Thanks for this thread! I just made mine today. Cost me $4.60 for all materials and time spent at the wood shop. Just got sheet foam to cover the top, sadly they didn't have black. Darkish blue was the closest thing to a man's color they had there lol. Thanks everyone for all your input on the design. Here is how it turned out:

First, Welcome to the forums! I have no doubt that you will love your Edge, especially here in Germany. Its a head turner for sure! I really hope they release maps for europe. I wish I could use my navigation here in Germany. I called Ford about the preformance update and asked them if they have a european update coming out. They said they have nothing in the works for a european update, but they could just be lying to me becuase they are not ready to go public with it. Here is my question, does the Edge GPS hardware even work with european satilites?

I really like the size of the tires. Great choice! Did you upgrade from 18"ers? How does the ride feel now?

I appreciate your input too FordGuru and everyone else. I had the A/M filter on for 30 miles before I took it off. I have learned to seriously appreciate what Ford has put into the car. I love my Edge and tend to keep it for a very long time, keeping the insides as is.

So my engine light ended up coming on. I really didnt like that, so I reinstalled the original air filtration system and things instantly went back to normal. I haven't gotten any errors for over a week now. I feel so relieved!

Thanks for the input. Ill keep an eye on it for a few days. Hopefully it settles down. This is the first thing I've really done to the car, so I'm a bit paranoid.

Hey guys, So today my buddy and I replaced my air filter with a specter filter on my 2011 Edge Limited. Everything seemed to go well. When I started the engine back up, it choked a bit (probably because its not used to the amount of air its getting now), but that went away. The engine sounds good, but when I was driving home I started to hear a light rattle when I pressed on the accelerator. The rattle only seemed to come when I lightly pressed on the gas. Then I started to get this error: Service AdvanceTrac. Then the AdvanceTrac and AdvanceTrac OFF error symbols come on in my dashboard. I have 6k miles on her and the warming only came on after I about 50 mph. It went on and off a few times. Anyone have an idea why? Overall instillation: Re-instillation of sensor: I didn't completely uninstall the casing for the stock intake, which helped support the new one. Ill replace it after I find a more permanent solution. View underneath:

So I came across this a few months ago, thought I'd share it. An app was developed that allowed you to exit your vehicle and park it remotely from your smartphone. I personally dont see me using this, as I probably would aready have my car parked by the time someone using this app starts to park theirs, but it seems interesting. Check it out.

I'm sure you all found a solution, but I bought some for my car in Ramstein, Germany. Let me know if you still need them, they are pretty cheap. I'll have to check on the price though. PM me if you need one, we will talk.

Wow. I'm in the same boat, pretty much all of my spokes have it on them. Maybe I'll spend next weekend scrubbing away. You can't really notice it until you get close to the vehicle, but I'll know if they aren't clean...I'll know. Thanks for telling me what you went through. Your past is now my nightmare

Did anyone else have issues with residue on their wheels when they first got their car? It was left on there after I removed the protective covering on the rims. I received my Edge straight from the factory, it didn't pass through dealer hands. I've tried Goo Gone, but its not really working. Any help would be appreciated. Keep in mind that I live in Germany, so I can't walk to Walmart to get something. ^_^
