Yes, it's happening to me too. I also miss the section at the top right of the main page that lets you easily follow the threads you're involved with.

I really love the D90 for taking pictures. Ive played around with the 5100 and it is nice. I like some of the new photo modes like color selection. But we are primarily buying a new camera for the video function. I don't want to buy a camcorder and the video on the D90 does not meet our needs. I'm actually leaning towards a cannon atm. oh, we also have to stay under the $900 range, thats our budget. Nice shot. We haven't been there yet, but its on our list while we live in Germany.

I see, thanks for the explanation.

You have a '11 Sport right? I thought the sports came with ~305hp and the 3.5L came with ~285hp. I'm afraid to test mine now.

We were going for a more "plush" and economic ride, so we went with the 18's. I haven't looked back and am very satisfied.

Right, the navigation graphics are handled elsewhere now. Been awhile since I read up on what they actually did.
-
They just reprogrammed the program to distrubute the processing more evenly across the hardware. I believe the Navigation is now handled by a seperate part of the computer. This freed up processing power for the rest of the functions. SYNC now responds faster to voice commands right after you start up and more. I like the GUI and the climate controls better but I do miss the temp being displayed by the clock. I had no problems with the previous version, but I'm so glad I upgraded.

2011+ Edge Cargo Privacy Shade/Cover?
Cellbine replied to Cellbine's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
Thats a great idea! I keep my emergency triangle and a reflective vest under there. I have to get my hands on some felt now. -
Samsung Note compatable with Sync voice message

I keep hearing about not being able to mount it with the phone still in its case. I saw that it has functionalities that let you talk to the mount. Thats cool and all, but don't I have a car that can already do that . Its looking more and more like I might pass on this one. Still haven't decided yet...besides, I don't even have the phone yet! lol -
2011+ Edge Cargo Privacy Shade/Cover?
Cellbine replied to Cellbine's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
Thanks for your response Mike. Since I have posted my question here, I have thought about getting one but I'm now really satisfied with the tint on the back windows. I actually haven't hauled much in the cargo area that would need covering yet. But I do like to be prepared (I'm an Eagle Scout). Thats why I ordered my Edge with a roof rack and the towing package. I just don't know if I'll need it, but its there when I do. I'm glad that you like it, and I agree with Wiepse about Ford not having made one for production. If it came with one, I'm more than sure I would be happy with it. -

Samsung Note compatable with Sync voice message
Cellbine replied to KonaBlueSport's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
You know what, my whole family has iPhones, I've only had one and I have an android right now. I like apple, but its not the end all for me. I was so excited to see everything that the Note offers. I have been researching it for weeks lol. It is a bit big, but I keep hearing that concerns of size disappear after you've had it for a few days. I like the fact that it integrates so well with the Edge. Needless to say, I'm ready for a bad phone for my bad car! -

This is great news! The Note is my next phone. Do you like it? I can't wait to get mine -
Hey JD, My Edge is US spec and I can tell you this. When I turn my parking lights on, the DRLs (vertical LEDs) come on and my OEM turn signal amber lights come on and stay on. Then once I used my turn indicator, the turn signals would blink and then turn back to constantly being on after the turn was complete. I replaced those OEM amber turn signal lights with these switchback LEDs. For simplicity, the switchback lights are designed to work like this. When you turn your lights on, or just the parking lights on, a current is supplied to the LEDs which turns the white LEDs on. The white is the constant color that is displayed. Then when you use your turn indicator, it sends an additional current down the line to those LEDs, which intern triggers the LED to stop displaying white and to blink amber. Then, after the turn is complete, the white color is constantly displayed again. There were no wiring changes that I had to make. They were simply "plug and play" LEDs. If your Edge is European spec, then I don't know if they are wired the same (maybe someone else on the forum has that answer).

Welcome to the Edge family! I have looked plasti-dip over a few times because I like the idea. Buy I'm just afraid it will look too cheap. I saw your pics and the finish looks really well. You did a great job getting an even coat on them. Did you take them off to dip them or just tape the brake and roaters up?

Since people are sharing . Thought I would throw some out there. I haven't spent a lot of time editing photos yet, so these are just raw. Just realized these pics are way to big to view like this . Sorry guys. I can reload them at a smaller size if you want. I don't want to spam~

Wow, great pics everyone! I use a D90, but its about time for us to upgrade to the 5100. I just really don't like the flippy LCD. I love the original button layout and that LCD screen just screws everything up!

Ok, so here is a video I shot, day and night time, of the LEDs. I uploaded to youtube in HD quality, but it seems to only appear in 480. Sorry if the quality is a bit low. We are going to upgrade our camera soon. Its hard to see the LEDs at night with the headlights on because of the camera, so we turned them off so you could get the full effect of how they look at night. Notice the LEDs above the license plate? Thanks to kc300c, my Edge has an attractive rear end http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=reu8pwEjzfk
