  1. Hahahaha! This is awesome. Must have been some sight to see. To bad that pic didn't happen. You know what they say about that... j/k
  2. Very cool. I totally understand. You will love your BrightLItes. They are amazing!
  3. Thanks for finding out that information. Are you going to add the resistors or go for the type 1's?
  4. Sorry to hear that its on back order guys. Hopefully the time passes quickly!

Shot I snapped with my phone as the wife and I stopped at a local lake for a walk.
  7. Sorry to hear that Fish. Are you still considering ordering the ones like mine?
  8. Pretty sure that is your car Dingo :hysterical2:
  9. This looks amazing. Thanks for posting it! I checked out White's FB page and he is doing some amazing work. I sent you a PM White =)
  10. Go to your wallpaper section and click Add I believe. Make sure you have a thumb drive plugged in with the wallpapers you want. You have to select the images one by one. Feel free to take any of the images I posted above and I hope this helps. Your car must be parked or barely moving to change the wallpaper, but I don't recommend you trying this when the car is in motion.
  11. Here is a review I did on www.daytimebrightlites.com, check it out.
  12. Nice shot! Cars always look more aggresive when you can get all 4 shoes in the picture. I like the new wheels!
  13. Wow, nice start on the mods. You dont waste time lol. Welcome to the forums and into your new Edge!
  14. Cool! So did you do the install yourself? If so, did you or Whiteis33 create a step-by-step guide for us?? I'm curious how much this cost you and Whiteis33.
  15. Skillz, Welcome to the Edge family! I have already seen you around the forums a little bit, but wanted to send you a welcome. Hope you enjoy your Edge as much as I do mine.
  16. Very cool to hear you have another dream car! Thanks for the shout out. I really enjoy my new signature. If you want me to make you one, send me a PM and I will give you some instructions to get the shots I need. I have to say, I am jealous of your vista roof. Man, I should have pony'd up the extra cash to get it. I think the color of your Edge is really unique and I dont think you will see many of the same out on the road. When you wrap your grill, make sure you get the right wrap to your liking. I have the metallic black, but if you dont like the sparkle be sure to get a different kind. Have fun with all your modifications and let me know if you have questions. See you around!
  17. Thanks for posting these pics Jaramie. The CCFL rings definately have more of that newer BMW feel to them. I'm happy to see they aren't the yellowish color :shades: Is that as bright as they go?
  18. PrinzII, When I go back and look at the pic I posted, I have to tell you that the camera fills a lot of space in with the light. The bulbs light pattern does not fill in the turn signal housing like it shows in the picture. You can get a better representation of how the look by watching the second video I posted on day and nighttime driving located on the first page of this thread. Here: http://www.fordedgef...all/#entry77908 That being said, the LED color isn't an exact match with the HIDs, but I think the slight difference in color actually helps distinguish the turn signal a little bit more. Go with which ever color you gut feels is the right one to get. I just want you to make the best decision for your Edge. Sure Skillz, here is the break down and I hope this answers your questions. Ill first tackle how the switchback works. Short and simple, when your parking/headlights are on there is a constant current sent to your turn signals. This current is what tells the LEDs to display white. They will continue to display this color until you hit the turn signal or hazard lights. At that point in time, and additional current is sent to the LEDs which tell it to flash amber. Once the turn is complete, you turn off the turn signal, or turn the hazards off, the LEDs go back to displaying a constant whtie. Second, there are two types, from the site I got mine from, that are available. Here is what I posted earlier on the subject:
  19. I didn't have a huge problem getting my cover back on. I think its all about the angle because the filter can get caught at the pivot point forcing it to move. That made it hard for me until I saw what was happening. I think I remember closing it slowly to make sure the filter didn't move and if it did, I would hold the filter in place until it could close properly. As for the performance, I haven't noticed too much of a change. My MPG dropped a little. Still debating if I'm going to keep it in or not.
  20. Welcome to the forums and into your new Edge! I also have the light stone interior. The only thing I want to say about that, is watch out for the color of your pants rubbing off on it. These cars are amazing and I am sure you will have a great time mod'ing yours. Good luck and hope to see you around the forums.
  21. Here is a pic I shot a while back. I think the color difference is negligible, but the lines could be blurred a bit because of the camera. 35W 5,000k bulbs.
  22. Halos really interest me on an Edge. I have new DRLs installed and now I don't drive around with my headlights on anymore. Now I feel like something by the headlights, style wise, is missing and I think something like this would really hit the spot. Whiteis33, would you mind posting a pic with the Halos turned off? I'm curious to see what they look like when not lit up. Also, if you are feeling up to it, some pics of the alternate colors. Jeramie, do you have yours installed on your Edge? If so, I would like to see pics of your CCFL Halos. Are yours brilliant white or the yellowish color on the older BMWs? Also interested in how thick they appear. Thanks! It's times like this when I wish I lived in the states, because I can't get something like this done here. I don't feel super confident tackling this mod on my own yet, but God do I want to!
  23. Good find. I think the switchbacks that I have are 6,000k. I love that I have the type 1 version. When the turn signal is applied on Type 1, the LEDs alternate between white and amber. With Type 2, the switchbacks only display amber flashing LEDs and then go back to white when the signal is turned off. Thats the only reason I'm not going to get these 5,000k. Although they would compliment my 5,000k HIDs a little better.
