in case i run into a fried electrical system (From this jump start) down the road. I guess this kind of took the bloom off the rose for me.... Plus Ford didn't impress with their choice of towing companies to work for them. It would serve Ford well to screen these companies better. Im sure someone will jump in and tell me that its not Fords fault that they have lousy tow contractors, but this experience overall just shows that customer service and going the extra mile for customers, even on big ticket items is a thing of the past. Although, my wifes Roadside assistance from Lexus was top notch when we had to use it, so come to think of it, maybe it is Ford. Dealership called and said, we dont know why your edge died. (I told them why, but why would they trust that a customer has more figured out then the service manager?) But the battery is holding a charge and you can come pick up your junk, i mean your truck.
  25. This was my reply when I sent a request about performance parts for the new 2011 Edge Sport to Steeda Performance. We have been getting some requests for this and will be looking into the vehicle, but have no ETA at this time as to when we will release parts and what will be available.
