  1. I have one for accidents as well. Before my Edge got here, I was involved in 2 accidents, neither my fault. So when our Edge arrived, we used some of our "Sorry" money from the insurance companies to get and install a front and rear blackbox. I have the iRoad V7. Here is the thread I started on it with pics: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/17122-black-box-iroad-t7/?p=123087
  2. You're headlights should be the same as all others, with a dust cover. Here is a picture of what they look like: It is the circle disc not he back of the unit. Mine are drilled in the middle to get the wires through for my HID conversion.
  3. So I washed the Edge today for the first time with a sponge and bucket. It was a mistake, let me tell you why. Our house does not have an outside water source, so we have to tap into the one inside. We bought one of those magic hoses because there wasn't another one long enough to get out to the car. Supposedly it will increase 3x its length but didn't make it out the front door. So I had to rinse it by repeatedly filling up the bucket with water and pouring it over the Edge. It was not an enjoyable time. Probably about 15 buckets of water...Not the perfect wash, but much better than it looked before I started. But I am still impressed with the color of our Edge. I think it is the best color of all the "browns" Ford has put out. It can look black in the shade and brown in the light, and the metal flakes give it a lot of depth.
  4. 우리 집에는 김치냉장고 있어요. 김치가 매일 먹어수있어요. 메롱~~~~
  5. 0.2 x 12 cleans = 2.4 + the 27 MPG Ford GUARANTEED on my window sticker = 29.4 MPG. Never drops below it, even in the city.
  6. With my K&N filter, I steadily gain about 0.2 MPG each time I clean it. I clean it once a month now and I am super happy with the performance gains. . . . . . . . .ehhem....
  7. Thanks Jim! I really appreciate that! It has changed a lot since we left Germany though. I had to remove all my custom lights, DTBLs included =(
  8. Right, that is why we removed my bumper LOL. Took a little extra time but was stress free!
  9. Not sure when you are coming back to Seoul, but if you do make sure to drop me a line and we can meet up!
  10. With the 2 capacitors in my relay harness, my lights fire up in about 5 secs (give or take) and brights are instant. Here is the link to the Harness I am using, courtesy of WWWPerf!: http://www.theretrofitsource.com/components/harnesses/morimoto-9006-low-beam-relay-wire-harness.html#.VPaf5EJMM7k
  11. I would probably go for Magnetic first, then Guard. Personal pref. Deep Impact Blue looks good, just not my style.
  12. I installed my last set of HIDs without removing the bumper and headlights. However, everyone on this site will probably tell you that installing the bulbs are a pain in the @$$ if you don't! I had my cousin here to help me, so it was quick to remove the bumper and get the kit properly mounted and installed. The equipment install is so much easier if you are not having to contorsion your hand to get the bulbs in if you remove your headlights. Not a requirement though.
  13. These HIDs are extremely bright. Brighter than normal 55W kits. I am still testing to see if they are too bright though. Last night I drove around the city for about 30 mins. I didn't get flashed but there was one car in front of me that put his hazards on and started driving a bit crazy and pulled over. Now, crazy stuff happens all the time on the road over here so I can't say 100% it was because of my lights. Further time will tell.
  14. Well, it's night now. Here are some pics and videos of the HIDs. Here is the light pattern against my house. It seems like there is some ambient light that gets thrown above the hard cut. It happens on both sides but more so on the passenger side. I think you can see this in the road test video below also. Do you think this will be a big problem? Also, it does seem like the passenger side has a hotspot. I might need to rotate the bulb....that is going to suck! Crazy how you can see the beams of light so well in these pics! Walk around: Short Road test: Here you can see that the brights fire almost instantly with no buildup. I attribute that to the relay harness. Video came from my blackbox, so sorry about the video/audio quality.
  15. Yup, looks great! If you wanted to, you could install HIDs to color match your DRLs and get some extra visibility. That would look awesome!
  16. Good info to know. I have 18s on mine but love the look of the 20s. I will keep this in mind if I ever change my rims.
  17. This is a cool idea! I like option 1 better.
  18. I was finally able to install my HIDs today. They look sharp. I can't wait to see how they preform at night. (I'll post night time pics later.) Here are some pics we snapped during instillation. With the bumper removed we were able to route all the cabling properly and easily install the bulbs and ballasts: TRS harness mounted capacitors: The driver's side ballast had to be installed this way to allow for the headlight to fit into place, so I cut some metal strapping to keep it from sliding out of it's mount. I still had to trim the tabs to get it to fit in the slots: Operational!
  19. Finally got the harness in the mail. my cousin is coming over tomorrow to help with the install, then we will go out and travel Korea a bit. Also, washed the Edge today: For those that don't know, this is the season for yellow dust here in Korea. Dust gets kicked up from China's deserts and collects pollution on its way down to South Korea. The sky turns yellow and it gets hard to breath outside. Then it settles on your car...I miss my German garage!
  20. I have not removed the dip on my wheels since I put them on a year and a half ago. The only damage is from a shop putting new tires on. I have not had to touch them up at all before that.
  21. Thanks everyone. This will most likely be the last time I post pics of her, unless she appears naturally in pics with the Edge.
  22. We drove our daughter home in the Edge yesterday Claire 예니 (Yeny) Delivery went well. 9 lbs 2 oz and 20.4in long. She is super healthy and Mom is recovery very quickly.
  23. Hey Zep, 4 cans should be more than enough. I imagine you are talking about the gloss? It will just be a personal decision you will have to make to go with the flat look or the gloss look. The only extra protection it should provide is another layer to go through for anything that attacks your rims.
  24. Thanks everyone. I am thankful to have friends with knowledge like this and appreciate your help. I took a quick look at the thread you posted Perf. I will take some time and read through it. Seems like a great post! This is the only thing holding me back from installing the HIDs. I don't want to rush it just because the parts are here. I want to use quality parts the first time I install it.
