We just drove all over Belgium this weekend and 2 hours into our trip, this happened to us. So we had to listen to the blinker for about 1400km. I ended up pulling the fuse that controls the left turn signals. We used hand motions in cities to turn left. Since pushing the turn stalk up to turn right didn't work, we used the hazards button to turn right. Since the left signals were disabled, only the right one would flash. Tomorrow I will call Ford to get it fixed.

What have you done to/with your Edge/MKX today?
Cellbine replied to WWWPerfA_ZN0W's topic in Accessories & Modifications
Just got back from a 900 mile road trip to Prague --> Dresden --> Nuremberg --> Home. Noticed a big difference in road noise actually. When I first started driving with the new tires I didn't really notice, but then I realized there was no rhythmic sound in the back passenger side of the car. I guess I had a balance problem with that wheel and never realized it because I got the car new. But the ride is nice and quite now. Very happy with the purchase. -
LED Ground Effect Signals
Cellbine replied to Cellbine's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
Yeah, I go back to work in a few days. Im still on R&R from my deployment. But I recorded that video a year ago. Have been sitting on it for some time. So the "work" part on making the vid was 90% done. Just a few updates and I was ready to rock and roll!- 4 replies

Hey all, I completed this mod almost a year ago, but haven't been able to post it until now. Take a look: I am about to head out on a weekend trip to Prague and Dresden so I won't be able to answer any questions until I get back. But I want to let you know about the basics of the instillation. First, I routed the turn signal wiring to the back of the vehicle through flexible black plastic tubing directly underneath the spare tire. Then I went through a grommet directly underneath the spare tire and continued to route the wires under the flooring and to each of the respective rear lights. This is where I tapped into the wiring. I had to take up the plastic molding around the cargo area and routed the wiring under it to hide everything. The break and reverse lights are in the same light bar and I mounted that directly under the rear bumper and routed the wiring to join the turn signals at the grommet. I just needed to tap into one side for the break and reverse lights to work. Let me know what you think! Ill try to answer your questions as best I can when we get back.

First mods for my 2011 Edge Limited
Cellbine replied to splork's topic in Accessories & Modifications
That's a good idea. I like that. I might have to order an OEM set myself to be able to swap out if Korea doesn't agree with my taste in lights. -
First mods for my 2011 Edge Limited
Cellbine replied to splork's topic in Accessories & Modifications
Hey, just saw this thread. Glad my vids helped you out. From what you have written, it sounds like you got new headlights. Did you get them from Dynamikillu5ions? Here is my headlight vid for those that haven't seen it: They have lots more options available these days. -
Plasti-Dip or Vinyl? Darkening one chrome Grill rail Advice please!
Cellbine replied to Cabdog47's topic in Welcome Forum!
Thanks for the compliments! Working on my Edge has been fun. The following link is to one of the best threads for your interests. You have probably read it. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/10342-new-grille-solution/?p=77729 Hopefully you can find some information in there to help your needs. Just doing the top strip should make your task really easy. I had to do my entire grill! That was tough. -
Vinyl film Recommendations? Plasti-Dip?
Cellbine replied to Cabdog47's topic in Accessories & Modifications
It is going to be up to your taste in the end. I have had vinyl and PD and I prefer the PD because it gives me a matte finish, peels off, and is cheap. You could always get it painted and finished. But yeah, use the google search bar at the top left of every page on this site and you will get much better results in finding your answer here. Lots of threads. My grill is currently PD'd. -
Plasti-Dip or Vinyl? Darkening one chrome Grill rail Advice please!
Cellbine replied to Cabdog47's topic in Welcome Forum!
I have done vinyl and PD in the past. I stick with the PD because it is easy to install and isn't permanent. Check my sig for what it looks like. My emblem is also dipped. Removing the vinyl left a residue on my inserts that took time and effort to remove. Just FYI. -
New wheels look great!

What have you done to/with your Edge/MKX today?
Cellbine replied to WWWPerfA_ZN0W's topic in Accessories & Modifications
Yeah, it paid off really well! Looks like there is rash on each wheel too...I just need to find the time and motivation to do it. I want to be pissed at the guys at the shop, but they didn't actually damage anything. Unless I take the PD off and see other wise. -

New shoes installed: The tires I went with are Continental Cross Contact LX20. Glad my rims were plasti-dipped because whoever changed the was not gentle. Check out the tool rash. -

I thought about that, but honestly they were only 50 bucks. Lasted a little less than 2 years. Im ok with that. I miss the color match, but I think Im going to look for a cooler white halogen bulb. From what I know about light laws in Korea, looks like I won't be allowed mods that aren't stock. I could be fined each time an officer pulls me over. So I am looking at my options. I don't want to have to go back to all stock but I might have to go back to OEM headlights and those crappy vertical running lights.... These look great! I am really surprised on how well the stain came out. I would get them for my ride, but we don't have a need for them yet. -

After coming home, I noticed that my passenger side HID wasn't firing all the time. I watched it after getting home one day from a trip to Frankfurt and noticed that it would slowly change colors and then turn off. It all happened within about 20 seconds of turning on. So, I had to re-install the OEM bulbs. It was easy to rip out the DDM Tunning HID stuff but putting that bulb back into it's socket was an absolute nightmare! You have to set it just right for it to seat. Took me about 20 mins to get the driver's side in. I am happy to have the headlights functional again but I am not happy about the color. This is what I did tonight... -
Hey all, Just wanted to drop a quick line and say that I made it home safely. Thanks for all the support while I was away!

How To: Replace Door Latch Module for Door Ajar Warning
Cellbine replied to 12Edge's topic in Exterior & Body
Just saw this write up, thanks for making it! I'm sure it will help people out that are out of warranty. -
I think putting a full air intake kit on my Edge would be cool, but personally I am satisfied with where my Edge is. I don't think I would be able to bring myself to buy one.

I have had my drop in K&N filter for over a year now. I can't claim any hp increase, but my average mpg increased from about 19 to 21 or so.
-
Can anyone post a picture of it installed? I researched getting one a while back but decided to hold off because I heard they were terrible. I'd still like to see a pic though.

Grille Is there no aftermarket Grilles for 2011+ Edge?
Cellbine replied to cbrescia's topic in Accessories & Modifications
Mine is PlastiDipped. -
Welcome. Also, the google search in the top left area of the webpages are the best search function for finding anything on the forum.

I have a video tutorial on this. Check out the link in my signature about plastidip'd rims for more information. All the steps in that video will be the same for your grill too.
