  1. Sorry, i didn't even see these posts. Stock were 17" and I went to 20" with lowering springs.
  2. Thanks. I have H&R springs, and yes, the ride did firm up. But I came from a Pontiac G8GT and before that a Grand Prix Comp G (handling package), so I like a stiffer ride. The original ride was way too floaty for me. I too plan to get my grill changed over soon to the sport grill style.
  3. I put on 20 x 8.5 with a 35mm offset on mine and it looks great, it is also lowered. Flush with the fenders making it look much wider than the factory wheel/tire combo. See pics at my member page. I also have the Yoko 265-50 Envigors and it is fine. Speedo is a bit off, but not much. About 3 mph off at 70 mph. Speedo shows 70 and it is actuall 72.8. If you are going with a wider wheel, you want the offset a bit less so it does not compromise fit on the inside.
  4. Good eye!! I have the H&R springs and the rear is exactly .250 inches lower. Not much, but for picky eyes like you and me it can be seen. Now some of the factory ones sit like that to, so mine may have been like that before the lowering.
  5. It is definitely a harder ride. Down here we have very smooth roads, so it's no problem. I did go to Tampa where the roads are crappy, and it was a tad jarrring, but still acceptable. The cornering is improved ridiculously. I have no problem with the ride, but if you aren't use to that kind of ride it may be to much.
  6. My smell is there after 8k. I plan to take it back, but I don't think they will do anything. For now, if I am accelerating hard onto the freeway I have to turn the a/c to fresh instead of recirc for a few minutes, and then put it back to recirc. Sucks, but it works. Down here you need to have it on recirc or it never feels cold.
  7. I went from 17" to 20" on my SE with no problem at all. The ride is still very good, but handles much better. You won't be disappointed. Now if you lower it in addition to going to 20's, then it is stiffer. My 20's weigh 3lbs more a wheel, and 4lbs more a tire than the stock 17's.
  8. bz4, I don't know if they sell them painted or not. They are on TR if you want to check them out. Thanks Mike. Looks like we have basically the same setup (for wheels that is). Are those Helo wheels? I almost went with them if they are.
  9. What JETZ said. Soemone on here posted his with 24's on it, and it looked stupid.
  10. Isn't Zaino Z-2 is a polish, not a wax?
  11. Thanks. I've always been a 5 spoke guy. Old school I guess.
  12. Thanks. Like your moniker. Enoy your edge when it comes in.
  13. Thanks guys. Got the springs from Tire Rack for $249.00 and had them installed and aligned for $225.
  14. Mine is lowered with 20 x 8.5 with 255-50-VR tires. It sat crazy high from the factory. See the suspension area and I have all the pics of before and after. How do you guys get your pictures to come in larger? Mine come in small and then you have to click it to make it big.

    New Wheels and Lowered

    After pictures
  16. Went from the stock 17" rims to 20" rims. Like the outcome.
  17. Got my SE new wheels and lowered it. Mine came with the nasty 17 x 7.5 rims with "T" rated tires and sat real high for some reason, so the wheel well gap was huge. I got some 20 x 8.5 wheels with 255-50 "V" rated tires. It still looked crappy because of how high it sat, but handled a ton better. So then I lowered it with the H&R spring, and now it looks like it should. Between the V rated low profile tires and the springs the thing doesn't even handle like an suv, it handles and takes corners like a sport sedan. I am coming from a Pontiac G8 GT, so I like the firm ride. The 1st pic is stock, 2nd with new wheels, 3rd with wheels and lowered. The others show closeups of before and after of the wells. Not the best pictures, but ya can definitely see the difference. Love the way it looks now. It looks mean now, where it looked goofy before. Couldn't get big pictures to load, but hit the first one and it will get big and then you can hit right arrow to toggle through them. Let me know what you think.
  18. They are nice rims, but you might want to double check the offset. 48mm offset seems way too high for an 8" wheel. They should be in the 38mm offset range, but if TR says it will fit than it will fit. Talk to a rep. The factory is 38mm offset for their 20 x 8 wheels. I just bought AR Nova Chrome 20 x 8.5 with a 35mm offset and it fits perfect. I'm getting ready to post pics of mine with the new wheels and lowered in the suspension area within the hour, and then maybe here in the wheel area.
  19. Pics of my edge with new wheels and lowered. Ist is stock, 2nd is wheels only, 3rd is lowered. Others are closeups. No the best pictures, but gets the idea accross. Mine sat stupid high, now it sits like it should have all along.
  20. Whoops, just noticed someone with an 2007 asked the same question with the answer of 35 psi. I assume they would be the same for my 2012. If they are different, please let me know. Sorry about the double question if they are the same.
  21. Will soon. Probably take some this weekend and post. The wheels fit perfect. I also just had it lowered this week. Looks much, much better.
  22. I recently got 20" rims and tires. Mine were originally the 17" tires with 35psi recommendation. My door jam doesn't list the recommended pressure for the 20" tires. if you have one with the factory 20" on it, can you please let me know what your door jam says for air pressure
  23. Mine does it only under hard accelleration. Worse with the a/c set to recirculate.
