Yes, on your left LCD screen in your instrument panel go to the Information section (at the very bottom) and then to System Check. It will look like this:

I took a closer look at the pictures and noticed something. The pictures show the LEDs alternating between White and Amber LEDs. To me this looks doctored and not true to its true operation because the colors change on the same LED node. I don't think that one LED node can alternate between colors like shown in the gif below (taken from the seller's ebay item page). If you look at my video and skip to about the 2m02sec mark, you can see that the alternating colors are not on the same LED nodes. Keep in mind that I have type 1's from VLED. I have linked my video below so you don't have to skip back and forth between the start of the thread. On the other hand if the LEDs are true to the gif the seller has posted, then the LEDs he is selling could be twice as bright. If they are, I am very curious as to how they turn out.

Agreed. -
I wish the track between the windshield and the door were different. I don't know how it should change, but whenever I use my windshield wiper fluid more than one squirt it goes all over my side window. Very annoying! This is the track I'm talking about:

Driver door - What did I break?!?
Cellbine replied to DunePearlEdge's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
As far as I know, it is in the locking mechanism. Can anyone confirm if the switch is located in the locking mechanism for an '07 like it is in an '11+ model? -
Driver door - What did I break?!?
Cellbine replied to DunePearlEdge's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
Hey Dune, Sorry your having this trouble with your car. I would imagine that if you pulled super hard that there would be something wrong with the door handle and not the door itself. Have you give your door hinges a good inspection to see if there was anything that could have bent around that area? There have been quite a few of us with the new gen Edges that have issues with our door locking mech. It would malfucntion saying that our door was open all the time, but I don't know if that is a big problem with the your model. Here are some of the threads that talk about that. Might be an informative read for you: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/10869-door-ajar-warning-on-at-all-times/ http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/11664-driver-side-door-alert/ Can you be a little more specific when you say you "have to pull the handle to get it to open"? Which handle are you talking about, inside or outside handle? Is there something different about the way the handle operates now after you had to pull hard to open the door? -
Yeah, those can cost around $1800. Our German members can correct me if I'm wrong. The test for it has a high failure rate too.

KC was correct about the little bit of blue at the top edge of the light, but I honestly don't notice it anymore. Its literally just the edge that has a hint of blue in it. The rest of the light output is bright white. I didn't use a coupon, but you might find one here: http://bit.ly/WyzMDz -
Passenger Mirror Busted

I'm not sure if your only looking to replace the mirror or the whole unit, but check out these and see if they meet your needs. They are only about $30-50 and are OEM: http://www.levittownfordsupercenter.com/repair-parts/ford/edge/2007/front-door/outside-mirrors/mirror-glass/ -
**It's important to note that what I have written below is specifically for 3.5L '11 LImited, BUT is what you should look for in your manual. Page references may vary** I have been thinking about this recently too. In reading up on the manual, it states (for my '11 3.5L, not an EcoBoost), "You should perform the engine oil change as indicated by the message center...Your oil change service interval can be up to one year or 10,000 miles (16,000km)...If your message center is prematurely reset or becomes inoperative, you should perform the oil change interval at six months or 5,000 miles (8,000 km) from your last oil change." (pg. 377 Scheduled Maintenance) It is also noted in the manual, pg. 379, that you should perform services noted on your scheduled maintenance table within 3,000 miles (4,800 km) of the OIL CHANGE REQUIRED message appearing on your message center or when your milage indicates service is due. I hope this helps you find an answer. Let us know what you find out :D

I was just as taken back as you Akirby. That price also didn't include the 19% tax Germany slaps on everything.

I asked a German buddy of mine and he said oil can run over 20 Euro a quart. He pays about 24 Euros a quart. So let's say 20 Euro x 6qts. You're looking at 120 Euro. At today's exchange rate (0.738254), you're looking at about 162.54 USD. That's just for the oil. I don't know what the oil filter runs, but I don't think it's much more than what you pay in the States. 24 Euro a quart, like my buddy pays, will cost you 195.051 USD. Just think, if you took it to the dealer, you would have to pay for labor and that outrageous multi-point inspection fee. So, I just went on base to the BX and bought my oil there for about $50 then took the Edge to the Auto Hobby shop and paid $6 to use the lift. I ordered my filter from http://levittownfordsupercenter.com/ . Got two of them so I'm ready for the next change.

Droid DNA with Ford SYNC?
Cellbine replied to KingMike's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
Pretty sure all of my contact pictures work....when my phone does. Dingo, did you have the original Note? If so, how did yours work with MFT? -

Droid DNA with Ford SYNC?
Cellbine replied to KingMike's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
I have a Galaxy Note and I actually have problems with MFT with it. It constantly drops connection to Sync and when it does stay connected, the phone has to be so close to the head unit for calls to come through clearly. I do think it is a problem with the phone because my wifi in the house sucks on it. I have to be within 40ft or so of the router for it to pick up a signal. Anything beyond that, it drops connection. All my other devices work fine in the house. I just waiting on some kind of update to the OS in hopes that it will fix the issue because I love this phone. It worked before the last phone update so I tried rolling back, but I don't think that's possible. Even tried factory reseting the phone. No luck. If anything, after the new SD card with maps gets to me, Ill see if the new MFT update helps. I would really like to use my phone as inteded with MFT. -
:hysterical2: Come to think of it, I just had the manual open last week to see what kind of oil I needed. I probably scanned right over it.

Thanks, I should have known to look there.

Forgot to ask, how many quarts do I need to buy for changing my own oil?

Hi Czar, Where are you wanting to install the puddles? Do you already have puddle lights in your side view mirrors?
