  1. Glad to hear the Edge is holding strong in the earlier models too. Wanna: Don't be too jealous of the autobahn, it isn't all unlimited like you hear about. I think most people that drive on it cruise at an average of 85mp or so.
  2. The banner size can change. Robert said 1000x150 max. Here are two versions with hue to them. I think having to change the color of the forums is a bit dramatic.
  3. To please the masses. I didn't think that the license plate was discernible before. I like the back of the Edge shot.
  4. Thanks for your input! I only included one interior shot. Are you asking me to include another shot from the older models? I could replace the white Edge with one of those shots. Here are a few other versions. Let me know if you guys like these better or what other changes you want. Also, if you have better shots you want me to include. Version 2: Version 3: Version 4: Version 5:
  5. Hey guys, I finally sat down and put something together for this. Image size is 1000x120 px. I wanted to make sure we still rep the old body style, so I put a picture of one in there too. Take a look and let me know what you think!
  6. Been wanting to post in this thread for a loong time now. Bam!
  7. Thanks so much guys! BTW, we found another use for the fold down front seat. Diaper changes!!
  8. So I wanted to let you guys know that my son, Nathan, was born on 17 Feb! He was born weighting 9lbs 3oz and 21 inches long. Mom did great and we have been home for over a week now.
  9. Is - I must have missed those posts your referring too, but some wiring has been known to differ between production years. Joshua - The wire is located in the footwells on both the driver and passenger sides.
  10. I have mentioned in a couple other threads about a purple wire I needed to connect to for my rear puddle light instillation. This wire, in my '11 Limited, is the power for the side mirror puddle lights. It will supply power whenever the car is unlocked or when the doors are open. This might be a good option for your sill as they will not stay on all the time. Here is a pic of the wire: Hope this helps.
  11. I hear ya. Let us know if you tackle this project and how it turns out.

Hey Bob, I used good ole Plasti-dip. Easy to apply and easy to take off. My grill and rims are dipped as well. I think that I saw that you just made a lot of modifications to your Edge. If you want something more permanent, I would get yours painted. That takes a little more commitment though. Plasti-dip will only cost you about $6 a can and is easy to apply. A $6 trial run would be an inexpensive way to see if you like black or not. If you don't like it, just peel it off =)
  13. Keep in mind that if your distance and technique is right, you wont get drips. I didn't have any. :shades:
  14. Houston, there are many ways to do this. I'm simply showing you this way. I didn't want to take my wheels off so this was the choice for me.
  15. Have you programmed your key to your memory? I could be doing that because you grab the second key. I took this from the manual, pg. 134: Memory feature (seat and mirrors) (if equipped) Programming the memory feature to the transmitter: To activate this feature: 1. Move the driver seat and power mirrors to the desired positions using the associated controls. 2. Press and hold button 1 for five seconds. A tone will be heard after about two seconds confirming memory position has been set. Continue to hold until a second tone is heard after five seconds. 3. Within three seconds press Lock. (on your transmitter) ----------------------------------- Ah the courtesy wipe, one of the first things I disabled on my Edge. I got really annoyed that it would clean my already clean windshield and then leave streak marks on it from the window being dry. LOL
  16. Very cool. I wish I could get those coupons in Germany! lol Im from Dallas, so say hi to everyone for me! I mean everyone. haha
  17. Looks pretty good. Would you mind posting a wider shot of the front of your Edge? I'd like to see the bigger picture of how this effects the look. Not sure if I want to spring for this or not.
  18. Omar is right, check your settings for your camera. You should be able to turn those colored lines on and off.
  19. So I took the Edge out on the autobahn and brought her up to 100mph. Its not a huge deal but I have to say, it never gets old. Handling was solid at that speed and could have easily have pushed it past 100. Was a good little trip. Want to put a side note out there that road conditions were great and traffic was minimal. Obviously driving laws are different in Germany (compared to the States), but what kind of experiences do you have? How do you feel your Edge handles at the top end of the speed limits where you're from?
  20. I'm with you. I didn't know about the MKX when I purchased the Edge. I purchased overseas. But I think if I would have known, I probably would have gone with it. I love my Edge, but I was looking for a little more comfort (that's why I got the Limited). The MKX just has those extra things that I wanted.
  21. Welcome Jojo! I think it was about 3 weeks for me but I have a US address over here in Germany, so it might be longer or shorter for you.
  22. Indeed I did. Was simple and I'm glad I did it. I would have had to pay around 150 Euros for the dealer to do it here in Germany. Saved a lot of money! Glad my pic helped you out!
