  1. my guess is that you don't remove the timing cover, you just remove the bottom bolts that connect to the pan through the timing cover.
  2. are these tunes for 87or 93 octane? And do you have an intake or still stock?
  3. I've never looked under the car, but why would the whole engine need to be removed for an oil pan gasket? seems like something that is accessible from below.
  4. the answer is yes, you should install the wiring harness.
  5. it's probably cured already because factory paint is baked so it cures a lot quicker.
  6. i mean i know tuning a forced induction motor is probably different than a n/a one though.
  7. it runs 14.1 at WOT? I doubt that. Coming from tuning my mazdaspeed6 that thing ran 9.5-10.0 at WOT, but we would lean them out to 11.6-12 which was still safe, I know different cars, but I don't think any car runs that lean at WOT. That is more like cruising AFRs. By leaning out you improve the combustion efficiency, by getting a more efficient burn, but you run the risk of running hotter. Adding power isn't just tweaking timing, there is more to it with fueling and other things.
  8. the low end could probably be fixed by changing the throttle mapping as it seems there is a delay when you step on it. you aren't going to get tons of power without modifying timing but you can probably get some by changing tables, I'm not sure what tables there are but you could lean it out a bit too.
  9. really like those low end gains. I'm sure there are still decent gains to be had just with using 87 octane and a tune.
  10. if matte black is what you are looking for your best bet is to buy some plasti dip spray and do that. it's cheap and easy to pull off if you don't like it.
  11. that looks good. i'll know in a week or so if they'll swap my grille with a tuxedo black one. they said a local ford engineer was at the dealer last night and they gave him my VIN to see what the deal was.
  12. i followed kc300c install and it was a piece of cake, I didn't even take the stock intake out. Had it installed in 15-20min, and I mounted mine on the side of the headlight where the stock ones would go.
  13. it's not that they can't see you, it's the fact that you blind them from being able to see anything else. if there is one thing i hate is when the car coming towards me blinds me and you can't really see anything. yeah you can look at the lines and be fine, but my biggest fear is a deer jumping out at that moment and not being able to see ahead of me to stop for it.
  14. yeah I asked my dealer and they said it's probably because they couldn't get the tint for the tuxedo black due to the tsunami, which sucks. he said he would look into if they would swap it or not though. i did get my vinyl in the mail though.
  15. 35w 4500k look really good on mine. a lot better than stock but not over whelming for oncoming traffic. they are pretty white.
  16. i'd love to get the emblems in black with white text.
  17. well you replying to my post about it not working and posting all the cars it works on made it look like you didn't understand what I was saying. So sorry I took it the wrong way.
  18. from what i've read you can't use the SCT tuner on the 3.7L V6 Edge Sport yet.
  19. that does not look like it would mate up to a 3.5L N/A v6 none of the vehicles you listed are the edge, this is an edge forum.

    Bugs!

Since it was a mild winter bugs seem to be out in full force early. Even up here in PA there have been tons of bugs splattered and it's not just limited to my Edge.
  21. you can use the collinite 845 or any wax/sealant on the grille and wheels.
  22. in the owners manual for my 2012 there is a section called scheduled maintenance. For changing it just says do not exceed 1 year or 10,000 miles. Then it tells you when, with normal driving it says 7500-10,000 miles, severe driving, 5000-7499, and extreme 3000-4999
  23. pretty sure there is, isn't there a maintenance guide too?
  24. http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/DDM-HID-Kit-Slim-Ballast-35W-or-55W 9006, you pick 35 or 55w buy the harness or don't i bought the 35w without a harness, seem fine so far. there are more threads in this section you should read up on.
