  1. I installed kappa components 6809cs on the front doors of my 2012 edge se and mounted the tweeters on the a pillars, also have the 6829cf on my rear doors... Theyre currently amplified with a kicker 4 channel amp, getting about 55 watts rms per channel... They sound really nice, im happy with the price and the sound quality...
  2. To all of you guys (like me) waiting for a dash kit to come out for our 2011-2013 ford edge SE's... I just called scosche and they told me that theyre currently designing a dash kit for the edge... and they will release it to the market during the first week of december... i know its a long time to wait, but i rather wait than pay extra for custom fabrication and lose my a/c...
  3. i have 2 12s on mine and the map lights rattle a LOT!!! i found a very easy fix... raise the volume ...
  4. if you want tweeters in the pillars just buy a component set, mount the midbass in the stock door location and tweeters in the pillars... its way easier and it comes with a crossover already... the sound quality will be way better than a coaxial...
  5. I also have a 2012 ford edge without the sony sound system... i wasnt even a block away from the dealership when i knew i had to take those ugly ass speakers out... so i bought a set of infinity kappa components 6x8... mounted the midbass at the stock door location and the tweeter where the sony tweeters are originaly mounted in the A pillars... once you take off the pillar covers, you can actually see the template of the hole that ford uses to mount the sony tweeter.. so its pretty easy... but no wire harness was in there, so you have to run wires to them... also watch out for the side curtain air bag its pretty close...
